Hello, friends!  Welcome to the April 2017 Release for the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop!  I have 5 fabulous *NEW* sets to share this month--and they cover a variety of occasions!  I just know you will LOVE all the creations that my team and I have to share, as well!  Today's set is called...

Dear Dad

And here is my card~

This set is just perfect for the men in your life! The sentiments can be used for a variety of occasions and for men in all walks of life, too! I colored this image with colored pencils--doesn't he look comfy?! 

I used papers from the Very Distressing and Going Gingham in Rustics for embellishment and the card base. I kept the rest of the embellishments simple--just baker's twine and a button. Men don't usually like a fuss! So, what are your thoughts on this card? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

Inspired By Stamping: Favorite Father

Hello, friends! Thank you so much for stopping by!  Today I've got a card using some fabulous products from the Inspired By Stamping store with a monochrome color scheme and a Father's Day theme.  Take a look...

The sentiment was stamped in two shades of green using two different stamps sets--Big Wonderful and Happy Sentiments.  I then die cut the white card using the Fancy Labels 3 dies.  The dark green mat piece was also cut with the Fancy Labels 3 dies, and some washi tape was added for more texture.

I added some different patterned paper banners to the sentiment piece to add a bit more interest.  I kept them in the same color family, with a hint of tan.

I popped my created piece onto the card base using dimensional foam.  I also added some enamel stars and a fun wood veneer arrow to finish off the card.  I think this turned out great!  What about you?  I'd love to hear what you think in the comments below!

CutCardStock: Happy Father's Day Card

Hi, friends!  I am so excited to be sharing another Father's Day card today using Basis Cardstock from the CutCardStock online store.  For a complete tutorial on how to create this card, please pop over to the CutCardStock blog!  Come and take a peek at my creation...

I stamped my image and sentiment onto White Basis Cardstock using Distress Markers.  I chose a masculine color scheme and a fun tie image to go along with the Father's Day theme.  These two pieces were then matted with Dark Orange Basis Cardstock.

I added these pieces to a panel of patterned paper and Dark Orange Basis Cardstock, then added the whole thing to a card base made with Blue Basis Cardstock.  No embellishments this time, some guys just don't like that, you know? ;)

CutCardStock: Best Dad Ever

Hello, all!  I am super excited to be sharing a Father's Day card with you today using Basis Cardstock from the CutCardStock online store!  Come take a peek...

The three colors of Basis Cardstock that I used are White, Light Brown, and Olive.  The Light Brown Basis Cardstock was dry embossed and then sponged to create a faux wood panel.  The sentiment was stamped onto White Basis Cardstock and some baker's twine was added for texture.  

The card base was made with the Olive Basis Cardstock, and all that needed to be added was some patterned paper, washi tape, and enamel dots.  I think this turned out super fun!  I LOVE all the amazing texture, and I think this really looks like a perfect masculine card, which doesn't happen very often for me! ;)  What do you think?  I'd love to hear in the comments below!

Sweet Stamps: GDT + For Dad

Hi, friends! I am back with another creation as the Guest Designer at Sweet Stamps!  This time I'm using a Father's Day sentiment from the collection of their wonderful rubber cling stamps!  This week, I've been asked to create something that goes with the theme FOR DAD!

Product used: Happy Father's Day 948

I kept this card very simple because I struggle with masculine cards.  This one was super simple when utilizing this fabulous sentiment stamp!  I LOVE the fun font--perfect for any sort of vintage/retro masculine card!  I chose patterned paper that went along with that sort of theme and the only embellishments used were a smattering of black enamel dots.

Great Impressions: Father's Day

I used Crackle Accents on one of the chairs to give it an antiqued look--like a chair that has been well worn and well used and well loved!  It kinda reminds me of the chair that Frasier's dad can't get rid of. ;)

Father's Day is a wonderful time to remember our earthly fathers as well as our Heavenly Father.  We have the absolutely perfect parenting example in Him.  He loves us--no matter what.  So this Father's Day, remember this:

"I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High." ~ Psalms 82:6
