MHKDesigns: August 2017 Release: Light of the World

Hello, friends!  Welcome to the August 2017 Release for the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop!  We have 5 fabulous  new sets to share this month and they cover MANY occasions!  I just know you will LOVE all the creations that my team and I have to share, as well!  Today's set is called...

And here is my card~

Once again, I used Photoshop to create the focal panel for this card. The Light of the World image was placed on top of some colored digital work and the sentiment (also from the Light of the World set) was given a yellow shadow to help it POP!

A few gold sequins and some gold glitter on the yellow "light" in the bulb add more shine and texture. I love it! What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

And now, let's talk about how to get this new set OR the entire release for FREE!  Here's what you'll need to do...

MHKDesigns: August 2017 Release - Christmas Frames

Hello, friends!  Welcome to the August 2017 Release for the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop!  We have 5 fabulous  new sets to share this month and they cover MANY occasions!  I just know you will LOVE all the creations that my team and I have to share, as well!  Today's set is called...

And here is my card~

I used Photoshop to create the focal panel for this card. The Christmas Frames image and sentiment went perfectly with some "carpet" made with paper from the Deck the Halls digital paper pack

I added some rhinestones, glitter gel pen (candle flames) and Glaze gel pen (the heart in the sentiment) as finishing touches. The focal panel was then matted and added to a card base made with paper from the Simply Seasonal digital paper pack. What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

MHKDesigns: August 2017 Challenge

Hi, all! It's time for another new challenge at MHKDesigns! The inspiration this month is fabulous--you can choose to follow it and use any type of product OR you can opt to create ANYTHING with products from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! Take a peek at the inspiration...

I chose to use Photoshop to create a fun and funky one layer card this month. I was inspired by the pattern and the colors of the photo inspiration. Check out my completed card...

This card uses the Funky Flowers digital stamp set and different Photoshop brushes. I love the way the image in white looks against the various splotches of color in the background! I also used a gradient overlay on the sentiment to tie it in with the colors of my card.

After cutting the card to the appropriate size, all I did was round the corners of the bottom of my card. I LOVE the way this turned out and have printed it in various colors to use for a quick note of encouragement! What do YOU think of it? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Thanks for stopping by, friends! Come join in the fun on the MHKDesigns blog for your chance to win some digi goodies from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! Until next time, HUGS and happy {digital} stamping, friends!

House of Cards: August 2017 Challenge

Hi, everyone! Happy August! It's time for another challenge at House of Cards, and we have a wonderful inspiration for you! This month we want you to use floral images and or this color scheme...

I was inspired by the flowers and the purple tones, but decided to throw in some green, as well. ;) Take a peek at my completed card...

This card uses a monthly stamp set from Close to My Heart for the image and sentiment. I colored them in with a variety of glitter and neon gel pens from Sakura. I added some glittery dots to the corners of the focal panel as a finishing touch.

I matted the focal panel with glitter paper, then added it to the card base. The card base has papers from the Egg-cellent Easter digital paper pack from MHKDesigns. I love all the sparkle and shine on this card! I would love to hear what you think of this card in the comments below! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you take a bit of time to come and play along with us at House of Cards.  Don't forget to stop by the other DT members' blogs for even MORE amazing inspiration--they always blow me away!  I'll be back later this month with more crafty posts!  Until then, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)
