Hello, everyone! I am back today with another card for our new challenge over at MHKDesigns! We have a really pretty photo/color inspiration for you this month, and I can't wait to see what you create with it! Take a look at the inspiration...
I am TOTALLY loving this color scheme and the inspiration photo! These colors could go so many different ways--masculine, holiday, floral. Limitless possibilities! I chose to be inspired by both the colors and the photo. Take a peek at what I came up with...
I chose to use the Perfect Poppies digital stamp set from the MHKDesigns Etsy shop for this card. I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers, added liquid pearls to the centers, and put some glitter on the leaves for more texture and shine. I then fussy cut the image out to put on my card base.
The card base was prepped with some paper from the Sunflower Sampler pack, and the sentiment, also from the Perfect Poppies set, was printed onto vellum before adding it to the card. A few pearls accent the sentiment. I kept the layering simple to make the image the highlight of the card.
I decided to add some faux stitching to add a bit more interest to the card. I used Glaze gel pen for a subtle shine. You can't see it in the photo, but it helps ties in the pearls and liquid pearl flower centers. I love this card--I hope you do, too ! Please leave me a comment below to let me know what you think!
