Another little something...

Hi!  I have something a little bit different for you tonight.  I wasn't really happy with my submission for the Gingersnap Creations Border Punches challenge, and so I decided to go another route and submit another card.  I saw this card by the amazing Joan over at Stamping with a Passion! and immediately knew I needed to CASE her.  The background looks perfect to use border punches with!!!  So, I decided to make my own version using some new stamps from Pink Paislee that I purchased the other day.

Here is the card~

Details~

I used different patterned papers out of my scrap drawer, silver glass glitter and plain old school grade gold glitter, three different border punches, and a gel pen for my background panel.  To add some interest to the fabulous bee image, I highlighted two sides with a border of blue, put an office label on the right side, and then added crackle accents and rhinestones.  The flowers cascading down were an after thought--and I really like them! :)

In addition to re-entering the Gingersnap Creations Border Punches challenge, I'd also like to submit this to the Creative Belli At Least 3 Shapes challenge--I've used a bunch of shapes on this one!!! :)

So, what are your thoughts?  I really like the way it turned out!!!  I hope you've been inspired to create something new today--and won't you join in the fun at these two fabulous challenges!  Happy crafting! :)

Happy Birthday {TWO} You...

I was trying to be clever about my post title.  I don't think it worked.  I feel like it's a fail.  Oh, well!  The meaning of it is that I have 2 birthday cards to show you tonight! ;)

The first card uses a digi image from Beccy Muir that I've colored in with Stampin' Up! inks using blender pens.  Shaded with a bit darker color, as you can see!  To create a faux cross stitch feel, I ran the image through the Sizzix purse with the lattice embossing folder from SU! as well.  Then I added the glitter.  Some ribbon, pearls, glitter gel pen accents on the sentiment, and patterned papers and VOILA!  C'est fin! ;)

Here it is~

I'm entering it into these challenges~

This second card uses the black magic technique.  I also added some glass glitter, some stickles, rhinestones, and some rolled flowers made with a border punch from SU!.  They're teeny tiny, but they look so purdy, don't you think?  I also used the same border punch for the border down the side of the main black panel (look to the left).  I just love border punches!  This is the first time I made these teeny flowers, and I may write a tutorial on it for a new Technique Tuesday!  For more info on Technique Tuesday, go here.  :)

I'm entering this card into these three challenges~

Thanks for stopping by--not much more to say, so happy stamping!!! :)

Two cards...and a query.

Yes.  I have a query.  A question.  It is so very thought provoking.  Okay, not REALLY, I just want to know if you have heard of Technique Tuesday?  If not, I'd be honored to tell you about it!  Technique Tuesday is a new thing I'm doing each month here at On a Stampage.  It's a link party that may eventually have prizes in conjunction with it...just saying!  If you'd like to join me, click here for even more info on this month's technique!!!

And now, onto the two cards I have to show you today!!!  Both are CAS in nature, but one more so than the other.  I'm not sure which I like better, but both use beautifully soft spring colors and are very seasonally appropriate...for the northern hemisphere, that it. ;)

So here's the first one~

Details~

This one is the one I'm truly torn on.  I don't know if my peach color is too light, but the other peach I own looks way to orange to go with these other pastel shades.  I do like the polka dots and the pearls together, though.  I try to keep a sort of theme going on my cards sometimes... ;)  What do YOU think?

This card is for the following challenges~

CAS-ual Fridays: Name That Tune (my song is Hello Goodbye by the Beatles)

Here's the second card~

Details~

This one is more to my CAS style liking.  More white space, white one white, and my favorite glitter gel pen for highlighting portions of the image.  What do YOU think?

This cards is for~

Well, thanks so much for stopping in and looking at my cards!  Your sweet comments ALWAYS make my day--I get a bit sad when I don't have one!  I hope you play along with this month's Technique Tuesday and the other fabulous challenges I've mentioned--I LOVE seeing what everyone creates!  Happy stamping! :)

 And now for my card~

Inside~

I've used a Digi Doodle Shop image called "Spring Time Bunnies."  After coloring it in with blender pens, I crumpled the paper up, semi-flattened it, and sprayed it with gold glimmer mist.  I LOVE how it turned out!

Just a TIP for using digi images--make sure that your ink dries on your cardstock fully before coloring in your images.  Even waiting just 5 minutes after printing them makes a huge difference!!!
Don't forget to check out the other Design Team creations over at Crafty Cardmakers and don't forget to play along with the other fabulous challenges, too!  I can't wait to see what YOU create, too!  Happy stamping! :)

Make My Monday: Masculine Wheels

Before I get started, I'd like to invite each of you to come and join me the first Tuesday of each month here at On a Stampage for a technique tutorial and link party!  I'm calling it...TECHNIQUE TUESDAY!  Original, huh?! ;D

I've wanted to start something like this for a while, and now seems as good a time as any!  This monthly tutorial link up will begin tomorrow--so please come back to my little piece of blog land and participate--I LOVE seeing how others use techniques I love! :)

Now, back to the task at hand! :)

Hello, friends!  Nice of you to drop by today! :) It's a BRAND NEW month, and that means a brand new theme over at Make My Monday!!!  This month, our focus is MASCULINE.  Each weekly project will be something for a man in your life! :)  This week, we'd like to see masculine cards with wheels!

Here's my card~

Details~

I have such a hard time making masculine cards, but I was able to use some images from Pink Paislee that I hadn't used yet! :)  I used heat embossing in white for my bike image before I dry embossed the gray.

Or is it grey?  I type it both ways...but I digress!

Oh, have you noticed I've been working on that?!  But I digress AGAIN.

I added a bunch of metal findings, as rhinestones just aren't masculine, ya know?!  For "color", I added the bright blue and orange with just a hint of green.  Very manly. ;)

Okay, needless to say, it would be lovely if you played along with us this week and for the whole month!  Who knows?!  You could win a guest design team position if you play along with us for the whole month!  And don't forget to check out my amazing teammates creations!  Happy stamping! :)

Lucky You--BLOG CANDY!!! :)

Hello, friends! LUCKY YOU! I've decided to have another blog candy give away! And guess what?! It's all GREEN! That's right--I'm giving away some of my favorite things in green! :)

Here's what you'll get~

* 2 packages of green rhinestones (light and dark)
* 1 Eucalyptus Stickles
* 3 green patterned ribbons (1 yard of each)
* 1 package of green pearls (2 colors--light and dark)
* Assorted green buttons

Now, I know I'm posting this ON St. Patrick's Day, but green is an everyday kind of color, right?! I mean, what holiday CAN'T you use green with? Yes--you can use it for Valentine's day. Make a card with a green apple that says, "You're the apple of my eye." Yes--you can use it for Fourth of July--there's GRASS at bbq's--isn't there?! And aren't some fireworks green?! See! Okay, if you think of another holiday , don't tell me. That's not the point!

Here's the point--I appreciate all of you! Your kind comments really make my day and I love getting to see YOUR creations, too! So, I'm giving you a little something to say "thank you"! No follower number to reach this time--just a fun thank you! :)

So, how do you sign up to be in the drawing? EASY! Just leave me a comment on this post and add your blog to my link list--I'd like to visit you! :) If you would, I'd love to see my candy button on your blog sidebar--the one I made, not the actual photo, though. :)

Oh, and one more thing--please stay and be my crafty bloggy friend! It made me sad that I only saw some people stay around for blog candy--I appreciate all of you that stayed! :)

The link list will close on April 1, 2012, and I will be announcing the winner soon thereafter--hopefully that day or within a few more days. Y'all know I'm on here all the time, though! ;) Thanks for joining in the fun this time--happy linking! AND GOOD LUCK! ;D
