CASEing Nicole

My fellow teamie, Nicole of Scraps & Stamps, has a FABULOUS video tutorial today over at the Inspired By Stamping blog!  It's all about coloring selectively with alcohol markers to create a watercolor effect.  Her card is AMAZING and I've CASEd her using some different colors and products, but it turned out fabulous--thanks, Nicole!

I've used the Spring Lilacs stamp set and Spring Lilacs paper from Inspired By Stamping, Spectrum Noir markers (LV1, LV2, LV3, LG1, LG2, LG3), black Staz-on ink, Gumball Green ink by Stampin' Up! for the splatters, metallic twine from my stash, and all card is from Stampin' Up!.

Technique Time Tuesday: Faux Shaving Cream

Hi, friends!  I missed the beginning of our challenge over at Technique Time Tuesday--we've got the SHAVING CREAM technique going on over there--and since we've had a foot of snow and I am not leaving the house (after having the flu), I had to figure out how to do the shaving cream technique without shaving cream!

I've used another darling digi from Diane's Daydream Designs, Spectrum Noir markers to color the image, patterned paper and twine from my stash, glitter by Studio G, and card stock by Stampin' Up!.

To create that fuzzy area around the butterfly (trying to make it look like the wings are fluttering), I colored the image on the original card with blue tones and then used a blender pen to feather it outwards.  I then colored another butterfly, cut it out, and popped it up on top!  And added glitter!!!

I think this card is destined to go to a very sweet friend--my friend make my heart smile! :)

More Puppy Love

So, my puppy just ran downstairs after hearing me open a package of Girl Scout cookies.  Hmmm...I think your cuddles have a darker and more sinister meaning right now, little girl! LOL!  I just LOVE my puppy girl!  So I couldn't just make ONE Valentine with a pup on it, and I just bought the most darling digi that is perfect to show some puppy love!
