MHKDesigns: Fanciful Feathers Freebie!

Hi, friends!  I've got a FREEBIE for you over on the MHKDesigns blog today, so hop over there to grab it!  I thought you might want to see the panel in action, so take a peek...

The panel includes images and a sentiment from the Fanciful Feathers digital stamp set, which you can grab at the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop.  I gussied it up with some faux stitching and rhinestones...but kept it CAS!  This card will probably mail without extra postage--BONUS!

I also chose these colors so that the card could be given to a man, should the occasion present itself!  What do you think?  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

Along with this freebie, I am also sharing a sneak peek of the February release sets, available for purchase NOW!  We'll be sharing our release cards throughout the month, so hop over to the MHKDesigns blog on days that are multiples of 5 to join the fun!  Also, I hope you join us TOMORROW for a brand new challenge!  You can use the freebie panel to join us! ;)  Until next time, HUGS and happy {digital} stamping, friends! :)

Pears of Gratitude

Hello, my friends!  I hope your New Year is off to a wonderful start!  I decided to take some time to create before I start my last semester of my bachelor's program (yay!), and I've got a bold colored creation for you today!  Take a peek...

My image is from the Fruit Borders digital stamp set from MHKDesigns.  I colored it with colored pencils and matted it with some magenta glitter paper.  The sentiment if from the Tulip of Thanks digital stamp set.  I printed it onto vellum and added it across the image after creating a banner.

A punched border, a doily, and some paper from the Get Well Flowers digital paper pack helped me to finish off this card!  A few rhinestones were thrown on to add a bit of shine, as well.  I really love the way this turned out, and I hope you do, too!  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

I'm entering this card in these fabulous challenges~

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you've been inspired to create something today, and I also hope you take some time to enter something into these fabulous challenges!  Until next time, HUGS and happy {digital} stamping! :)

MHKDesigns: January 2017 Photo Inspiration Challenge

Hello, and Happy New Year to all of you!  I am SUPER excited to be back with another year of creations for MHKDesigns, and even more excited to be moving our monthly challenge to start on the 1st of the month!  Hop on over to the blog to meet the *NEW* designers for this year and link up with our challenge!  Speaking of the challenge...

Here's the inspiration~

Now, if you have items from the MHKDesigns Etsy shop, it is ALWAYS anything goes to link up.  If you haven't had a chance to grab something from the shop, just follow the inspiration to play along!  Have a peek at my take on this photo...

I used the Get Well Flowers stamp set for my image.  I printed it out on vellum, then colored it with Spectrum Noirs.  I added another vellum piece over the top of the image with the sentiment, from the Birds & Branches stamp set.  The pink paper border is from the Get Well Flowers paper pack, and the green houndstooth is from the Trick or Treat paper pack.  Isn't it fun to have versatile papers?!

My finishing touches include some faux stitching, a doily, seam binding, a button, and twine.  This card came together really easily, and I think it's so pretty!  I hope you agree with me!  I would love to hear your thoughts about this in the comments below!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you hop over to join in our monthly challenge at MHKDesigns!  There are prizes for each one, and you can use any products you'd like! :) Don't forget to leave some love with the other gals on this wonderful DT, too!

House of Cards: Add a Building and/or Color Inspiration

Happy New Year, friends!  It's time to start again at House of Cards, and this month we are asking you to add a building to your card or be inspired by our color scheme...

I decided I was inspired by both!  I did some fun sponging, water coloring, and layering of die cuts to create a winter scene.  Take a peek at my card...

I used some fun polka dot paper to create my "sky", then added a few snowflake sequins.  The mountains were sponged with dark brown ink to give a little bit of depth, and the buildings and trees were water colored.  I added some ribbon as an anchor--I LOVE that gingham!

I added a scallop border and some rhinestones below the scene to add texture and shine.  The sentiment I chose could work for Christmas or just a generic winter card!

This card totally turned out differently than I originally planned, but I LOVE it!  I hope you think it's cute, too!  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you take a bit of time to come and play along with us at House of Cards.  Don't forget to stop by the other DT members' blogs for even MORE amazing inspiration--they always blow me away!  I'll be back later this month with more crafty posts!  Until then, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)
