And finally....

...I hop you enjoy this post! Nope. NOT a typo! I hop you enjoy this! As Easter is coming up, I've started to make some Easter cards to send out. I've got one to show you! It's my last of the 4 cards I've made for the CAS-ual Fridays Jest for the Pun of it challenge. :) I'm also entering this as my third entry into the Less is More Don't Scrap It challenge--all the papers I've used except the card base were scraps! :)

Here's the card~

Details~

So, what do you think?! I thought it turned out quite cute! I heat embossed the bunnies in clear embossing powder and sponged the green and blue over the top. Blue and pink glitter gel pens provided the bunny details. :) I hop it makes you hoppy! ;) And I promise not to be punny for a while after this post! Hoppy stamping!!! :)

Your sides may just split apart from laughter...

...okay, not really! My punny cards aren't that funny, but I hope they at least make you smile! This third and next to last one is a continuance of the theme of my second. That's right! CHOCOLATE. Mmmm....I've only used this set once, so I felt it needed to get out an play again! So, here's my third card for the CAS-ual Fridays Jest for the Pun of it challenge!!!

I call it, "NEVER a Choco-quitter!"~

Details~

So, what do you think?! Who's with me!!! Let's pledge to never quit chocolate! ;D Okay, I won't make you do that, and I'll never say never...you never know! Oh, wait! I said never! Okay, I'm really tired tonight...stay tuned for my final card--it uses very "hoppy" colors. (Did you catch the punny hint there?!)

Thanks for taking a peek at my card--I appreciate it! I have loved seeing the amazing creations you all have been making, too! :) Happy stamping!!!

Punny sweet treat...

Here's my second of four CAS-ual Friday Jest For The Pun Of It cards. :) This one is gonna be an Easter card. It uses scraps of paper and scraps of ribbon, plus the end of a pearl string that I didn't know what to do with, so it's also for the Less is More Don't Scrap It challenge!

Here it is~

Details~

I've had this chocolate bunny stamp for a few years and have only used it for one other card. Which was pre-blog days, so I'll have to make another one to show you--it'll crack you up! ;) I embossed the bunny in dark brown onto lighter brown paper and added a ribbon scrap bow--all chocolate bunnies have cute bows! :) Hope you like it--happy stamping!!!

A couple one layer cards...and a two layer card...

Posting my OLW cards really quickly--I'm so behind in posting my cards from this weekend and don't want to miss deadlines! The challenge this week is called Two by Two Plus Masking. Oh, Susan. I LOVE the way you challenge me!!! Masking is NOT my forte. I do not enjoy it. I do not enjoy cutting things out. I do it, but I do not like it!!! Okay, done with my whining...

Here's the first card I made and detail~

I made the mistake of stamping my image to mask with on thicker cardstock, hence the weird white space between the leaves. Also, the colors are too dark for my mood--I want SPRING! So, I redid the card. In a different layout and with purple and green--my favorite colors right now! ;)

Here's the second card and detail (it's two layers...I'll explain)~

Yes. Not a one layer card. Stamped the sentiment a little bit off. And even if others cannot tell, I COULD! So I covered it up with a punched out sentiment. Then I redid it as a true one layer card...

Here it is with detail~

FINALLY. Perfection! Thank you, Susan, for another challenging challenge! Love me some OLW! Happy stamping, y'all! :)

How very punny of me...

I've got four cards to share with you over the next few days. They're all so very punny, please don't die laughing! Each of them will be for the CAS-ual Fridays Jest for the Pun of It challenge. :) Since I want to enter each separately, you'll be hearing a lot about this challenge--I really hope you join in the pun, I mean FUN! :)

Here's my first card--I call it "You're HOW old?!"~

Details~

This card was made for my dad's (enter large number here) birthday this past week. ;) He's really not THAT old, but he likes puns and this card made him laugh, so it was worth the work! Each candle is stamped onto scraps of colored cardstock and cut out. The flames were also individually stamped from another stamp and then colored in with a yellow glitter gel pen before being added to the card.

Since I've also used scraps, I'd like to enter this into the Less is More Don't Scrap It challenge! I use scraps on most of my creations--I hoard all of them. It's NOT bad!!! I feel like I'm saving the earth by using it all up (says the person who's entire basement is full of scraps)! :)

Stay tuned for another post soon--you know, in about 1/2 hour. ;) Happy stamping! :)

52 CCT Embellishment Challenge #2

Hello, everyone! Are you ready for another fabulous 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown challenge?! GOOD! Jacqueline has chosen an amazing embellishment choice for you this week! We're looking for stickers and/or rub-ons!!! :)

Here's the inspiration for ya~

My first card and details~

Aren't those snowmen darling?! I got a sheet of them (and those snowflakes you see in the sponged sky) at my favorite local craft store, Scrappin' Time, for $1.29!!! I placed the snowman stickers onto white cardstock and then cut them out and popped them up. :)

Okay, second card and details~

This one was soooo easy peasy, lemon squeezy!!! Papers layered on and then the rub-on sentiment punched out and placed in the middle. PRESTO! Insta-card! ;)

So, what will YOU create this week? I cannot wait to see! I hope you head on over to take a look at what Jacqueline's created this week--she's always got amazing creations! Merry stamping!!!

