Digi Haven: Pumpkins

Hi.  It's me again. ;)  I've got some news...um, I've joined the fabulous DT at Digi Haven!!!  I LOVE working with digis, finding freebies is amazing, and it's only 3 more cards a month.  PLUS the ladies I work with are super sweet!  Where's the down side?!  There is none!

This fortnight, we're looking for some fabulous creations made using freebie digis with a pumpkin theme!  Please remember to link to your freebie or else you will not be following the rules. :(

Here's my card~

I just LOVE pumpkin pie, so that is the first thing I thought of when I saw that the challenge was pumpkins!  Making this card made me want to make a pie...but I made Pumpkin Pie crunch instead.  It's like pumpkin cobbler.  SO GOOD.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please come and join us this time around at Digi Haven--we love seeing your amazing creations!  Also, please take some time to say hello to the other DT girls--they've got amazing inspiration for you, too!  Happy {digi} stamping! :)

(I don't have a "blog header" so I was inspired by my blog design)

So, this was really fun to make!  And I got to use some stamps that really needed to see the light of day.  I started by scoring some lines for my colored strip, masked them off, sponged on More Mustard ink, added the Crumb Cake brocade pattern, added a sentiment with Soft Suede and Chocolate Chip, and then unmasked it.  I decided to add more score lines and a bit of bling.  Voila!  I LOVE IT!!!

Thanks for taking the time to come a take a peek!  I LOVE having you here and am so grateful for each of you!  Please come and join in these fun challenges--I LOVE seeing your creations, too!  Happy stamping! :)

(I'm getting more and more CAS by the day...)

(Only decorate 1/3 of your card.)

As you can see, I have three washi pennants and then added a simple Hero Arts sentiment and some red rhinestones for a pop of color.  My favorite thing about this card?  It could be given to anyone!   It's masculine enough to be for a guy and so I love it!!!

Thanks for coming to my blog to say hi!  Please return the gesture to the other fabulous ladies at TSOT and please join us this week!  Happy stamping! :)

Quick Hello & Goodbye...

So, I am here to apologize to the winners of my blog candy--I have been seriously ill with some sort of coughing virus caught at work (I work with special needs children) and haven't been sleeping well or doing much of anything except DT work.  I haven't had time to get the appropriate things together to send/email.  Please forgive me and know that in the very near future, you will receive your blog candy!

I am also here to apologize to all of my readers!  You'll just be getting DT posts for a while...sorry!  I'm hoping to go to the doctor and get a vaccine as I think I may have whooping cough...UGH.  I have to wait until I'm 100% healthy to get it, though.  We'll see if/when that actually happens.

Please keep reading!  I'm sure that I'll be posting something of my own choosing soon!  Happy stamping! :)

This card seriously gave me fits and I almost gave up after about 45 minutes of trying to get the background to come out the way I wanted it to.  UGH!  It's so much easier to see things in your head than to try and put them on paper sometimes, you know?

So, anyway, I inked up a clear block with chalk inks and then spritzed some cardstock with gold glimmer mist and gently laid it on top.  I pressed all over the back of the paper and this lovely background was the result (after trying it a bajillion ways that didn't work first).  I then stamped my silhouette image (from Great Impressions) in black, dry embossed the panel, added some ribbon as an anchor, some rhinestones for a bit of glam, and voila!

Even though it took me almost a year to make, I adore this card!!!  It turned out exactly how I wanted it to and I am so glad I never gave up!

So, what will YOU create this fortnight for us?  Please come play along and say hi to the other amazing DT gals as well!  Happy stamping! :)

I used some free digi images found here and created a collage on the computer.  I printed it out, colored in the parts I wanted to color in and then added a sentiment and some rhinestones.  Easy peasy!

Thanks for stopping by to say hi and to look at my card!  I love it when you do! :)  Please come and play along with us this week and take a peek at the other DT gals' inspirational pieces!  Happy stamping!!!
