Great Impressions: A Fish Bowl

Hello, all!  I'm back with another creation that uses stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  This week, the design team is featuring tutorials that have been shared on the Great Impressions blog.  I chose to make a shaped easel card.  Come and take a peek...

I decided to create a fun fish bowl card using G421 Bubble Fish as my image.  I stamped it, colored it in with glitter gel pens, then added it to the front of the easel using Glossy Accents, reinkers, and Stickles.  I then added some seashells and pearls to create a "sea floor".

I chose E767 Bubble Over as my sentiment because I LOVE LOVE LOVE a good pun!  This sentiment just seemed to be perfect!  It's even circular in shape, like the fish bowl easel!

I super duper LOVE the way this card turned out!  It turned out better than I expected, actually!  What do you think?  Love or hate?  I'm excited to find out, so please leave a comment below! :)

Inspired By Stamping: You Got This

Hi, all!  I'm back with another card using some beautiful stamps from the Inspired By Stamping online store!  We're sharing creations to fit our challenge this month.  You can choose one prompt, two prompts, as many as you'd like, then link up with us!  Take a peek at our inspirations...

                                    

                                     

I decided to use a bit of string, work with these gorgeous colors, and create a floral patterned background on my card.  Take a peek...

I heat embossed the flower image from the Flower of the Month: Aster stamp set and a butterfly image from the Butterflies stamp set onto some watercolor paper using clear embossing powder.  I then used inks to watercolor and create a fun background.

The sentiment is from the *NEW* Watercolor Sentiments stamp set and I chose to stamp it in black.  I decided to use black card for all my matting--I think it helps the watercoloring to POP a bit more. 

Some rhinestones and string finished off this card.  I LOVE the way this turned out--I adore the fun way the background turned out, especially!  What do you think?  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

CutCardStock: Nature Themed Petal Card

Hello, sweet friends!  I'm here with a card for the CutCardStock blog using beautiful cardstock from the CutCarStock online store!  Today, I'm sharing a decorated Basis Petal card that uses Stardream metallic cardstock to accent it.  Come and see...

I dry embossed the Aquamarine Stardream metallic cardstock and added a sentiment that was stamped on Sweet Tooth Pop Tones cardstock and matted with Black Licorice Pop Tones cardstock.  I love this sentiment--I think it goes well with the natural scene I created.

I fussy cut some Fairway Stardream metallic card to create my grassy knoll. The flowers were punched out of Azalea and Fine Gold Stardream metallic card and layered together.  The shine is just beautiful!

The last step was to add some satin ribbon to tie the card together in the back.  I'm not sure what I will put inside this card, but it will be something special!

CASE-ing Christmas: Wreath

Hello, all!  It's time for another weekly challenge at CASE-ing Christmas!  This week, we are CASEing former DT member Ellen, and her card is just brilliant!  Come and look...

I LOVED the white embossing on dark card, so that was the element I decided to use on my CASE card.  Come see my take...

I went for more traditional colors on top of a kraft base.  The wreath image, from a retired Close To My Heart set, was heat embossed in white onto Fairway Stardream Metallic Cardstock from CutCardStock. I used a Sakura glitter gel pen to color in the berries and give more shine and sparkle.

The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps and was heat embossed onto the card base using glittery red embossing powder from Sweet Stamps.  I love this beautiful sentiment!

The last step was to add some ribbon to the top of the card.  I felt it was needed to balance everything, especially the colors. :)  I really love the way this turned out, and I hope you do, as well!  Please let me know what you think in the comments below! :)

The Stamps of Life: Hello, Friend!

Hello, friends!  I am REALLY excited to share another card with you today that uses some wonderful products from The Stamps of Life online store.  It's a fun card that has NO STAMPING.  *GASP!*  I rarely make non-stamped cards, but this is one, and I LOVE it.  Check it out...

This fun die set is called Hello My Friend Circle Dies.  I LOVE the different ways you can use it--it comes in 2 pieces.  I die cut the sentiment out of some Licorice cardstock and then die cut a circle from Powdered Sugar cardstock to put behind it.  Both using the SAME die set. :)

I added some fun turquoise grosgrain ribbon to tie in the Ocean cardstock mat that I created for my Powdered Sugar cardstock card base.  The patterned paper is from the Happy Collection Patterned Paper Pad--SO fun!

I think this card turned out super fun, don't you?  It would also mail pretty well, too--NO need for bling when you have fabulous dies and papers!  I'd love to hear your opinion about this card in the comments below. :)
