Inspired By Stamping: Masculine Valentines

Hello, all!  Who's ready for some Valentines?! :)  I'm here with two cards using beautiful products from the Inspired By Stamping store.  My cards today are Valentines for the man or boy in your life...come and see the first one...

This card started with a stamped sentiment.  This sentiment was pieced together from the Sugar & Spice stamp set and the new Big Hello stamp set.  This portion of the card was glitzed up with a glittery red heart and a few enamel dots.  I also highlighted the sentiment with clear glitter gel pen for added shine.

I then created an ombre stamped strip to put behind the focal sentiment.  This sentiment is from the Trendy Circle Sentiments stamp set.  This strip was added to a strip of light blue-green card that was punched on either end to form a border.

These two pieces were then added to the card base.  This card base was prepped with more of the same light blue-green paper and some chevron patterned paper.

Next, I decided to do a more traditionally colored card.  I kept it CAS because most men don't like a lot of fuss, you know?  Take a peek...

This one started with the brushstrokes from the Friends Forever stamp set being stamped in red.  I then heat embossed the main sentiment from the I Love You Because stamp set over the top with black glittery embossing powder.  Some washi tape and glittery hearts accent the sentiment.

I then added a bit of faux stitching using a piercing tool and a red glitter pen.  I really like this one and it has actually been sold for a special someone already!  What do you think of my masculine Valentines?  I'd love for you to leave a comment and let me know!

That's all for me today!  I'll be back soon with more crafty creations, so stay tuned!  If you have some time, hop over to the Inspired By Stamping store to grab these goodies and play along with our monthly challenge, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all! :)

Ombre Hearts

Hi, friends!  I'm back with another Valentine card that uses vellum--I'm just in that kind of mood lately! ;)  This one uses some generational stamping to create an ombre heart background, too!  Come and take a peek...

I started by heat embossing the sentiment from the Big Hello stamp set from Inspired By Stamping with silver embossing powder onto vellum.  I jazzed the vellum up with some ribbon, liquid pearls, and rhinestones.  The embossing and embellishments made it easy to add dimensional foam strategically so that the sentiment panel could be popped up on the stamped panel.

The background panel was created using a heart image from the Build a Stocking set from Inspired By Stamping.  I used generational stamping to create this and I love the way it turned out!  It's interesting to me how the color changes as you stamp off a few times!

The last step was to just add the panel to a white card base.  Voila!  I think it turned out so sweet!  What do you think?  I would love for you to leave me a comment and let me know!  :)

I'd like to enter this card into these fabulous challenges~

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my card!  I hope you like it and that you come and play along with these fun challenges!  Until next time, HUGs and happy stamping to you all! :)

Great Impressions: December Monthly Challenge

Hi, friend, and happy Sunday!  I'm back today with a card I've made for this month's challenge at Great Impressions!  We're looking for any creation that uses a stamp from the Great Impressions online store!  Come and take a gander at my card...

I started by creating a background by sponging different blues and misting it with some glimmer mist.   The blues were sponged on from lightest to darkest from bottom to top to create an ombre effect.

I then heat embossed F588 Dandelion Silhouette and A118 Blowing Seeds a few times onto the background using black glittery embossing powder.  I decided to add more shine by adding some glitter glue.  I then added some black stitched ribbon  as an anchor.

Part of B233 For Friends was stamped onto some white card and punched out with a small oval.  Another small oval punched out of black card was used to shadow the sentiment and it was added to the stitched ribbon.

The panel was then layered onto some black card and added to a card base that was layered with some blue and white polka dot patterned paper.  I think this color scheme looks so pretty together.  What do you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at my creation!  Hop over to the Great Impressions blog for more inspiration and come play along with our monthly challenge, too!  If you use stamps from Great Impressions, you'll be able to link up your creation in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

52CCT: Ombre Colors

Hi, all!  I've got a card today for 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown for our weekly challenge, which just happens to be a color challenge.  Since a few of the colors are shades of the same color, I went ombre!  I created my own "designer paper" by stamping the sentiment in different colors of ink fading up from darker to lighter...

Here's the card~

Details~

I've used a sentiment by Kaiser Kraft, a blue pearl by Want 2 Scrap, glitter paper by DCWV, a smaller snowflake punch by Martha Stewart, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!  I hope you join our challenge and that you leave some love with the other amazing gals on this DT, too!  HUGS and merry stamping, all!
