Paper Sweeties August Inspiration Challenge #34 - Happy Birthday

Today is a VERY SPECIAL DAY!!!  It's the beginning of August, and the beginning of the 3rd Birthday Month at Paper Sweeties!!!  We are hopping with TONS of fun sponsors for our challenge, PLUS we have a wonderful inspiration challenge for you, too!  Take a peek...

   

Isn't it such a fabulous inspiration?!  I LOVE the soft colors and fun marshmallow flowers on the cupcakes!  Check out the card I made for the occasion...

I paper pieces some balloons and the fun cake image from the Party Time stamp set.  I then die cut them out with the Party Time Sweet Cuts dies and added some sparkle and shine with glitter, Cookie Dough sequins, Robin Egg sequins, Marshmallow sequins, and Bubblegum sequins.  A bit of Raspberry twine and Blueberry twine was also added for some fun texture.

The sentiment was made using the Happy stamp set and Happy Sweet Cuts dies.  More Robin Egg sequins, Marshmallow sequins, and Bubblegum sequins were sprinkled throughout, along with another paper pieced balloon.

Inspired By Stamping: Surprise Blog Hop!

Hi, hello, and welcome!!!  Today is a very special day--some of us from the Inspired By Stamping design team are throwing a SURPRISE blog hop for the owner--Joanna!  We're sharing cards made with the *NEWEST* release stamps.  I decided to use the Flower of the Month: Poppies stamp set for my sentiment and the Summer Baskets stamp set for my flowers...take a peek!

I used the Rock 'n' Roll technique on these fun flowers from the Summer Baskets stamp set, then added rhinestones to the center to create sunflowers or daisies--whichever you prefer!  The sentiment, from the Poppies stamp set, was stamped , punched, then layered onto the card base.

Some punches, ribbon, and glitter paper were all that I needed to finish off this card!  I think it's super cute, and I LOVE the fun, sunny feel!  What about you?  I would LOVE to hear your thoughts, so please do leave a comment below!

Inspired By Stamping July 2015 Release: Summer Baskets

Hi, friends!  I'm super excited to share a card with you today using some of the *NEWEST* stamps for the July 2015 Inspired By Stamping release!!!  Today, we are sharing creations using our *NEW* Summer Baskets stamp set.  Take a peek at my card...

I started by stamping the pot image from the *NEW* Summer Baskets stamp set.  I then stamped one of the leaves images three times to create a faux succulent.  I adore succulents--I think they are GORGEOUS!

I then stamped a sentiment from the Sun-Ripened Grapes stamp set onto vellum, then heat embossed it using sky blue powder.  I attached it to the card base using staples.  A few orange enamel dots and some twine  accent the sentiment to draw the eye to it.

I think this is super fun!  It could easily be sent to a male friend, and if you switch up the sentiment, it would make a great birthday card!  What do you think?  I'd love to hear what you think in the comments below!
