TSOT: Bird Cages of Happiness

Well, I finally got to use one of the newest stamp sets that I've purchased!  It's a set from Kaiser Kraft that features bird cages, hummingbirds, and butterflies along with beautiful foliage!  It worked really well with the sketch we've got for you this week at Try Stampin' on Tuesday!

Here's the sketch~

Details~

I stamped the large bird cage/foliage image onto some patterned paper and then added green butterflies and a red bird.  The happiness sentiment seemed perfect and I love the way the patterns mesh together!

Thanks for stopping by and saying hi! I really appreciate all your kind comments!  Please come and play along with us at TSOT--and say hello to the other DT gals as they've created amazing cards!  Happy stamping! :)

I've never stamped directly on a DP before, other than for paper piecing purpose. What a fab idea, I must try that. I've got some new stamps that haven't been inked yet and that would be perfect for such a technique. Thanks for the inspiration! Your card is lovely!

I've never stamped on BG paper. The closest I've come is paper piecing an outfit. Fabulous idea Mynnette - you may have started a gear working in my brain! Gorgeous card, love the stamps! Karen x

Oh Wow Mynnette, this is gorgeous. I love how you stamped on the patterned paper. When I first looked I thought what fabulous paper and then I read how you had made it your own.

Just stunning
