Make My Monday: Autumn: Stitching

I laugh.  Seriously.  This is about the fifth card I've made with faux stitching over the past few months and I have never made that many in my LIFE to this point!  LOL!!!  BUT, that is what we want to see over at Make My Monday this week.  We are looking for autumn themed projects that also use stitching--it can be real or faux.

Here's my card~

Details~

The faux stitching is around my patterned paper base.  I used stitched ribbon, as well.  I also stamped my water colored image onto the same patterned paper.  These flowers seemed like mums which always remind me of autumn!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my card!  Please do join us this week and don't forget to check out the other amazing DT creations!  Happy stamping! :)

Can't sleep...

It was a L O N G and crazy day today and I was awoken from an unplanned nap after work by my DH calling me and thinking it was part of a dream.  So I'm in a weird place of sleepy but can't sleep...so I'll blog some cards!  I've got two to show you...

CAS in design with just a bit of bling.  I used markers to color in my flowers and then stamped them onto the card.  I added a sentiment, some glimmer mist splatter, and some gems.  Voila!

Card two~

This card is also CAS in design with lots of beautiful white space.  I just adore white on white!!!  And I love embossing some of the white to add texture.  This card is for a dear friend that I am so incredibly thankful for that is going through a hard time right now.  She's wonderful!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my creations--I appreciate all the time that it takes for you to come and visit and I hope to return the favor!  Please join in these amazing challenges!  Happy stamping! :)

Feeling very vanilla...

Ever heard of something being described as "vanilla" and it being a negative thing?  Like it's common of something like that?  If you haven't, now you have!  If you have, this post is NOT gonna be "vanilla" in that sense--it's gonna be very vanilla in color!!!  I've got two cards that use some beautiful vanilla natural cardstock to show you.  Both of them are CAS in design and I love both of them! :)

Here's card one~

This card is also for Susan's Gratitude Campaign--not a challenge, just something fun to keep us in the spirit of Thanksgiving.  Not sure who the recipient of this one will be, but I'm sure it will be for a very good reason! ;)  The design is pretty straight forward--three stamped leaves, a stamped sentiment, and three pearls.  Vanilla panel popped up onto a vanilla card.  That's it!  Moving onwards...

(It's my DH's anniversary card!)

This is for my very dear husband as an anniversary card.  I made the kraft sentiment panel first and added a bit of paper piecing.  I then added some punched hearts that have either been embossed with kaleidescope embossing powder or colored in with a clear glitter gel pen.  I decorated the inside so that I don't get in trouble with Ruth for not doing the other inside... ;D

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my cards!  I LOVE having you here!  Sorry if you haven't heard as much from me the past little while.  I've been going through some personal things and am trying to use my crafting as therapy.  It's going quite well.  ;)

Also, really quickly, wanted to update you on the garage sale 1/2 price day!  I got 2 retired SU! sets for just $4.50 and a bunch of paper and 40 envelopes for $12.  So, for under $20, I got some fabulous deals!  No pictures this time, just an update! ;)

Please come and join in these fabulous challenges!  Happy stamping, friends! :)

Play time!!!

So, I have spent this day doing a bunch of administrative stuff on my blog but I have managed to schedule in some play time with my NEW STUFF and now I'm here to show you the result! :)  I've used a retired but new to ME stamp set from Stampin' Up! called Upsy Daisy and the baby wipe reinker pad technique.

Here's the result~

I made a baby wipe reinker pad using the two different colors of ink.  I chose to stamp onto natural white cardstock and then distress the edges with kraft ink so that the colors stood out more.  I stamped the flower silhouette image twice and then chose which sections to use on my card.  I adhered them with a darker yellow mat behind and then added the sentiment and some pearls.  I'm quite happy with how it turned out! :)

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my creation.  I hope you come and play along with these fabulous challenges!  Happy stamping! :)

Suprise{ish}!

So, I already contacted all my DT pals and told them that my laptop is in the shop. :-O  Seriously...I'm lost.  Luckily, my DH and I have worked to make it possible for me to blog on our old dusty desktop!  The only problem is I don't know that I'll remember how to hook everything up again if he's not here! ;)  So, anyway, I will by trying my darndest to catch up and stay on top of my DT duties!

I'm also really glad that we got this computer up and running because I made two cards that I wanted to share with you!  You'll notice that my watermark is different...part of having to use a different computer.  BUT, I think I like this new one better, so it may be a keeper!  But I digress...let's get to the goods! ;)

This card was made with my BRAND NEW stamp set--literally bought this morning!  It's by Glitz Designs and is called "French Kiss." TONS of gorgeous vintage images--it's bound to be a new favorite! ;)

This one is not as CAS as I wanted it to turn out--sorry gals at LIM!  I will work hard on a re-make.  It features a sentiment by Technique Tuesday Stamps and the leaves are dollar finds by a company I don't remember...I'm thinking Studio G or some other Studio stamp company.  Sorry! :(

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!  I appreciate you being here and commenting on my creations.  I hope you come and join in with these fabulous challenges--I LOVE seeing other people's work!  Happy stamping!!!
