CASE-ing Christmas #31

Hello, friends!  It's time for another challenge at CASE-ing Christmas!  We are CASEing the fabulous Donna this month.  Take a peek at her beautiful card...

I LOVED the idea of using patriotic colors for a holiday card, so that's the main thing I CASEd, along with the red ribbon up top! Check out my take...

I used LOTS of glittery details on my card, heat embossed the sentiment with glitter embossing powder, and even added a glittery snowflake!  I LOVE a lot of sparkle and shine on holiday card. :)

I love this card--and I LOVE the patriotic colors for holiday cards!  I think this turned out to be nice and elegant.  I hope you agree!  Please leave me a comment below to let me know what you think about my creation!

That's all for me right now, friends!  THANK YOU so much for stopping by!  I hope you come and join us at CASE-ing Christmas, and make sure to check out the inspiration from the other gals, too!

CASE-ing Christmas: Challenge #30

Dashing through the snow... I am SO excited that Christmas is getting closer and closer!  If you haven't started your holiday cards, I hope you join us at CASE-ing Christmas this month for our CASE challenge!  This month, we are CASEing the lovely Asha.  Take a peek at her card...

I LOVE the gorgeous snowy sky and lovely scene that Asha used for her card, so I decided to do something similar.  Check out my card...

I used a set from Close To My Heart to create my scene, but the sentiment is from the October 2015 Card Kit from The Stamps of Life.  I added faux snow pen, glitter, and liquid pearls after coloring with colored pencils.  I LOVE all the beautiful textures that are on this card--it looks so cool IRL!

To create a snowy sky like this, you need to start by stamping and heat embossing your snowflakes with clear embossing powder.  After you do that, and they cool, you sponge ink over them, then gently wipe the ink off of the flakes and voila!  I then added some liquid pearl dots for more shine and additional "snowflakes".

I absolutely adore the way this card turned out!  I was worried I'd mess it up, but taking it step by step helped me stay on track. ;)  I hope you like it, too--and please do leave me a comment below to tell me your thoughts!

CASE-ing Christmas: Trimmings!

Hi, all!  It's time for another challenge for CASE-ing Christmas--AND WE'VE GONE TO MONTHLY CHALLENGES!  That's right!  Each month, on the 5th starting at 6:00am CST, we will start a full month challenge for you to link up your holiday creations!  This month, we are CASE-ing our lovely Steph!  Check out her GORGEOUS original card...

http://onecraftychica.blogspot.com/

Isn't that absolutely STUNNING?!  I adored the fun CAS, yet vintage, feel.  I kept the layout and the feel, but did some different colors.  Take a peek...

The trims are a mix of ribbon, crocheted trim, and some glitter paper.  The glitter paper had a beautiful snowflake print (you've seen it here before), and so I just trimmed around the print to create a fun shaped border.

The sentiment is from a fun Close To My Heart stamp set.  I punched it out and layered more punched pieces for a mat.  It was added to the card with some dimensional foam for more texture.

The last step was to add some enamel dots to the card base.  I just love the way this turned out!  I hope you like it, too!  I'd enjoy hearing your thoughts in the comments below. :)

Thank you so very much for stopping by today, friends!  That's all for me for now!  I hope you take some time to leave a bit of love with the other amazing gals on this DT--especially our NEW GALS!  When you're done being inspired, I hope you create something and link it up with our current challenge!  Until next time, HUGS and Merry Stamping! :)

Pony CASE-Press: I CASEd Petra!

Hello, my friends!  I am SUPER DUPER UBER excited to share this card today!  I started a little thing called the Pony CASE-Press about a month ago, and my card FINALLY reached the first gal, Petra, yesterday in South Africa.  Come and see Petra's original card...

Beautiful, right?!  She is SO good with layering and floral images.  I decided to keep the layout similar, but I changed the colors and the focal image to a butterfly from Inspired By Stamping.  Take a gander at my card...

I love this swallowtail image from Inspired By Stamping.  I heat embossed it in silver onto vellum, then cut it out and layered it with some patterned paper.  A bunch of deep blue rhinestones create a flight path for the butterfly up the card.

I added a sentiment from Inspired By Stamping just below the butterfly.  This sentiment was punched out and flanked with the same deep blue rhinestones as the butterfly's flight path.

I layered a bunch of patterned papers on my card base.  I also did some faux stitching to create added texture and polish.  I used a black fine tip Sharpie for this.  More deep blue rhinestones were added in places to add cohesiveness to the design.

I love the final product and I am happy to report that Petra loved it as well!  What do you think about my card?  I'd love for you to leave me a comment to let me know your opinion!!!

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges~
