I couldn't decide on how to create my pumpkins for this card until I saw the Fun Shapes set peeking out at me.  I decided to create some fun shaped pumpkins with some of these shapes and their dies and then adding a ribbon stem and some buttons shaped like leaves!

Good Friends...

Hello, all!  I took some time today to de-stress from school things and make a quick card.  This one is relatively CAS with a lot of shine, so photographing it was a little tricky.  I hope you can get a good feel for it--it's all black and gold. :)

Here's the card~

DDD: A Simple Scene + Wednesday Wisdom

Hi, friends!  It's Wednesday, and so that means it's time for me to post a creation using fabulous digi goodness from the Daydream Design's store!  This week I've got a card that is just a simple scene.  No sentiment, just a peaceful little trailer sitting on the grass!

Here's my card~

Products used: Bouquet of Daisies (polka dot paper), Nest To Sky Papers (cloud paper), On The Move Color Set

My "Wednesday Wisdom" this week is to just be still sometimes.  There are times when you don't need a reason to just be.  Rest is imperative to us and to our well being.  In fact, it's a commandment!

"Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death." -Exodus 31:16

Rest is so important that the Lord has commanded us to do so every seven days.  In our fast paced world, we sometimes forget that rest is necessary for us to be able to function correctly.  We need sleep, good food, relaxation to optimize our potential.  How wonderful is it to know that our Father in Heaven knows how important it is, too?  He is surely wise to tell us to take time out!  So, please do that today!  Go and rest and relax in the knowledge of our Lord's love!

Thanks for stopping by today to take a peek at my creation!  I hope you like it and I hope you go grab these digi elements from the Daydream Design's Store!  HUGS and happy {digi} stamping to you all!

Great Impressions: Bamboo Wishes

Hi, friends!  It's time for another post using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Today I have a card with a CAS feel and a powerful message.  Just a few small accents and a bright color scheme found here!  Take a look!

Here's my card~

Did you notice the "shading" on the bamboo?  I used two colors of green ink to create this fun effect!  This card is actually a motivational speech for myself.  We all need this reminder--NEVER GIVE UP.  It's very easy to do and so anytime we can remind ourselves and those around us to keep going, we should.

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at this card!  Hop over to the Great Impressions blog for more inspiration and come play along with our monthly challenge, too!  If you use stamps from Great Impressions, you'll be able to link up your creation in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

DDD: Fun Flag + Wednesday Wisdom

Hi, friends!  It's Wednesday, and so that means it's time for me to post a creation using fabulous digi goodness from the Daydream Design's store!  This week I've got a card using a fun sentiment and some other digi papers!

Here's my card~

I've been talking this month about journeying through life here on my Wednesday Wisdom posts.  This week's card is a reminder to allow for the unexpected and to embrace it when it comes!  The Lord has things prepared for us that are FAR better than anything we could plan for ourselves!  Embrace His perfect plan for you.  Abandon your imperfect plan.

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." -Jeremiah 29:11

The Lord knows what is best.  Trust Him.  His love will be able to carry you through everything and lift you when you fall.  He sees the big picture, the whole tapestry, the completed puzzle, whichever comparison is your cup of tea.  He loves you!  Never forget that!

Thanks for stopping by today to take a peek at my creation!  I hope you like it and I hope you go grab these digi elements from the Daydream Design's Store!  HUGS and happy {digi} stamping to you all!

You Inspire Me!

Hi, friends!  Whew!  First day of school was a bit crazy.  It started with an interesting doctors appointment that we won't get into and ended in a nap.  In between, I did get a lot of school work done.  Tomorrow is the first day I actually have to be IN class, so there's that.  Oh, and I made some time for a little crafty therapy!  Come and take a look!

Here's my creation~

A close up of the stamped image~
Sorry it's so dark--I couldn't show the shine when I tried
to make the white cardstock white in the photo...

For these fabulous challenges~

(Middle vertical row.)

I've used the I Love You Because and Delicate Doilies II stamp sets from Inspired By Stamping, baker's twine from my stash, Stickles in Diamond and Liquid Pearls in Silver Pearl by Ranger, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and all other supplies are from Stampin' Up!.

This card was made for a very special friend going through a very difficult time.  I didn't want it to be your ordinary "get well" or "thinking of you" card because she is very extraordinary!  I think she'll like it...I hope so, at least!

That's all for now!  Thanks for stopping by to take a peek at my creation!  I hope you are inspired to create something for these fabulous challenges!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Doodle Pantry: How've You Bean?