Game Over

Well, hello! I have a quick card for you--it's for the Creative Card Crew challenge this week. The challenge is to create a masculine card. What's more masculine than video gaming?! Okay, hunting, guns, etc., but seriously. I found the cutest (NOT a very masculine word, is it?) set at a local craft store and had to buy it and make a card with it!!! I also purchased new Tim Holtz embossing folders, and so I used the cog one to emboss a panel. Totally masculine. ;) I stamped the controller three times and really layered them up.

Here is the card~

Details~

Inside~

My DH says it's the worst sympathy card imaginable. I told him it wasn't a sympathy card! It's a break up card. ;D Just kidding--it is what it is! What do you use this card for?! What do you think?

Thanks for taking a peek--can't wait for another fun CCC challenge! Happy stamping! :)

Let's Say Thank You!

***WARNING: PERSONAL OPINIONS ABOUND--ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK. PLEASE COMMENT IN A LOVING AND KIND WAY OR YOUR COMMENT WILL NEVER MAKE IT TO PUBLICATION. POSITIVITY IS NECESSARY!!! :)***OH, ALSO A BIT PICTURE HEAVY***

Hello! I have a "Spread the L-O-V-E" card for you tonight! But first, a few words--opinions, really, but they've helped me to live a happier life. You don't have to agree--you don't even have to read! Feel free to read or not. Just know that all comments are moderated and negative ones will not be published.

I've always felt that one of the most important things we can do is give thanks to those who help us. Have any of you ever said a "thank you" prayer to God? It's illuminating! Gratitude is VERY important to me--there is nothing that irks me more than spending my time to do something nice just to have people not appreciate it. I don't necessarily have to hear the words "thank you," but attitude is everything. And feeling entitled is the epitome of being selfish and ungrateful. Now, these are just my opinions, please don't think that I think there are NO exceptions, but I think a lot of you will agree that attitude really IS everything. We've all had those times when a card or gift that was lovingly made was unappreciated or trashed. It's the worst feeling in the world! Since we know how it feels to be unappreciated, I think it's our duty to make anyone who helps us feel the love and gratitude we have for them!

Where am I going with this? Well, I was talking to Jess, one of my "STL" followers, and she was commenting how she's loved to participate because we can lift others so much. I said that was SO true!!! BUT, I don't want people to forget about the "thank you" part of "STL"! Expressing gratitude to those we love and appreciate, or maybe not love so much but are trying and have done something nice for us or served us in some way, is CLASSY. It shows good breeding and is a way we can become better people. I think that the happiest people I know are the ones who are grateful for what they have and don't dwell on what they don't have or feel entitled. They worry about their own actions and don't allow others to dictate their behavior. (Disclaimer: like I said, there are exceptions--people in abusive relationships trying to survive are victims, not at fault. There are always certain exceptions, just not A LOT of them.)

As Eleanor Roosevelt said, "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." And as Abraham Lincoln said, "Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be." Let's take control of our lives by taking control of our attitudes! I'm trying to become a person like this! I want to be happy--who doesn't?! WHO'S WITH ME?! ;D

Okay, done with my soap box! I'm sure you came my way hoping to see something crafty! Well, like I said before, I have a special "Spread the L-O-V-E" card for you. It's to say "thank you" to someone who did me a great service this past weekend--I hope she likes it! I sent it anonymously because she and I aren't on a first name, totally know you basis. Is that an okay thing to do? I hope so! I just wanted her to know that she made a difference in someone's life--and I want the glory to go to God, not me.

Here's the card~

Details~

I would also like to enter this card into the For Your Inspiration photo challenge for this fortnight.

Here's the photo inspiration~

The FYI blog describes this scene as peaceful and tranquil. I was inspired by those words and the colors--I feel so peaceful when I am expressing gratitude and trying to be a better person! It's hard sometimes, but it is SO worth it! Thank you, ladies, for a fabulous challenge--it was truly inspirational!

I hope you all get a chance to play along with this challenge--it's so fabulous! I adore getting to see all the fabulous creations from the DT and other players! So, come on over and play with us! AND, if you feel like it, won't you join me and sign up to "Spread the L-O-V-E" this year? Happy crafting! :)
