Paper Sweeties October 2015 Inspiration Challenge

Hey, all!  It's time for another monthly challenge at Paper Sweeties, and Debbie has chosen some FABULOUS inspiration for us this month!  Check it out...

I absolutely loved the all neutral color scheme, plus all the textures.  I decided to be inspired by those things, and I made a shabby chic card--something I haven't done in a while!  Take a peek at my card...

I started by making the jar.  I used the Mason Jar stamp set and Mason Jar Sweet Cuts dies to do this.  I added some paper piecing, some white twine, and a vintage looking button.  I kept the colors all neutral--and I LOVE it!

To keep with the shabby theme, I added a doily and ribbons, along with some pearls and liquid pearl accents, underneath the jar.  I once again kept the colors all neutral.

Lastly, I added some flowers--paper and resin.  I added a few leaves for a bit of color, but still within the theme.  You can see some of the faux stitching I did on the card, too.  I used a black Glaze gel pen for a bit of shine.

After it was all put together, I added the panel to a kraft card base.  I am SUPER DUPER loving this card!  So glad I decided to try my hand at Shabby Chic style again!  I hope you like it, too--please leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

Thank you so much for stopping by to take a peek!  If you'd like to see more inspiration, join the hop and check out all the other gals' creations--you will NOT be disappointed!

Here's the hop list~

Inspired By Stamping: Festive Greetings

Hi, friends!  It is time for another release for the Inspired By Stamping store, and Joanna has some GORGEOUS sets for you this time around!  Today we are featuring the Festive Greetings set.  Take a peek at my card...

I decided to keep this card simple by just stamping three ornaments from the Festive Greetings stamp set onto a piece of white cardstock.  I added bows to the tops and heat embossed them in silver.  Sequins with liquid pear centers and some glitter finished off my festive ornaments. :)

I added some ribbon from the Christmas Ribbon Collection and sequin trim to the top of the panel as an anchor the ornaments.  I kept it bold and bright--so much fun!  I hope you like it as much as I do!  Please leave me a comment below to let me know what you think! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by, friends!  I'll be back tomorrow with another card using *NEW* stamps from Inspired By Stamping!  For more inspiration, make sure to head over to Joanna's blog for a list of those who are crafting today!  Until tomorrow, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Inspired By Stamping: Autumn Harvest

Hi, friends!  It is time for another release for the Inspired By Stamping store, and Joanna has some GORGEOUS sets for you this time around!  Today we are featuring the Autumn Harvest set.  Take a peek at my card...

I started by creating a water colored and stamped scene using the apple barrel, long branch, and two berry images from the Autumn Harvest stamp set.  I added some twine around the barrel and some dots of red and white glaze gel pen for texture to the berries.  It's hard to see, but it's there! ;)

Next, I added a sentiment from the same Autumn Harvest set.  I stamped it on a separate panel, then popped it up using dimensional foam onto the panel.  I LOVE the gorgeous font in this set!

I decided to add a little femininity to the card with a doily, some rhinestones, and a couple of pearls.  It added the perfect finishing touch! :)

I think that the orange polka dot paper I added to the kraft base, along with all the kraft matting I did, really helps bring a feeling of fall to this creation!  I LOVE it and I hope you do, too!  Please leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Great Impressions: Spider Web "Hi!"

Hi, all!  Time for me to share another creation using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Today, I'm sharing MORE of my favorite Halloween stamps with you!  Check out my card...

I LOVE the style of this web, G379 Spider Web, and how it works so well with AA23 Itsy Bitsy Spider.  It's the perfect combo for a quick, CAS Halloween card!

I used traditional Halloween colors along with black and white chevron paper for this card.  A few enamel shapes and a bit of glossy accents was all I needed to add some shine!  I super love the way this turned out!  I hope that you do, too!  Please leave me a comment below to let me know what you think! :)

That's all for me today, friends.  THANK YOU so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  I also would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge!  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Inspired By Stamping: Big Sympathy

Hi, friends!  It is time for another release for the Inspired By Stamping store, and Joanna has some GORGEOUS sets for you this time around!  Today we are featuring the Big Sympathy set.  Take a peek at my card...

I decided to use an image from the Flower of the Month: Easter Lily stamp set for this card.  I heat embossed it in gold onto dark purple cardstock.  I then added some different glimmer mists for more texture.  The shine is absolutely gorgeous, but was really hard to photograph. :)

I added a sentiment from the Big Sympathy set, some ribbon, and glitter paper.  I edged the sentiment panel with some gold washi tape to keep the metallic theme going, too.

The card base was prepped with some purple and gold patterned paper that I inked and heat embossed in gold around the edges.  I really love the way this turned out!  I hope you do, too!  Please leave me a comment below and let me know what you think!
