CASE-ing Christmas: Trimmings!

Hi, all!  It's time for another challenge for CASE-ing Christmas--AND WE'VE GONE TO MONTHLY CHALLENGES!  That's right!  Each month, on the 5th starting at 6:00am CST, we will start a full month challenge for you to link up your holiday creations!  This month, we are CASE-ing our lovely Steph!  Check out her GORGEOUS original card...

http://onecraftychica.blogspot.com/

Isn't that absolutely STUNNING?!  I adored the fun CAS, yet vintage, feel.  I kept the layout and the feel, but did some different colors.  Take a peek...

The trims are a mix of ribbon, crocheted trim, and some glitter paper.  The glitter paper had a beautiful snowflake print (you've seen it here before), and so I just trimmed around the print to create a fun shaped border.

The sentiment is from a fun Close To My Heart stamp set.  I punched it out and layered more punched pieces for a mat.  It was added to the card with some dimensional foam for more texture.

The last step was to add some enamel dots to the card base.  I just love the way this turned out!  I hope you like it, too!  I'd enjoy hearing your thoughts in the comments below. :)

Thank you so very much for stopping by today, friends!  That's all for me for now!  I hope you take some time to leave a bit of love with the other amazing gals on this DT--especially our NEW GALS!  When you're done being inspired, I hope you create something and link it up with our current challenge!  Until next time, HUGS and Merry Stamping! :)

Great Impressions: Buzzing Bear

Hello again, friends!  It's Monday, so that means I get to share another creation with you that uses some fabulous stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Today I'm sharing a fun card using one of the *NEWEST* images, and it is darling!  Take a peek...

I started by stamping the image, G526 Bear With Bumblebees, then coloring it with a mix of glitter gel pen and colored pencil.  Isn't he darling?!

I thought this sentiment, A147 Buzzing By, was the PERFECT one to go with the image, don't you agree?  I also shaped a paper flower, using my same color scheme, to use as an accent.

The last thing to add was the ribbon, then it was all layered onto the card base!  I think this is just so sweet, don't you?  I can't wait to read what you think in the comments below!

That's all for me today, friends.  THANK YOU so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  I also would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge!  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Great Impressions: Add A Sentiment

Welcome back, friends!  It's time for another monthly challenge at Great Impressions, and this month, our theme is "Add A Sentiment"!  Easy peasy, right?  I chose a brand new sentiment from the Great Impressions store to use as my focus today.  Take a peek...

The sentiment, E879 Feeling Down, is super fun, because it has these tiny flowers to accent it.  I decided to channel my inner Mary Engelbreit for this card, and go with a fun and bold color scheme.  No other stamping, just some paper flowers with sequin centers to accent this darling sentiment!

I am super loving how this card turned out!  CAS, but oh so fun!  I hope you like it, too!  Please leave me a comment below with your thoughts. :)

Great Impressions + Paper Sweeties: A Joint Blog Hop Celebration!

Hi, friends!  As you all know from my previous post, Great Impressions is hopping with Paper Sweeties for their 3rd Birthday Celebration this month!  There is a SUPER fabulous prompt for you to create with this month, then link your creations up on the Paper Sweeties blog!  Check out your inspiration...

I was inspired by the soft colors and fun floral shapes on top of the cupcakes.  And so, here is my card, created using fabulous stamps from the Great Impression online store!

I've used a beautiful sentiment, H257 Someone Like You, as my focal point.  I highlighted it with some pastel flowers with Cookie Dough sequin centers.

The fun banners were created by coloring E846 Flag Banner, then fussy cutting them out.  I used the colors in the challenge prompt as my inspiration. :)

I used some fun patterned paper and doily quarters to gussy up my card base before layering everything else on.  I adore this sweet card!  I hope you do, too!  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

That's all for me today, friends.  THANK YOU so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  Make sure to complete the hop at Paper Sweeties for your chance to win one of the fabulous prizes available!  I also would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge at Great Impressions!  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

World's Best Dad

Hi, friends!  I know that the first of the month is such a busy time on this blog, but I just had to share this card using new stamps from The Stamps Of Life today!  Take a peek...

This card uses the *NEW* tshirts2stamp set.  I stamped the shirt outline and sentiment in Powdered Sugar ink onto Licorice cardstock, then heat embossed it all.  I fussy cut it out and added a few enamel stars.  The patterned papers are from the Happy Collection Patterned Paper Pad.

I did throw in some enamel hearts, but they're black, so not TOO girly. :)  I layered the patterned paper panels for added interest.  I think this is so fun!  I hope you do, too!  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

I'm entering this card with these fabulous challenges~

That is all for now, friends!  Thank you SO much for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  I hope you have some time to play along with these fabulous challenges today. :)  Hop over to The Stamps of Life to grab these goodies today, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends!

House of Cards: Metallic

Hi, all!  Time for another monthly challenge at House of Cards!  This month, we've got a word cue for you--"Metallics"!  Let it inspired you however you choose. :)

I decided to try my hand at Faux Patina.  You can take a peek at my tutorial video on it HERE or at the House of Cards challenge blog.  I made a faux patina-ed base for the rest of my fun metallic embellishments.  Check it out...

I added some beautiful metallic flowers, made by my friend, Cohenna, as well as some leaves, a half doily, a punched trim, and metallic ribbons and elastic cording to the top of the card.

The bottom of the card was where I put the sentiment.  This sweet one is from the Flower of the Month: Poppies stamp set from Inspired By Stamping!  And take a closer look at the effect of the patina technique, too.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the way this turned out!  I adore this fun technique, and it is SO easy, so make sure you check out my tutorial video!  I also cannot wait to hear what you think of my creation, so please do leave a comment below!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and taking a peek at my creation. :)  I hope you come and join our current challenge at House of Cards--I always LOVE seeing what you come up with!  Don't forget to take a peek at the amazing DT work, too!  You will be INSPIRED.  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)
