It's already 11:30pm?!

Wow.  It's kinda late!  Oh, well...I'll just take a nap after work again tomorrow... ;)  Seems to be my theme this week since last week was spring break and now I'm back to the "real world."

I've got a fun set of cards to show you tonight!  As it's almost Easter, but barely spring, I went with a spring theme that could be used as Easter cards should I choose to use them that way.  I made a box to go with them (I made 5) and stamped matching envelopes as well!

Ooookay. I just realized I hadn't posted a card for "Spread the L-O-V-E" this week! SO, I'm doing it at 10:30 on Saturday night. ;)

This is a card that I will be giving my mother for her birthday. It's not until July, but I KNOW she'll love it, so I can't wait to give it to her! I used my PTI Simply Jane set again, and did my favorite punch frame technique thingy...a TIP when doing this--keep your punched out piece to use either on the card you're creating or on a new creation. Never waste your scraps!!! ;) (I used mine for my sentiment.)

Water Coloring

Okay. This is my first attempt at water coloring...ever. I'm not even joking, folks. I have water color pens, and I've never used them! Which is why the challenge at Try It On Tuesday was so fabulous for me--they want us to water color! Well, count me in! I combined my water coloring with a ton of distressing, so this also qualifies for the current Prairie Fairy Friday challenge. Since I've used a vintage embossing folder pearls, and lace, I'm entering this into the Creative Card Crew challenge that calls for vintage creations. Now onto the card!

I started by dry embossing a white panel with a Tim Holtz folder. I then distressed the edges, crumpled it up, semi-flattened it, and water colored it with 6 different colors. Then I created my image panel by stamping the carnations and then water coloring around them. I then added shimmer with a Sakura clear glitter gel pen--my fave! I created the sentiment in the same way, and then put the card together!

Game Over

Well, hello! I have a quick card for you--it's for the Creative Card Crew challenge this week. The challenge is to create a masculine card. What's more masculine than video gaming?! Okay, hunting, guns, etc., but seriously. I found the cutest (NOT a very masculine word, is it?) set at a local craft store and had to buy it and make a card with it!!! I also purchased new Tim Holtz embossing folders, and so I used the cog one to emboss a panel. Totally masculine. ;) I stamped the controller three times and really layered them up.

My DH says it's the worst sympathy card imaginable. I told him it wasn't a sympathy card! It's a break up card. ;D Just kidding--it is what it is! What do you use this card for?! What do you think?

Let it snow! But not really...

Okay, as you all know, I have a love/hate relationship with snow.  I LOVE the way it looks right after it's finished and I LOVE the quiet while it falls.  I HATE driving in it and I HATE that it gets packed down and turns to either ice or slush.  It doesn't really matter, though, because our weather has been crazy warm and I'm not sure that we'll even get snow this season besides the dusting we had the other day that's already gone.  I'm NOT gonna complain!

Anyway, I've created a "Let is snow" card for a few challenges.

This card was a lot of fun to create--and I got to use my new Big Shot and Nestabilities dies again! :)  I also got to use dry and heat embossing and BLING, so this is definitely a card that I love! :)  I hope you come play along with us at the challenges I'm  entering--it's always such fun! THANK YOU friends, for stopping by tonight! :) I have so many things to be grateful for--I won't go into details, but I did want to do 5 of them in this post just to put them out there. Then I'll show you my card... :)

1. MY HUSBAND--he is my everything! He is my rock, he is my best friend, he is ALWAYS there for me. I am so incredibly lucky to have him--I cannot imagine my life without him!!!
2. MY PUPPY--oh my! I don't even know where I'd be without her! She makes infertility seem like a bump in my road. She is the sweetest thing to come home to!
3. MY HEALTH/MODERN TECHNOLOGY--I'm so grateful for the regularity that Metformin has brought to my PCOS filled life. SO much better! Anyone who knows what I'm talking about probably agrees!
4. MY BLOG FRIENDS--you truly lift me up and bring joy to my life!!! When I feel like there is nobody out there who cares, I can turn on my computer, log in to Blogger, and I immediately get positive feedback that I MATTER. And you'll never know how much I appreciate that!
5. MY FAITH--I am so blessed to be able to have the Lord, Jesus Christ, as my personal Savior. I am nothing without Him!

Okay, so there are my 5 for today--I HAD to post them!!! Now, why am I giving thanks? Well, yes, Thanksgiving is coming up, but I also found a new challenge that I would like to participate in--Creative Card Crew! This weeks challenge is THANKFUL. :) I am also submitting this to Truly Scrumptious--BINGO challenge. I chose embossing, buttons, and ribbon. :)
