TRCC #7: Blue Breezes

Hello, friends, and happy July! I hope you're looking forward to a new month--I know I am! Thank you so much to everyone who played along last month at The Rainbow Card Challenge for our first rainbow prompt! All the creations were AMAZING! And now, here is this month's prompt...

Now, we really just want to see creations with an abundance of blue. You don't have to necessarily go with the "breezy" theme or use the photos as your guide. Mostly monochrome, if you understand my meaning. For all the details about the "rules" (there are very few), you can see the challenge post! This post is about the card I made, so take a peek...

This card was made for newest nephew--Levi! He arrived in May, and I decided he needed to know "owl" about how much he was loved! ;) I used patterned paper from My Mind's Eye, an owl stamp set from my stash (I don't know the name, sorry!), cardstock from The Stamps of Life, punches and ink from Stampin' Up!, and liquid pearls from Ranger to complete this card. The owl is indeed paper pieced!

Paper Sweeties December Release Party!

Hi again to you all, blogging friends!  I'm back with a third card for the Paper Sweeties release week!  This one is another baby card, but with a blue baby boy theme. :) Take a peek!

I started by stamping images and a sentiment from the Bundle of Joy stamp set.  I paper pieced the clothes on the clothesline with some soft blue patterned papers and added color to the socks with a glitter gel pen.  some buttons and rhinestones finished this panel.

I then added this panel to the card base that had a doily added for some fun and whimsy.  I cut this doily in half so that more would peek out from under the stamped panel.

The finished product is so cute...and could even be used for a baby girl if needed because of the more "girly" embellishments used.  But I still think it's totally appropriate for a baby boy, too!

Paper Sweeties January Release Countdown!

Hello again, all!  I'm back for round 2 of the Paper Sweeties release week.  Today I have a CAS card made using some paper piecing and one of these fabulous new sets.  Come and take a peek...

I just LOVE the images from the Bundle of Joy set and this one is no exception!  This card was super easy to do.  First step--stamp and then paper piece this darling carriage from the Bundle of Joy set.

After finishing the image, all I had to do was stamp a sentiment from the Bundle of Joy set and add some sparkly bits!  Voila!
