For these fabulous challenges~

This card seriously gave me fits and I almost gave up after about 45 minutes of trying to get the background to come out the way I wanted it to.  UGH!  It's so much easier to see things in your head than to try and put them on paper sometimes, you know?

So, anyway, I inked up a clear block with chalk inks and then spritzed some cardstock with gold glimmer mist and gently laid it on top.  I pressed all over the back of the paper and this lovely background was the result (after trying it a bajillion ways that didn't work first).  I then stamped my silhouette image (from Great Impressions) in black, dry embossed the panel, added some ribbon as an anchor, some rhinestones for a bit of glam, and voila!

Even though it took me almost a year to make, I adore this card!!!  It turned out exactly how I wanted it to and I am so glad I never gave up!

So, what will YOU create this fortnight for us?  Please come play along and say hi to the other amazing DT gals as well!  Happy stamping! :)