Okay, admit it.  You love a good pun!  ME TOO!  Puns are something that I totally fall for and adore...even little kids can understand them, so I feel they're the best humor.  Luckily for me, I get to design with some fabulous digis from Doodle Pantry that include some FABULOUS puns!  Come see my most recent punny creation...

Here's my card~

Products used: Everyday Jargon (image & sentiment), Cute Cake (paper)

HA!  How've you "bean"?  Get it?! ;)  This would be a really fun card to take to a friend with some yummy jelly beans as a treat to say hi!  You could even send the gift in the mail along with this card.  The options are endless!  I love it!

Thanks for stopping by today to see how my crafting has "bean" going!  I hope you have some fun creating today!  HUGS and happy {digi} stamping!

52CCT: August Theme Challenge

Welcome to another new challenge at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown!  This week we've got a fun theme!  The theme is MISTLETOE AND WINE.  Since I don't drink alcohol and have no images along those lines, I went with some punched leaves and pearls to create the mistletoe and then I used a deep wine red paper to incorporate that aspect of the theme.

Here's the result~

I've used a sentiment by Inspired By Stamping, twine from Paper Sweeties, pearls from Studio 120, silver glitter paper by DCWV, specialty paper from The Paper Studio, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and all other supplies are from Stampin' Up!.

Great Impressions: Buggin' Out!

Hi, friends!  It's time for another post using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Today I have a very CAS creation that is *almost* a one layer card.  But not quite.  The only stamping is the sentiment...come and take a peek!

Here's my card~

Products used: D484 Ladybug Hugs

Believe it or not, this card took me a L O N G time to figure out.  I tried a few other things with some other tiny stamps and it just didn't work out all the way.  Then I thought, I'll just add some bits, bobs, and bling!  Ta da!  I love it!  What do you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at this card!  Hop over to the Great Impressions blog for more inspiration and come play along with our monthly challenge, too!  If you use stamps from Great Impressions, you'll be able to link up your creation in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Inspired By Stamping: Altered Photo Cube

I am super excited to share my project with you today!  It uses some fabulous products from the Inspired By Stamping store and was made as a gift for an incredibly lovely friend.  I made this using a photo cube I purchased years ago and added some stamped panels, some patterned paper panels, some lovely paper flowers, a few butterflies, and lots of glitter!

I started by cutting and adhering some panels to the top, bottom, and two sides of the cube using papers from the Spring Lilacs paper pad.  The patterned paper was layered on to black glitter paper for a bit of added glitz.

Next, I turned to the front panel.  I stamped the lilac image from the Spring Lilacs set, added a sentiment from the Sweet Pea set, and finished it off with some glitter and liquid pearls.  After the panel was dried and put into the cube, a punched and layered glittery butterfly was added.

Next, I did the back panel.  A sentiment from the Everyday Greetings set is accented by a flourish and butterflies from the Spring Lilacs set.  Some glitter was added to the butterflies and a few liquid pearls were sprinkled to add a bit more texture.  After this panel was dry, I put it onto the cube and then layered another punched butterfly to keep the design consistent.

After the whole cube was assembled, I added some sheer ribbon to "tie it all together".  The same paper from the Spring Lilacs paper pad was accented by some beautiful paper flowers sent to me from my friend Cohenna in Poland.  I added some punches leaves, a bit of glitter, and another butterfly to finish it all off!

That's all for me today!  I hope you take a chance to go and grab our newest release from the store and, if you spend $50, you will get a free stamp set!  Also, come and join in the fun of our current challenge, too!  If you use products from the Inspired By Stamping store, link them up in the Customer Gallery as well!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

DDD: Fluttering By + Wednesday Wisdom

Hi, friends!  It's Wednesday, and so that means it's time for me to post a creation using fabulous digi goodness from the Daydream Design's store!  This week I've got a CAS card with a butterfly on it--my favorite!

Here's my card~

For these fabulous challenges~

Last week I talked about how my life's journey isn't what I thought it would be.  It was terribly disappointing at first.  BUT, I have to tell you, the Lord knows what is best for me, my husband, and our marriage.  The trials we have gone through have only strengthened us and made us love each other more.  I am so grateful for the Lord and His all seeing view.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." - Proverbs 3:5

Sometimes it is hard to trust that something that seems like a trial can end up being the best thing that could happen to you.  I know that when I see trials given to me (not things I bring on myself--there is a difference!) as blessings, I start to have more strength to overcome them.  Most trials I have gone through have actually been HUGE blessings to me personally.  I am grateful that the Lord knows what I need to grow and progress.

Thanks for stopping by today to take a peek at my creation!  I hope you like it and I hope you go grab these digi elements from the Daydream Design's Store!  HUGS and happy {digi} stamping to you all!
