Washi Tape Series: 01 Cool Birthday

Hi, friends! It is SUMMER!!! I now have too much time on my hands, as I am very used to being continually busy as a teacher. So, I can now get to blogging cards again! I've decided to try and use my stash, along with some new goodies, and I realized as I was organizing that I have A LOT of washi tape. So, I created some cards in the same layout, but with different colors, sentiments, and patterns, and I will share them over the next few days!

Here's the first card~

The blue chevron washi, stamps, black ink, and paper are all from The Stamps of Life. The bling is from Doodlebug Design, the ombre ink is from Hero Arts, and the striped washi was in my stash and I have no clue where it's from. This card was made especially for my brother, and I really love the way it turned out! I hope you do, too! Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

I'm entering this card into these fabulous challenges~

Thanks so much for stopping by today friends! I appreciate all the love you show me here on my blog, and am grateful for each of you! I hope you take some time to craft and blog today, and, if you do, please join the fun with these fabulous challenges! Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends!

Taylormadecards4u: Gone Fishing

Hello, friends! I am so excited to be here today with a Guest Design position for Taylormadecards4u! The lovely Monica Taylor invited me to use the *NEW* Gone Fishin' set and create something to share with you. Take a peek at the set...

I took the elements from this fabulous set and created two digital scrapbook pages. I used Adobe Photoshop to grab and layer elements along with photos of family members. It was SO fun to get to use this set and create something I don't usually get to create!

The first page is a gift for my mother-in-law. The photo I used is her father. I never had the privilege of meeting him because he passed before even my husband was born, but I have heard he was an amazingly kind person. The Gone Fishin' set was perfect to highlight this photo! I'll be printing this and framing it.

The second page is of my brother-in-law and niece. I'm very close to my sweet niece, and I thought this would be fun to send to her, since we live far away from each other. Again, the Gone Fishin' set was the perfect way to highlight this fun photo!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends! I hope you like what you see, and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Thank you again to Monica and Taylormadecards4u for this opportunity! I hope you hop over to the store and grab this set today! Until next time, HUGS and happy {digital} crafting, friends!

Craft Room Helpers: What Do YOU Color With?

Hi, friends! I am super excited to be joining the Craft Room Helpers this month for the "What Do YOU Color With?" video blog hop! Thank you to Janie, The Craft Princess, for inviting me!

I created my cards using clip art from Teachers Pay Teachers, which is my prize for this hop! I colored the balloon image in Adobe Photoshop, then layered the panel, printed, and added it to a card base! Take a peek...

Here is a close up of the digital panel~

My video shares not only how to color the image and create the panel, but also how to quickly recolor the panel so that you have a variety of color schemes to work with! Take a peek at the other color schemes I came up with...

Here's the video on how to create this panel!
(It's better on YouTube, if you have time!)

TRCC #5: Gorgeous Green

Hello, friends, and happy May! I hope you're looking forward to a new month--I know I am! Thank you so much to everyone who played along last month at The Rainbow Card Challenge, and here is this month's prompt...

Now, we really just want to see creations with an abundance of green. You don't have to necessarily go with the "gorgeous" theme or use the photos as your guide. Mostly monochrome, if you understand my meaning. For all the details about the "rules" (there are very few), you can see the challenge post! This post is about the card I made, so take a peek...

I wanted to keep this CAS  because I have it earmarked to mail to someone. ;) I simply tore some paper from a My Mind's Eye paper pad, added a Hero Arts sentiment that was punched and layered, then added a few hearts and rhinestones. Liquid pearls were added for a bit more texture and shine around the sentiment. All punches used are from Stampin' Up!.

I think this card turned out wonderfully, and I hope you like it, too! I would LOVE for you to let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Please come and join us this month at The Rainbow Card Challenge! I LOVE seeing what everyone creates! If you're looking for even more inspiration, you should take a peek at what the other amazingly talented gals on the design team have created, too!
