Great Impressions: December Monthly Challenge

Hi, friend, and happy Sunday!  I'm back today with a card I've made for this month's challenge at Great Impressions!  We're looking for any creation that uses a stamp from the Great Impressions online store!  Come and take a gander at my card...

I started by creating a background by sponging different blues and misting it with some glimmer mist.   The blues were sponged on from lightest to darkest from bottom to top to create an ombre effect.

I then heat embossed F588 Dandelion Silhouette and A118 Blowing Seeds a few times onto the background using black glittery embossing powder.  I decided to add more shine by adding some glitter glue.  I then added some black stitched ribbon  as an anchor.

Part of B233 For Friends was stamped onto some white card and punched out with a small oval.  Another small oval punched out of black card was used to shadow the sentiment and it was added to the stitched ribbon.

The panel was then layered onto some black card and added to a card base that was layered with some blue and white polka dot patterned paper.  I think this color scheme looks so pretty together.  What do you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at my creation!  Hop over to the Great Impressions blog for more inspiration and come play along with our monthly challenge, too!  If you use stamps from Great Impressions, you'll be able to link up your creation in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Inspired By Stamping: Non Traditionally Colored Holidays!

Ho, ho, ho!  How's your December going?!  I hope it's been going well!  Well, I'm back today with another card using products from the Inspired By Stamping store.  This one is very CAS and could be duplicated quickly...so, you know, if you haven't started holiday cards yet...

I started by stamping the holly frame from the Festive Frames stamp set onto some white cardstock.  I then added  a sentiment from the same stamp set over it.  I popped up the sentiment for a bit more dimension.  I then added some liquid pearls as "berries" to the frame and some clear glitter gel pen to the sentiment for some shine!

I then ran the top of the stamped panel through my Sizzix purse with a dry embossing folder.  I decided to add some ribbon to help create a cleaner look between the top embossing and the bottom stamping.

I then layered the entire panel onto some more deep pink paper and layered it onto a white card base.  Voila!  TOTALLY quick and easy for your holiday crafting needs!

That's all for me today!  I hope you take a chance to go and grab our newest release from the store and, if you spend $50, you will get a free stamp set!  Also, come and join in the fun of our current challenge, too!  If you use products from the Inspired By Stamping store, link them up in the Customer Gallery as well!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Pretty Poinsettias

Hi, friends!  It's been quite some time since I've been able to get into my craft room to play along with challenges, but today I was able to do so and I am so happy!  I've got a fun and sparkly Christmas card to share with you...take a peek!

I decided to go with a traditional color scheme and add some gold for shine and sparkle.  I used stamps from STAMPlorations.  I started by stamping some texture with elements from the Holiday Artsy set, punching the pieces out, and adding sponging around the punched circles.  I then used a flower from the Eclectic Florals set as a poinsettia and added some leaves from the same set.  Gold sequins finished off the centers.

I then stamped the sentiment, found in the Holiday Artsy set, onto the deep red card stock and embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I cut it out and then punched one side to create a banner.

These elements were layered onto a card base of patterned paper and finished with some gold elastic cording.  The shine was too hard to photograph without it laying face up, so that's why this photo looks a bit different.  But I do like the final effect!  What do you think?  I'd love for you to leave me a comment to let me know!

Thank you for stopping by to take a peek at my creation!  I hope that you like what you see, that you take some time for crafting today, and that you join in the fun with the challenges I'm linking with!  You can see the list of them below.  HUGS and MERRY stamping to you all! :)

Great Impressions: Guess The Carol + Christmas Tag

Hello, blogging pals!  How's your December going?!  I hope it's off to a great start!  Speaking of great start--did you know that we are playing name the carol over on the Great Impressions blog?!  The person who can guess all of the carols correctly and leaves comments each day on the Great Impressions blog will win a prize!  So, make sure to take a peek over there and leave comments!  Now, come take a peek at my tag...

Nope, no clues.  The tag kinda speaks for itself and my carol should be totally apparent!  Now I'll tell you how I made the tag.  First, I heat embossed H190 Vintage Holly Branches in gold on white cardstock.  I then used a watercolor pen and colored the image and created a background.

I then added some glossy accents to the berries to make them seem shiny.  I added a button and some twine to the top to anchor the image to the top of the tag.  I also added a few rhinestones for some added sparkle.

Next, I head embossed C427 Seasons Greetings in gold onto some red cardstock.  I cut it into a strip and then I added it to the tag with some dimensional foam to add depth.  The red and gold look so elegant and really match this fabulous image!

I then layered these two pieces onto a red mat.  The final product looks better in real life.  The gold embossing is really hard to photograph!

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at my creation!  Hop over to the Great Impressions blog for more inspiration and to leave comments on the other tags and come play along with our monthly challenge, too!  If you use stamps from Great Impressions, you'll be able to link up your creation in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Inspired By Stamping: Christmas Gifts

You better not pout...you better not cry!  You better not shout, I'm tellin' you why!  Santa Claus is coming to town!!! Yep, he's on his way, and sometimes he needs some help for some special gifts made by hand.  I'm here with one such gift that I made using fabulous products from the Inspired By Stamping store!  It's a memory game that I made for my nieces...come take a peek!

I started by adding patterned paper to each tile.  I then added green or red paper to the back of each tile and it's opposite colored snowflake!  I added images stamped from the Build a Stocking set, the Christmas Wreath set, and the Sugar & Spice set.

I then decided to cover the box with the same papers I used on the tiles.  I also added a fun snowflake layered piece to the front and tied it all up with some ribbon.

I then decided to make a sweet little tag to add to the top of the box.  This one was made using a sentiment and image from the Sugar & Spice stamp set.  A bit of glitter and a few rhinestones finished the tag.
