THE GREAT CRAFT ROOM MAKEOVER!!!

***WARNING: PICTURE HEAVY POST***

So, I've been a bit MIA--I know that I posted yesterday, but I always have my DT posts ready to go a month in advance. Yes. OCD. It works for me. Please keep reading this post. There is a card at the end! ;)

The reason I've been MIA is that I have been doing a craft room make-over!!! My craft room was an absolute DISASTER.

Take a look~

Yeah. And that was after I'd been cleaning for a few hours and deciding I could blog this. NOT EVEN JOKING. Not even joking a little bit. It was literally STILL this messy after cleaning for 2 HOURS, people. I could NOT sleep last night--I kept thinking of how to rearrange everything. I wanted to clean! I forced myself to sleep. So, I got up and the first thing I did after showering and eating breakfast this morning was CLEAN. And it was SO REWARDING!!!

Here's the after~

SOOOOO much better!!! My Big Shot actually fits on my desk! This whole thing started when I decided to put all my acrylic and clear mount sets into CD cases. So, I had to reorganize my desk area. And then the reorganizing turned into THE GREAT CRAFT ROOM MAKEOVER!!! I just haven't vacuumed...I don't vacuum my craft area regularly since there's always bits of paper on the floor two seconds later. What about you?

Thanks for listening to my rambling. Now, a card! This one's for the Creative Belli CAS challenge and the CR84FN color challenge.

Here's the CR84FN inspiration photo~

And here's the card~

Details~

So, there you have it! An awesome post from me! Now onto my next spring break goal--all DT cards and posts for April ready to go!!! ;) Thanks for popping by--hope you've been inspired to create something today!!! Happy stamping! :)

It's a bit busy, but I think it's bright and fun!!! I'll be sending it out to my nieces (ages 3 and 1) in Utah as their Easter card. They totally crack me up!!! :) Thanks to Jacqueline for having us make these for this challenge--they are so easy! I was really worried I'd kill a forest trying to figure it out, but I didn't!!! You won't, either, I promise! :)

Please link your projects up at the Make My Monday challenge blog--I can't wait to see everyone's spring cards! And check out the other DT members' cards! Happy stamping! :)

Crafty Cardmakers #63: Time

Welcome to another fabulous fortnightly Crafty Cardmakers Challenge! This time, we have the theme of TIME. Let's hear about our sponsors...

Our sponsors this time are:

$10 Gift Voucher

Di says, "I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!"

AND

They are offering the winner a £10 voucher for their store. You can spend this online, in the shop or, if you're lucky enough, when you see them at a craft show! They have a ton of items in their store, enough to tickle any crafty taste bud. :)

Are you itching to create something yet?! I can't wait to see everyone's creations! But first, won't you take a look at my card for this challenge?!

Here it is~

Details~

I've used a Tim Holtz dry embossing folder for my blue back panel, a Kaiser Craft acrylic stamp for my black and white panel, and my main image is by Pink Paislee. My sentiment is from a Prima set. I've colored the main winged clock with colored glittery gel pens for a pop of color and then added crackle accents on my main image face. I also added some thin black crocheted trim and some black rhinestones for some added texture.

What do you think? I thought it turned out rather well--very different from what I usually create, but that is the point of a challenge, isn't it?! I hope you come and join us--and check out my design teammates word--you won't be disappointed! Happy stamping! :)

Just under the wire...

Ooookay. I just realized I hadn't posted a card for "Spread the L-O-V-E" this week! SO, I'm doing it at 10:30 on Saturday night. ;)

This is a card that I will be giving my mother for her birthday. It's not until July, but I KNOW she'll love it, so I can't wait to give it to her! I used my PTI Simply Jane set again, and did my favorite punch frame technique thingy...a TIP when doing this--keep your punched out piece to use either on the card you're creating or on a new creation. Never waste your scraps!!! ;) (I used mine for my sentiment.)

Here's the card~

Details~

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Top Tip Tuesday~Mother's Day/Girlie
Papertake Weekly Challenges~Mom/Girlie
Creative Card Crew~Vintage

Thanks for taking a peek--as it's late and church is at 8:30am tomorrow, I'm off! :) Happy stamping and have a restful Sabbath! :)

52 CCT Theme Challenge #3

So, what are your thoughts about animals, deer friends? Did you see what I did there?! ;) This week at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown, I'd like to see some cards with Christmas animals on them! Birds are okay, too. Why? Because I've used a bird on one of my cards and love it and refuse to not use it this week! ;)

Here's a little inspiration photo for you~

See! Any animal can be a Christmas animal--just throw a Santa hat or scarf on it or give it a candy cane to hole! I hope this helps you want to join our fun! :) Now, onto my cards! :)

Card 1 and details~

This one didn't photography very well, but the main Rudolph image has a red rhinestone nose and is heat embossed deep brown on dark brown paper--it says "deer friend" all the way round. ;D I've used another reindeer image to create the back panel, and then colored specific pieces of each with a red glitter gel pen. Isn't it cute?! :)

Card 2 and details~

This is the bird one I told you I HAD to share this week!!! I've used oodles of beautiful shimmery white paper--and dry embossed some of it. I've used my current favorite punch window technique, but used dies cuts instead of punches for my window. It was originally going to be just white and green, but there was a strange bare spot. Now covered with roses--though they're not as deep IRL! :)

Thanks for looking, deer friends! ;) I can't wait to see all your super creations--and please take a little time to check out Jacqueline's amazing creations! Merry stamping! :)
