CASE-ing Christmas: Embossed Ornament

Hello, all!  It's time for another challenge over at CASE-ing Christmas!  This week, we have a beautiful card by DT member Rocky from which to be inspired!  Take a look at Rocky's original card...

I loved her ornament, bow, and beautiful layout.  I also loved the gold!  These were the things that have inspired my CASE.  Come and see my creation...

I used stamps from Close to My Heart and patterned paper from DCWV to create this card.  The ribbon is from Stampin' Up! and the pearls are from my stash--bought for $1 at Michael's.  The gold embossing powder is by Stampendous!.

I had a hard time photographing the gold, but I think you can see all the shine!  I love the way this turned out, but next time I think I would emboss the ornament image and sentiment onto plain cardstock.  What do you think?  I'd love for you to let me know in a comment below!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you join our challenge this week at CASE-ing Christmas and that you leave some love with the other gals on this amazing DT, too!  HUGS and MERRY stamping to you all! :)
