Inspired By Stamping: Monochrome Friendship

Hi, all!  I'm here today with a CAS one layer card using some pretty stamps from the Inspired By Stamping online store.  I wend simple and monochromatic, with just a bit of bling!  Come and take a peek...

The image is from the Garden Seed Packets stamp set and the sentiment is from the Friends stamp set.  I stamped each element in a different brown ink, then added a few brown sequins.  Voila!

I am SO loving this fun card, and I think I might try it out using other monochrome color combos, too!  What do you think?  I'd love for you to let me know in the comments below!

Great Impressions: Monthly Challenge: Thankful Thoughts

Hi, friends!  It's time for another monthly challenge over on the Great Impressions blog!  Our theme this month is THANKFUL THOUGHTS.  Anything that expresses gratitude or thanks is fine to link up.  Come and see what I made!

I started this card by stamping the darling image, H259 Pumpkin Puppy, and the sentiment, D451 Gratitude, onto a card base.  I then colored in this darling image with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers using an autumnal palette.

I then added the main panel to a dark brown mat and added some faux stitching with a sparkly red gel pen.  I went for a criss cross stitch instead of a straight stitch to give the border some weight.

Lastly, I threw a few sequins to finish the card.  I love the gold with these fall colors and the shine is a perfect way to lighten this card up!  Voila!
