Insomniacs, UNITE!

Do you know how many times I've typed untie instead of unite?  Yeah.  It's that bad.  Okay, so even though it is 2:00 in the wee morning hours here, I am unable to sleep.  So I made a card!

Here it is~

For these fabulous challenges~

(ribbon, glitter, rhinestones, patterned paper)

As you can see, there are MANY textures going on in this card.  We've got the dry embossed black panel, the sheer black ribbon, the rough and glittery sandpaper specialty paper, the glitter on the perfume, and the texture rhinestones.  I may have gone a bit texture crazy.  The image is from A Day For Daisies and I colored it in with watercolor pens and red ink and, as it smeared, got a bit inky with it.  I then decided to add the glitter and rhinestones because all gorgeous perfume bottles have pizazz!  And then I decided to use some of my Pink Paislee vintage stamps to create more interest because apparently I do that a lot now...  Is it too much?  You can be the judge!  I really like this card!

Thanks for the fabulous challenges, all!  I hope some of you join in the fun--I want to see what you create!  Happy crafting!!! :)

Primrose Blessings & Simply Jane Framed

I've popped away for a bit to show you another couple of cards card I've made this past weekend...one using a free digital primrose image from Free Vintage Digital Stamps and can be found here!

I did some research to see how to color the delicious primroses, and found some fabulous pictures of blue ones--and it coordinated with the colors in the Frilly & Funkie inspiration picture, so I decided to go with that! :)

Here's the card (sorry for the poor photo quality)~

I hope you like it!  I had fun finally using the postcard embossing folder I bought over a month ago! ;)

And here's the second card~

This card gave me fits.  I ruined about 5 pieces of acetate trying to get my vision into fruition!  But I have to say, it was worth it!  I LOVE the way this turned out! :)   Like I said above, this card really reflects my love for Jane Austen--I'm an Austen girl through and through!  I've learned so much about life from reading her books and I think I'd love to meet her right away when I get to heaven! ;)

Don't forget that I have blog candy, and I hope you join in some of these fabulous challenges!  Happy stamping, friends! :)

Sorry for the day with out me! ;)

I've had quite an eventful week and am trying to balance all of my blogs!  BUT, I did take some time to create some cards!  I'll show just one per post, as I've used the same sketch and would like to enter them both into the sketch challenge.

Here it is~

For these fabulous challenges~

This card was really fun to make.  It's not my "usual" style, but I think it looks so pretty and elegant!  To make my doily more distressed and shimmery, I sponged it with brown ink and then glimmer misted it.  For the image panel, I stamped the rose image in a pale aqua and then stamped the sentiment over it in brown.  Some buttons, ribbon, and twine and there you have it!

Thanks for joining me today--keep a look out for the other card!  It'll be posted soon, I promise!  Happy stamping! :)

PS: Have you checked out my BLOG CANDY yet?!
