Shamrock Wish

Hi, friends! Thanks for stopping by today! I have been going through my stash and trying to use things that haven't been opened (and I've had them for almost a year--EEK!), and I came up with a fun and festive St. Patrick's Day creation to share with you today! Take a peek...

I used the gingham washi tape set from Doodlebug to create my rainbow. The die cut sentiment is from The Stamps of Life, and the clover elements are from a lot of buttons I bought at a garage sale. I added some green glitter gems from Doodlebug to add more shine and texture.

I really adore the way this turned out, and I hope you do, too! I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

I'm entering this card into these fabulous challenges~

Thanks again for stopping by! I hope you have fun celebrating St. Patrick's Day this weekend! If you take some time to craft, won't you join in the fun of these amazing challenges?! Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping!

DDD: Irish Blessing + Wednesday Wisdom

Hello again, dear friends!  Welcome to another weekly post for me for Diane's Daydream Designs!  This week, I've got a green creation for you--it's getting to be that time of year when leprechauns come out of the wood work, you know! ;)  I've used the Irish Blessings Sentiments set to create my card for this week.  Come and take a peek!

Here's my card~

Detail~

This card made me think of all the people that have blessed my life.  They have always blessed me by serving me.  Thinking of service reminds me of one of my all time favorite verses from The Book of Mormon.  In Mosiah 2:17, King Benjamin tells his people,

"And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God."

Each time we serve someone that is close to us, or even someone not close to us, we are literally becoming God's hands here on the earth and the service we perform for our fellow men is the same as if we were serving God Himself.  What a wonderful opportunity we have to show our love for God by serving each other!

Thanks for stopping by to look at my creation today!  I hope you take some time today to serve someone--even if it is just by giving a simple smile!  I also hope that you are able to feel God's love for you today and always--it never changes.  HUGS and happy stamping, friends!

Good Luck with Faux Embossing!

Yep. I tried me out a new technique tonight--faux embossing! And I am so pleased with the results, that I couldn't wait to share it with y'all! :)

I'm gonna get straight to the point and show you the card first, then tell you what challenges I'd like to enter it into. I'm much more pleased with this card than the first one I posted this month, so if you don't agree, please don't tell me! ;D

Here's the card and details~

Isn't it FUN?! And so seasonally appropriate. Fabulous! And faux embossing is so fun to play with--I made another card with the same technique that I'll show you tomorrow. :) All you need to do is either punch or die cut paper in the same color as your panel and attach them as you desire. For this card, I used a small heart punch to create four leaf clovers. :)

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges~
