I {heart} You!

Hello, all!  I've taken a bit of time this morning to make a couple of cards for some challenges and I've got one to share with you!  This one uses the sketch from Cardabilities, the photo inspiration from The Shabby Tea Room, and the colors from Color Throwdown.  Take a peek!

I started this card by stamping the mug image from the Paper Sweeties' Handmade With Love stamp set and heat embossing it with red glittery embossing powder from Sweet Stamps.  I then die cut it out with the Handmade With Love sweet cuts, added some punched pieces, and a sentiment from the Paper Sweeties' I Love You stamp set.

After adding these elements to a card base that was jazzed up with some Basic Grey patterned paper; Stampin' Up! cardstock, doily, and punches; and a glitter gel pen from Sakura, I added some buttons from my stash along with some black rhinestones from Want 2 Scrap and some Marshmallow sequins from Paper Sweeties.

I think the final product looks super cute!  This is going to be used as a Valentine this year, sent out to a family member or given with a treat to a friend!  What do you think?  I'd love for you to leave me a comment and let me know!

That's all for me today!  I hope you like what you see and that you come and join in with the challenges I'm entering.  Be back soon with more crafty goodness!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Great Impressions: The Cows

Hi, friends, and happy Monday!  I've switched days for my weekly posts using amazing products from the Great Impressions store, and Mondays it is!  Today I have a fun card using one of our newest images...take a peek!

Aren't those cows a HOOT?!  And the sentiments crack me up!  The image is G516 Three Cute Cows and the sentiments are G515 Thank You Bubbles.  These two stamps were literally made for each other!

After stamping these two things, I masked them so I could sponge the scene around them.  I added some glitter gel pen coloring to the image for some color.  Then I added a few flowers and a crocheted butterfly to finish the scene.

That's all for me today!  I'll be back next week with another creation using stamps from the Great Impressions store!  Hop on over to the blog to join in our monthly challenge.  HUGS and happy stamping to you all! :)

Inspired By Stamping: Calendar Ideas

Hi, friends!  I'm here with a new creation using products from the Inspired By Stamping store.  Today I have an idea for a desk calendar.  Come and take a peek!

This is a desk calendar that fits into a CD case.  I bought it years ago and it has been waiting to be altered.  I used the words Pretty Planners stamp set and the Teeny Tiny Greetings set along with images from the Flowers Bloom and Spring Lilacs sets to jazz up these pre-printed calendar pages.

After fixing up all the pages, I decided to add a little something to the edge of the CD case to make it a bit more pretty.  Some crocheted lace trim from the Crocheted Trim Collection I and three flowers from a package of small mixed flowers did the trick!

I love how this turned out and I just adore how easy it was to put the whole thing together with these stamps and products!  The whole thing took less than an hour!  What a great gift idea, don't you think?  It would even mail well because it folds flat!

That's all for me today, friends!  Hop on over to the Inspired By Stamping store to grab all these products and create your own calendar today!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Great Impressions: January Challenge

Hi, friends!  It's time for another monthly challenge over at Great Impressions--our first one of the new year--and we have a fun theme for you this time around!  We're asking for you to create something with snow friends!  This could be snowmen, snow flakes, etc., we just need to see something with snow or snow friends! :)  Take a peek at what I have made for this challenge...

I started this card by stamping H159 Snow Friends and coloring it in with some glitter gel pens.  This image is totally fun and makes for a quick card--it has a sentiment built in! :)

After finishing the image and matting it, I added it to a card base.  The base had been jazzed up with some patterned paper, a doily, sequin trim, and scattered rhinestones and buttons.

The result is a fun card that could be used for any type of winter celebration--including Christmas! :)  I think it's totally cute--what do you think?  I'd love for you to leave me a comment and to let me know!

That's all for me today!  I hope you take some time to visit the Great Impressions blog and join in our monthly challenge.  I also hope you have time to leave some love with the other gals on this super talented DT as well!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

CASE-ing Christmas: Challenge #1!

Hi, friends!  I am SUPER DUPER excited today to share with you that I have started a new holiday card challenge called CASE-ing Christmas!  We will be having weekly challenges and the premise is totally easy--just CASE the card that's provided.  All the details can be found on the challenge blog. :)  Here's this week's card...

This card was made by yours truly a few years back.  I decided to use the same color scheme and a new dove image.  Take a peek at what I created with this inspiration...

This new image is from a bag of stamps I got at a consignment sale.  I colored it in with a gold glitter gel pen in areas after heat embossing it onto specialty paper.  The shine in real life is amazing and was hard to photograph.

I added this image to the card base and then decided to highlight it with some gold leaves from my stash and a cream flower from Inspired By Stamping.  More shine and texture. :)

The card base was created with glitter paper, gold elastic trim, a punched border and gold pearls.  I think that this color scheme is very elegant, don't you?

The whole card looks so sparkly and joyful--perfect for a holiday greeting!  What do you think of this card?  Leave me a comment and let me know!

That's all for me today!  I'll be back next week with another card for CASE-ing Christmas, and I hope you hop on over and join in our current challenge!  I cannot wait to see what you will create for us!  HUGS and MERRY stamping to you all!

House of Cards: Use Glitter and/or Color/Photo Inspiration

Hi, friends, and happy 2015!!!  I hope your Christmas was wonderful and that your new year will be amazing, too. :)  I'm here today with my first card of the new year for House of Cards!  This month, we'd like you to USE GLITTER &/OR USE THE COLOR/PHOTO INSPIRATION.  Here's the inspiration for you...

glittered (blues)

I'm not quite done with winter crafting just yet, so I decided to create a card that could be used any time for any reason during winter months, even for a Christmas card.  Here's my card...

I started by stamping the snowman and his winter garb from a set by Close To My Heart with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I chose to stamp on specialty paper and then paper piece the hat and scarf.  I jazzed up these two elements by adding liquid pearls by Ranger, chalk marker by Stampin' Up!, and glitter gel pen by Sakura.  I've got a video tutorial all about that on the challenge blog and HERE on my YouTube channel. :)  He was punched out and layered onto some silver glitter paper that was accented with more liquid pearls.

After the focal image was done, I turned to the sentiment.  I stamped one from Inspired By Stamping with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the same specialty paper.

I then layered these elements onto a panel of turquoise glitter paper from DCWV matted with turquoise card from Stampin' Up!.  This was matted onto a card base made with the same elements.  A few enamel dots from Freckled Fawn finished the card.

That's all for me today!  I hope you join our challenge over at House of Cards and I wish you and yours a very happy new year!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all! :)
