52 CCT ANYTHING GOES Challenge #2

Hello!!! Yep, this month has 5 weeks!!! That means that this week at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown is ANYTHING GOES!!! Cards, wreaths, gift wrapping, anything!!! Can't wait to see what you create! :)

Here's my first card and details~

I created my own background paper by stamping different ornaments onto River Rock paper with Versamark ink. I made my Christmas tree with my Stampin' Up! pennant punch. :)

Here's my second card and details~

This one is a SPRING card. If you'd like to see how to make one, click here. I used some mini jingle bells as embellishments--SO fun! :)

Don't forget to visit my fabulous design teammate, Jacqueline, to see her fabulous submissions! :) Merry stamping!

It's already 11:30pm?!

Wow.  It's kinda late!  Oh, well...I'll just take a nap after work again tomorrow... ;)  Seems to be my theme this week since last week was spring break and now I'm back to the "real world."

I've got a fun set of cards to show you tonight!  As it's almost Easter, but barely spring, I went with a spring theme that could be used as Easter cards should I choose to use them that way.  I made a box to go with them (I made 5) and stamped matching envelopes as well!

Here's a peek at the set~

A better look at the card~

Other parts of the set~

So, what do you think?  Maybe I'll give it to someone I love very, very much.  Maybe I'll use it as blog candy.  Maybe I'll use it as a prize for Technique Tuesday (starting here at On a Stampage on Tuesday, April 3).  We'll see. ;)

I'd like to enter this set into the following challenges~

A Free Digi Frame

Well. You know that I don't use a bunch of digi images, but the one I've used tonight is really fun! It's a flowery frame from Bird House Stamps. And all of the images on this site are FREE!!! You should check them out--they're amazing! :)

Here's the card~

Details~

Isn't it a fun frame?! And perfect for a clean and simple card! I love the pop of bright colors along with the black! :) I heat embossed a bunch of butterflies at the bottom with clear embossing powder. I created a faux digi butterfly by stamping a butterfly from a stamp set, using a blender pen to make it look colored in instead of stamped, and outlining it with a fine black pen. Added some glitter a few rhinestones for some glimmer! :)

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Prairie Fairy Fridays~Spring Fling
Moving Along With the Times~Easter Wishes
Less is More~Take Three Challenges (I chose Week 3: Spring, Week 16: Butterflies, and Week 43: Bit of Bling)

Thanks for stopping by--happy stamping! :)

Make My Monday: Easter/Passover/Spring Celebration Card

Wow! March has flown by, hasn't it? It's our last week over at Make My Monday for our monthly theme of spring. This week we'd like to see some Easter/Passover/Spring Celebration cards! Let's all show some tolerance for others' religious preferences, please. :) Just a disclaimer--I'm really not afraid we'll get mean!

I am a Christian and so I have made a scriptural Easter card. I am so grateful for a Savior who has sacrificed His life so that I may repent and live again. Our Father in Heaven is so full of love for all of us--He gave His Only Begotten as a gift to all of us. I am eternally grateful for this gift.

Here is my card~

And details~

I hope to see a wide array of cards this week--hopefully we have a good sampling from all beliefs! And take a look at the varied samples from the MMM DT! Happy stamping! :)

52 CCT Embellishment Challenge #3

Remember last month, when I showed off some cards with disgusting amounts of rhinestones? Yeah. Today I'll show you one of my other obsessions--patterned paper! Patterned papers are a weakness of mine, and now they are the embellishment you are charged to use for this week's 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown challenge. :) Use a lot, use a little, just use SOME! :)

Here's a little inspiration from our challenge~
Now, there are a few ways I use patterned paper quite a bit--1st as a background panel, 2nd as punched out embellishments, and 3rd to paper piece line images. I use all three of these on my cards!

Here's my first card with details~

I used my favorite poinsettia pot image, and paper pieced it. Then I colored in the pieces that were too small to cut. It took awhile. But it turned out better than I though it would!

Here's my second card with details~

This one was easier--punch out some patterned papers and then add some coordinating background paper! Oh, and did you notice the dry embossed panel? The positive image from last week's dove card! :)

So, what will YOU create today?! What has Jacqueline created today?! Pop on over and see--and please play along with us! Merry stamping!

I'm also submitting these to the Christmas Stamping All Year ANYTHING GOES challenge! :)

Something a bit different...

Hello, stamping and paper crafting friends! I have something TOTALLY out of the ordinary for you today! :) I recently mentioned that I will be doing two monthly workshops starting in April--one in my home and one about 30 miles away. The one that meets 30 miles away also incorporates an ATC swap each month that I will be participating in. Next month's theme is "Retro." And that is totally NOT something I do usually.

So, what's a girl to do?! Use digi images, of course! And lots of bright patterned papers. And paper piecing! And that's exactly what I did! And then I made my ATC into a card, because I wanted to show the gals at my class how they could use it! :)

Here's the card~

The ATC portion~

More Details~

Isn't that something you don't see everyday here at On a Stampage?! I know! But I am really pleased with how it turned out! I'm entering it into a couple of challenges...

The first challenge is the Gingersnap Creations "Things that Leap" Once in a Blue Moon challenge. How does this card fit the criteria? Let me explain. Hasn't your mind LEAPED to conclusions when you don't hear from the man in your life and he was supposed to call? Especially when it's late? (See the time the clock states on my card.) And doesn't your heart LEAP when the phone finally DOES ring because you're wanting an explanation? Okay, have I clarified it well enough? I hope so! ;)

The second challenge I'm entering this into is the Creatilicious sketch challenge. All the entries look elegant and/or cute, so I hope this card is okay to enter!!!

Here's their fabulous sketch~

Thanks for stopping by today and taking a peek! I appreciate all of you taking the time to visit my little piece of blog land. I hope you've been inspired to create something out of YOUR ordinary today! Happy stamping! :)

Gingersnaps TWO Colors ONLY

Hello! I'm writing today to tell about and show you my card for the Gingersnap Creations challenge to use only TWO colors!!! It was really hard to do. But with sponging I have done it! The two colors I chose are a favorite color combo for me--purple and green!

Here's the card~

I used a technique that I saw on Vicky's blog here to create the flower, and then stamped some extra ones and popped them up for dimension. I added some heat embossing to the back purple shimmery dry embossed panel and then I sponged around it to show some depth. I also added a bunch of clear glitter gel pen. You can't really see these effects in that pic, so I'll show you some details! :)

Details~

This is also my "Spread the L-O-V-E" card for the week--I'll be giving it to a good friend I've been thinking of! :) Click the picture if you'd like to join in my blog movement! :)

So, that's about it. I've been really busy taking pics of my April DT cards and post dating the posts so that I don't forget to do them!!! ;) Hope you like what you see, and I hope you come and join us in this challenge! Happy stamping!!! :)
