It's a Two-fer

Yep, I'm combining challenges on this post. I made two separate cards with the same fabulous set (mentioned first here earlier today) and so I wanted to share the versatility of it with this post!

BUT FIRST, here are the fabulous challenges I will be submitting my creations to!

Both challenges are just PERFECT for making creations with my new favorite stamp set!!!

So, without further ado, here is card #1 for JUGS (I call it Ghostly Cornucopia)~

Yeah, so I'm relatively new to baker's twine, but I have to say that I AM IN LOVE with it! So versatile and it's the perfect addition to literally any project. FAB!

Now onto card #2 for Less is More (Mustard Thoughts)~

And some details~

I created the shadowing on these images by using my Versamark pen (fine point side) and I LOVE the effect! It makes those acorns and leaves look so life-like! I decided to use a More Mustard card base because it looked so very autumnal! :)

SPLASH!

Nope, it's too cold to go swimming. I'm sitting here at the computer with a blanket thrown across my knees, a sweater on, and a warm puppy keeping my left side heated. Thank you, sweet Hundie! Have I introduced you to my dog yet?

I know! The most adorable thing EVER! ;D But I digress...a lot. This week at Play Date Cafe, they're asking for black, white, and a SPLASH of orange.


TOO FUN! I thought I was done with that after Halloween--but I am excited to pick it up again and show you my HILARIOUS card! Yes, it really is funny!!!

But first, a story. It will be short, I promise! I participated in a 24 hour crop this past weekend. I wasn't there the WHOLE time, but before I went, I popped into my favorite local craft store, Scrappin' Time, to pick up some supplies. I found some very cute stamps, and then made my way to the back clearance section, where I saw this amazing stamp set~

Isn't it too cute?! Well, I didn't buy it. I went to my crop. I stewed about that stamp set! I wanted it. What if someone else bought it?! So, I left the crop...and went and bought it. I was having what I like to call REVERSE shopper's remorse. I'm so glad I got it!!!

And it wouldn't have been possible without that fabulous stamp set!!!!! I don't think you can quite see why this is so hilarious...

Here's the details (yes, that turkey IS completely glittered)~

I call that turkey my Liberace Turkey. ;D And isn't that sentiment hilarious?! LOVE it!!!

Week 2 of Make My Monday Christmas

Welcome to another week of this month's fabulous theme--Christmas! If you'd like to play along this week, our challenge over at Make My Monday is to create a Christmas card with a clean and simple design. There's a twist, though! The SENTIMENT needs to be the main focus! Isn't that awesome?!

Okay, I am relatively new to CAS style, but I do very much enjoy it! I once again have made more than one card for this week's challenge. Well, one main card and a set of 6 mini cards. Let's take a look!

Main card~Rectangular Christmas~

I love this stamp set! This image is one of my favorites, but I rarely use it! I was excited to see the theme of this week because I knew immediately that I wanted to use it! After coloring it with markers and stamping it, I added my signature clear glitter gel pen and some little rhinestones for extra pizzazz!

Okay, now the little cards. I actually made these to give as a gift for a friend and didn't know what challenge to submit them to, so you get to see them! :)

What do you think? I think they are just darling! Each one measures 3"x3", are embellished with clear glitter gel pen ("Really?" you say! ;D), and have matching envelopes. I think the gift receiver will be thrilled--she is sweet enough to love my cards! :)

Poppy

So, I wasn't sure that I was gonna make it this week for the Simon Says Stamp photo inspiration challenge! I had too many things going through my head and none of them worked on paper.

Here's the inspiration picture~

Anyway, then I went to a 24 hour crop at a local church here in town. And brought some papers and other things to trade. And found the most amazing paper! With a single glossy poppy on it and glossy leaves and it was just beautiful! My heart became so happy it almost jumped out of my chest! :)

So, here's what I created with that super awesome paper~

Isn't that beautiful?! The photos do not do it justice. The glossy flower and leaves look wet with autumn rain. So pretty!

Loving U....

...is easy 'cause you're beautiful! Yes. I did go there. And, no. I do not apologize!!! ;) I found a new challenge to try out: Colour Create Challenge Blog!!! I'm so excited about it because this week's colors are absolutely fab! They are turquoise, deep pink, and ivory.

Beautiful?! YEP!!! So...lovin' these colors is easy! Because they create a beautiful card!!! :) Now, I've been struggling with using old supplies...I have a lot. And I need to USE them--why am I keeping them?! I bought them to use! SO, I dug through my stash to see what I could find to go with this gorgeous color scheme!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like...

Yep. How'd you guess?! CHRISTMAS!!! :) I have spent the whole day creating/putting together/engineering my holiday cards for this year. Now, I REALLY don't like making a ton of the same card, so this year, I made three different ones! All the same layout, based on the CASE I did earlier, but different.

So, I'm happy! :) 20 of each card = 60 cards done! I may need to make some more...I'll keep you posted!

Thought you'd find it funny to see how I dry my inked up card fronts as I stamp~

Yep. Hanging from pens, etc. My DH laughed and told me I was crazy--I AM!!! I'm on a stampage, duh! ;D

Yes, those little clear dot thingies ARE discolored--guess what? I LOVED that they were! Because the middle of poinsettias are yellow! SO, it works! And I was glad to use something that technically could be thrown!!! :)

I added subtly glimmer and glitz with a clear glitter gel pen (my best friend *sigh*). These are for my religious family and friends. I love the darker and more royal colors for the King of Kings' birthday card. :)

THANK YOU friends, for stopping by tonight! :) I have so many things to be grateful for--I won't go into details, but I did want to do 5 of them in this post just to put them out there. Then I'll show you my card... :)

1. MY HUSBAND--he is my everything! He is my rock, he is my best friend, he is ALWAYS there for me. I am so incredibly lucky to have him--I cannot imagine my life without him!!!
2. MY PUPPY--oh my! I don't even know where I'd be without her! She makes infertility seem like a bump in my road. She is the sweetest thing to come home to!
3. MY HEALTH/MODERN TECHNOLOGY--I'm so grateful for the regularity that Metformin has brought to my PCOS filled life. SO much better! Anyone who knows what I'm talking about probably agrees!
4. MY BLOG FRIENDS--you truly lift me up and bring joy to my life!!! When I feel like there is nobody out there who cares, I can turn on my computer, log in to Blogger, and I immediately get positive feedback that I MATTER. And you'll never know how much I appreciate that!
5. MY FAITH--I am so blessed to be able to have the Lord, Jesus Christ, as my personal Savior. I am nothing without Him!

Okay, so there are my 5 for today--I HAD to post them!!! Now, why am I giving thanks? Well, yes, Thanksgiving is coming up, but I also found a new challenge that I would like to participate in--Creative Card Crew! This weeks challenge is THANKFUL. :) I am also submitting this to Truly Scrumptious--BINGO challenge. I chose embossing, buttons, and ribbon. :)
