Great Impressions: One Layer Mother's Day

Hi, friends!  I'm back today to share a card using some beautiful stamps from the Great Impressions online store.  Since Sunday is Mother's Day, I thought I'd share a one layer Mother's Day card today.  Take a peek...

This image I used for this card is H255 Watercolor Flowers.  I colored it with markers before stamping.  Liquid pearls were added to the centers for more texture and shine.

After coloring and stamping the image twice, I stamped my sentiment--D350 My Mother.  Some pearls were added to anchor the sentiment.  I then rounded the corners of the card, and it was done!  I hope you like it--I really do!  Please leave me a comment below to let me know what you think!

That's all for me today, friends.  THANK YOU so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  I also would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge!  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Paper Sweeties May Inspiration Challenge #30 - 'Celebrate Mom'

Hello, SWEETIES! :)  It's time for another fabulous Paper Sweeties challenge, and this month we're honoring mom!  Take a peek at the challenge inspiration that Debbie created...

Isn't that beautiful?  I LOVE it!  A shabby and pretty tea party, just for mom!  I was inspired by the polka dots, colors, and flowers.  Instead of a card, I created a pocket with tag inside.  Come and see...

The outside pocket was dolled up with a shaker made from the Tea For Two Sweet Cuts, Bubblegum sequins, Marshmallow sequins, some rhinestone flowers, and some Raspberry Baker's Twine.  The banner sentiment was created using the Hello Friend stamp set and Be Happy Sweet Cuts.

On, the inside of the pocket, there's a tag.  I used the same color scheme from the outside pocket to create the tag.  I added a little butterfly clip up top so it was more easily taken out of the pocket.

The sentiment is from the same Hello Friend stamp set I used on the front of the pocket.  This time, the sentiment was just stamped onto kraft card and then bordered with black card so it would be more visible off the background paper.

The bottom of the tag was gussied up with roses created by stamping images from the Party Time stamp set and die cutting them out with the Party Time Sweet Cuts.  I just love the way the Paper Sweeties products all coordinate!

I LOVE the way this project ended up!  I hope you do, too!  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. :)  Also, take some time to tell the other gals on this team how amazing their work is, too.  They've got fabulous inspiration for you, too!

Here's the hop list~

Shabby Mother's Day Flowers

Hi, all!  I decided to take a break from school work and design team work to create just for fun.  I have a large quantity of absolutely GORGEOUS flowers made for me by my friend, Cohenna, and I feel so bad that I haven't used them enough!  She is SO talented and SO kind to send them to me all the way from Poland!!!  Come and see what I've made with them...

See, aren't they amazing?!  They are just so big and beautiful!  BUT, to start this card, I actually created my card base.  I used patterned paper from the Bramble Rose collection from My Mind's Eye, gold and white striped washi tape from my stash (not sure the company), a doily, and some lace trim from Inspired By Stamping.

I then added some die cut leaves to the base.  The leaves were die cut from more Bramble Rose paper from My Mind's Eye using a die from Stampin' Up!. I layered on the largest flowers first, then added the little tiny yellow ones and some sequins from Paper Sweeties and pearls from Want2Scrap.

The final step was to add a sentiment.  This one was created by heat embossing letters from the Paper Sweeties' Fancy Monograms stamp set using gold embossing powder from STAMPendous! onto Candy cardstock from The Stamps of Life.  I stamped the sentiment onto the same Bramble Rose paper from which the leaves had been die cut.

After everything was glued on and layered, I just had to wait for it to dry!  I really do love the final product--I think that my mom will enjoy this card on Mother's Day!  What about you?  Do you agree?  I would love to hear what you think  in the comments below!

I'm entering this card into these fabulous challenges~

That's all for me right now!  I'll be back soon with another creation for your viewing pleasure!  Thank you so much for stopping by--I always love seeing friends pop over, old AND new!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, all! :)

Then you could make a card like this~

Some details for you~

Products used: Bird Mothers (sentiment), Everyday Jargon (image), Tulip Wreath (paper)

I used some liquid pearls for the daisy centers and some glossy accents sprinkled with glitter to make the water a bit more sparkly!  I LOVE doing this because the glitter STAYS in place.  Yes...it doesn't come off! ;)  If you don't believe me, try it yourself!  So fun!

Thank you so very much for stopping by to look at my card!  I hope it inspires you and that you join in the fun with the challenge over at The Squirrel and The Fox!  HUGS and happy {digi} stamping to you all! :)

Inspired By Stamping: NEW Stamps + A Mother's Day Gift

Hi, friends!  I'm so excited to get to share with you a creation made using some of our BRAND SPANKIN' NEW stamps from the Inspired By Stamping store!  And today is the first day that you can purchase them--so hop over and get them FAST!

In honor of Worldwide Craft Month, we're focusing on different paper crafts each week this month at the IBS blog and this week we're sharing Mother's Day creations and/or 3D projects.  I've got both in one for you today!

My mom likes to receive my handmade cards so this year I've taken things a bit further and made a mini album inside a coordinating box!  I'm gonna brag a bit here, too, and tell you that my mother was named Kansas Mother of the Year and so this year is also extra special because of that!  I hope she'll like this special gift made just for her!

I started by decorating the top of the box with some patterned papers, punches, pearls, seam binding ribbon, and a sentiment from one of our newest sets called Mother's Day Bouquet.  It is FULL of amazing sentiments and I've used about all of them in this album, as you'll see!

Next, I moved onto the album cover.  I kept my layout similar to the box top to keep things matchy-matchy and added another fabulous sentiment from the Mother's Day Bouquet set.  The album is kept closed by some hand dies seam binding and I used the same pearls throughout this project as well.

Here's the book open with ribbon untied.  There are three sets of coordinating pages that I created.  Each page has stamps from the Mother's Day Bouquet set or the new Everyday Greetings set.  SO many fabulous sentiments to choose from!

The first set of pages are a bit brighter than the covers.  The yellow reminds me of my mom--she's always cheerful and happy!  She makes me a better person and so that's why I chose the quote from the Mother's Day Bouquet set as my "introduction" to the book if you will.  I haven't added in the pictures that will be in my mini album because I still have to decide which ones to use!

The next set of pages features the gorgeous bouquet image from the Mother's Day Bouquet set and a sentiment from the Everyday Greetings set.  I thought this sentiment was perfect for Mother's Day--I am extremely grateful for my parents and for everything my mom did for me and still does for me each day.

The final pages use two more sentiment from my newest favorite--you guessed it--Mother's Day Bouquet set!  Can't you just see the possibilities with all these amazing sentiments?!  Such a fabulously versatile set!

That's all for me today!  I hope you've been inspired by this project and that you'll hop over to the Inspired By Stamping blog for more amazing inspiration from our newest release!  If you haven't heard, there's a sale on all floral stamp sets at the IBS store AND you get a free stamp set for every $50 you purchase!  Get there quick to grab the sets I've used today and all the other fabulous floral sets there are!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!
