Inspired By Stamping: Cherry Blossoms

Hi, friends!  It's time for another release for Inspired By Stamping, and we have some GORGEOUS stamps to share with you in the next few days!  Today we're sharing creations made with the *NEW* Cherry Blossoms set!  Take a peek at my creation...

For this card, I heat embossed the repeated image from the *NEW* Cherry Blossoms set on watercolor card, then watercolored over and around the images to create a patterned background.  This card did not photograph/edit well, but the colors are SUPER vibrant in real life!

I stamped one of the fun sentiments from the *NEW* Cherry Blossoms set, then layered it and added it to the card on top of some cut paper banners.  A few rhinestones flank the sentiment for a bit more texture and shine, and ribbon was added to the top to anchor the paper banners.

I think the final card is super fun, springtime fresh, and something that will bring a bit of sunshine into the recipient's life, don't you? :)  I would love to hear what you think of my card in the comments below!

Thank you so much for stopping by, friends!  I'll be back tomorrow with another creation using *NEW* stamps from Inspired By Stamping!  For more inspiration, make sure to head over to Joanna's blog for a list of those who are sharing their creations today, too!  Until tomorrow, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Inspired By Stamping: Winter Mittens

Oh, the weather outside is... Finish the line--according to YOUR area of the world! ;)  I know it isn't all cold and wintry everywhere in the world, but I've got the winter blues today here on my blog--CHRISTMAS blues, that is!  Check out my card using *NEW* products from Inspired By Stamping...

I started by stamping and heat embossing a sentiment from the Festive Greetings stamp set onto white cardstock.  I sponged over it with varying shades of blue, then added some Wink of Stella for shine.

I utilized the Rock 'n' Roll technique on the mittens--also from the Festive Greetings set.  Some glitter gel pen filled in the snowflakes on the gloves, and a few navy pearls were added.  Silver glittery snowflakes fall down the patterned paper base, also dotted with navy pearls.

I love the wintry feel that I created by keeping this card monochrome, and I hope you do, TOO!  Please leave comments below to share what you're thinking with me today. :)

That's all for me today!  Make sure to hop over and grab this fabulous stamp set today to recreate my project.  Also, don't forget to join in our monthly challenge for your chance to win some goodies, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping to you all! :)

Paper Sweeties October Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi, friends!  It's time for another release at Paper Sweeties, and we've got some gorgeous CHRISTMAS inspiration for you over the next few days!  For today, I'm sharing a card that uses the emboss resist technique.  Take a peek...

This card uses a stamp from the *NEW* set called The Reason For the Season.  I LOVE that this sentiment is designed to look like a small Christmas Tree, so I decided to heat emboss it, then watercolor over it to create a tree shape.  A Cookie Dough sequin was added to the center of the star for more sparkle and shine.

I added some green grosgrain ribbon, red velvet ribbon, and gold elastic cording to tie some Rusty Jingle Bells to the bottom of my focal panel.  I LOVE these textures and colors on top of each other!

Some faux stitching and patterned paper were all that this needed to finish the card!  I really love it and hope you do, too!  Please leave me a comment below to let me know what you think! :)

That's all for me today, friends!  I'll be back tomorrow with more inspiration using *NEW* products from Paper Sweeties!  Make sure to take a peek at the inspiration from the rest of the team, too...

Here's your hop list~

CASE-ing Christmas: Challenge #30

Dashing through the snow... I am SO excited that Christmas is getting closer and closer!  If you haven't started your holiday cards, I hope you join us at CASE-ing Christmas this month for our CASE challenge!  This month, we are CASEing the lovely Asha.  Take a peek at her card...

I LOVE the gorgeous snowy sky and lovely scene that Asha used for her card, so I decided to do something similar.  Check out my card...

I used a set from Close To My Heart to create my scene, but the sentiment is from the October 2015 Card Kit from The Stamps of Life.  I added faux snow pen, glitter, and liquid pearls after coloring with colored pencils.  I LOVE all the beautiful textures that are on this card--it looks so cool IRL!

To create a snowy sky like this, you need to start by stamping and heat embossing your snowflakes with clear embossing powder.  After you do that, and they cool, you sponge ink over them, then gently wipe the ink off of the flakes and voila!  I then added some liquid pearl dots for more shine and additional "snowflakes".

I absolutely adore the way this card turned out!  I was worried I'd mess it up, but taking it step by step helped me stay on track. ;)  I hope you like it, too--and please do leave me a comment below to tell me your thoughts!

That's all for me right now, friends!  THANK YOU so much for stopping by!  I hope you come and join us at CASE-ing Christmas, and make sure to check out the inspiration from the other gals, too!

Here it is~

Here's my card~

Details~

I've used stamps by Prima, clear embossing powder by Stampendous!, a blending tool by Ranger, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.  I used the medallion stamp to create fun faux patterned paper to match the vintage feel of the image and sentiment.  I just LOVE the contrast between the more modern polka dot paper and the created pattern!

Pumpkins & Gratitude

Wow. I do NOT have a lot of time this week. Soooo...I have to combine challenges. Which I don't do a whole lot. BUT, these challenges just fit really well together, so it must be fate!

So, here are the challenges I'm submitting this card into:

These are all FABULOUS challenges, so I hope you get a chance to join us each week!

Now to the card! I knew that the colors from CR84FN screamed fall, and I'm in LOVE with a new pumpkin image that I recently bought, so I knew that I'd be doing a fall card. And fall to me means gratitude.

Hence the sentiment~

Now, I LOVE doing resist techniques, so it was appropriate to combine Wee Memories with Make My Monday. And the pumpkin needed to be embossed and then colored with a resist technique. So that's what I did!

See?~

And then I saw the JUGS sketch. And my card was put together!

Oh, you wanna see the finished product?!

Ok!

Here it is~

This is another card I'm using for the Gratitude Project. Click on the button on the top left of my blog for more info. :) Happy stamping!
