Inspired By Stamping: Summer Mini Album/Notebook

Hi, all!  I'm here today with a fun project using some wonderfully summery stamps from the Inspired By Stamping online store.  I decided that the one thing that most summers have in common is VACATION!  So, I decided to make decorate a notebook cover, but this notebook could also become a mini album very easily, as well!  Come and take a peek...

The first step for me was to stamp the island image from the Tropical Paradise stamp set.  I watercolored portions of the image.  I also added some Wink of Stella to the water for added shine.  I then added a sentiment from the Summer Fun stamp set and a few enamel dots for more color.

I then stamped the umbrella image from the Summer Fun stamp set onto some yellow polka dotted patterned paper and fussy cut it out.  This step would be easier if you had the Summer Fun cut files.  This was added to the panel with dimensional foam to add a bit of interest.

All that I had to do to finish this project was layer the panel onto the notebook!  I added a mat of pink glitter paper for more shine and color.  I think this turned out super fun!  The pages of the notebook are a bright blue, perfect for adding notes as you are on vacay, or for adding some photos, either way!  What do you think?  I'd love to hear in the comments below!

THANK YOU so much for stopping by, friends!  I hope you take some time to get crafty today, and that you grab these goodies from the Inspired By Stamping online store, too!  Don't forget to join our challenge and take a peek at the other creations today, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Inspired By Stamping: NEW Stamps + A Mother's Day Gift

Hi, friends!  I'm so excited to get to share with you a creation made using some of our BRAND SPANKIN' NEW stamps from the Inspired By Stamping store!  And today is the first day that you can purchase them--so hop over and get them FAST!

In honor of Worldwide Craft Month, we're focusing on different paper crafts each week this month at the IBS blog and this week we're sharing Mother's Day creations and/or 3D projects.  I've got both in one for you today!

My mom likes to receive my handmade cards so this year I've taken things a bit further and made a mini album inside a coordinating box!  I'm gonna brag a bit here, too, and tell you that my mother was named Kansas Mother of the Year and so this year is also extra special because of that!  I hope she'll like this special gift made just for her!

I started by decorating the top of the box with some patterned papers, punches, pearls, seam binding ribbon, and a sentiment from one of our newest sets called Mother's Day Bouquet.  It is FULL of amazing sentiments and I've used about all of them in this album, as you'll see!

Next, I moved onto the album cover.  I kept my layout similar to the box top to keep things matchy-matchy and added another fabulous sentiment from the Mother's Day Bouquet set.  The album is kept closed by some hand dies seam binding and I used the same pearls throughout this project as well.

Here's the book open with ribbon untied.  There are three sets of coordinating pages that I created.  Each page has stamps from the Mother's Day Bouquet set or the new Everyday Greetings set.  SO many fabulous sentiments to choose from!

The first set of pages are a bit brighter than the covers.  The yellow reminds me of my mom--she's always cheerful and happy!  She makes me a better person and so that's why I chose the quote from the Mother's Day Bouquet set as my "introduction" to the book if you will.  I haven't added in the pictures that will be in my mini album because I still have to decide which ones to use!

The next set of pages features the gorgeous bouquet image from the Mother's Day Bouquet set and a sentiment from the Everyday Greetings set.  I thought this sentiment was perfect for Mother's Day--I am extremely grateful for my parents and for everything my mom did for me and still does for me each day.

The final pages use two more sentiment from my newest favorite--you guessed it--Mother's Day Bouquet set!  Can't you just see the possibilities with all these amazing sentiments?!  Such a fabulously versatile set!

That's all for me today!  I hope you've been inspired by this project and that you'll hop over to the Inspired By Stamping blog for more amazing inspiration from our newest release!  If you haven't heard, there's a sale on all floral stamp sets at the IBS store AND you get a free stamp set for every $50 you purchase!  Get there quick to grab the sets I've used today and all the other fabulous floral sets there are!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!
