Lots of techniques going on here...

Hi again, friends!  Before I get started, I'd like to turn your attention to the top of this blog.  See those tabs up there?  I recently added a new one!  FOR SALE.  That's right.  I'm attempting to sell some of my stamps that need a home that will use them more than I will.  So please take a peek! :)

Also, I've deleted the tabs that took you to my other blogs.  Instead, I have a list on the sidebar to them.  Still available and easy to click, just not taking up a bunch of space at the top of my blog! :)

Anyway, I made a set of cards last night while trying out some new to me techniques.  I LOVE the way this set of cards turned out!

(Add 3 tiny embellies to your creation.)

I've used a dry embossing folder by Sizzix, a white crayon, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.  I've used the crayon resist technique as well as a technique where you use your die cuts to create a frame.  Perhaps video tutorials will pop up in the near future for these techniques. :)

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek at my creations!  I hope that you've been inspired to try something new today and to perhaps play along with these fabulous challenges!  HUGS and happy stamping friends! :)

Neon

Still wide away.  Will go to bed after this post, I promise.  I won't bug you anymore tonight.  Okay, so something totally different from what I posted a little bit ago.  Here is a fabulously sparkly and neon card that kind of just came together and worked.  It's so BRIGHT!!!

Here it is~

I've used glitter paper by Colorbok, patterned papers by Recollections, Gelatos by Faber Castelle, a sentiment by Papertrey Ink, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.  I actually used the Gelatos to stamp my image and then ran one over the edges of the image panel.  LOVE the way it looks!

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!  I hope you like what you see and that you are now inspired to join in the fun at these amazing challenges!  HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Insomnia and other fun things

Hi, friends!  Well, it wouldn't be the summer without me staying up at all hours of the night to craft.  I've tried going to bed on time (about 10:00pm) the past week and I've had the worst insomnia.  Up every few hours, etc., and the awful thunder storms last night and this morning were making it even worse.  So, I took a nap this afternoon.  Which was bad.  Because now it's 12:30 am and I'm still up!  BUT, I made some fabulous crafty items!

I'll share these creations in a few posts so I don't get too picture heavy.  For this post, I've got an altered wood box that I've had lying around in my craft area for years.  Like 6 years to be exact.  Yeah...oh, and I've actually taken shots of details on this again because I'm really happy with the way it turned out!  I'll go back to my "one picture" rule tomorrow...it's okay to bend rules sometimes, right?! :)

Craft Room Challenges: Use Your Scraps

I used a new to me technique to create the text pages.  I'll be doing a video tutorial on how to make them later on so you'll have to pop back to see it!  I used stamps from the Ladies Journal line of Graphic 45, rhinestone swirls by Prima, book pages from a junk book purchased at a library sale long ago, pearls from my stash, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek!  I hope you like what you see and that you've been inspired to join in the fun at these fabulous challenges!  HUGS and happy crafting, friends! :)

A small change and three cards

Hi, friends!  Since I'm a little bit busy with things at the moment, I've decided to scale back on how many pictures I show of each card.  The new number is one.  I will only show one picture of each card.  Oh, and a picture of any insides that are crafted, too.  This way, I won't spend my whole day editing photos!  With that said, I've got 3 cards to share with you!

Card 1~

For these fabulous challenges~

(I've paper pieced the banana peel.)

I've used a stamp image by Fiskars Fresh Fruit set, a sentiment by Hero Arts, patterned paper by K & Company, liquid pearls by Ranger, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.

Card 2~

For these fabulous challenges~

I used an OLD stamp set by Stampin' Up! for my flower images, a scattering of rhinestones by Studio G that had been forgotten in my stash, ribbon also found at the bottom of my ribbon basket, a sentiment by Hero Arts, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.

Card 3~

I've used the Washi Tape set by Inspired By Stamping, a sentiment by Hero Arts, rhinestones, brads, and vellum from my stash, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.  This card is going to be going to Operation Write Home.  I've decided that I need to make at least 5 cards a week and write them to our heroes overseas.  Hopefully I get a box done by the end of the year!

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!  Hopefully I'll get to share oodles of cards now I've revamped my photo requirements for myself! ;)  I hope you join in the fun at these fun challenges, too!  HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

An artsy Thank You

I just wanted to publicly thank the DTs at Technique Time Tuesday and Inkspirational for the fun birthday blog hops they put on for my birthday last week!  I made this card that night, but I haven't had the chance to post it until now!

Here's the card~

Details~

It's a one layer card using some paint and stamps by Hero Arts, Close to My Heart, and an alphabet set from I can't remember where.  Liquid pearls by Ranger and all other supplies by Stampin' Up!.

Thanks again, ladies!  It was so nice to not only see the fabulous cards you made, but also receive some of them in the mail!  Nobody has ever done anything that nice for me before and I will always remember it!  HUGS and happy stamping! :)

With this fabulous prize~

One lucky winner will get
ALL of these amazing goodies!

So, what's this week's challenge?  Well, since it's the third week, we've got a fabulous sketch inkspiration for you to play around with.  It's CAS by nature, but you could totally play it up and make it anything you want to!

Here it is~

Here's my card~

Details~

I used an image by Prima, large rhinestones by Studio 112, and the paper, ink, and punches are by Stampin' Up!.  I decided to forget the sentiment and just focus on the "image" part of the sketch.  I think this is so fun and am thinking about using it for a birthday card with "Queen for the Day" on the inside! :)  I'd like to enter it in this week's CAS-ology Challenge: Royal.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!  I'm glad you did and I hope you've been inspired to join us this week for our sketch challenge!  I also hope you take some time to go and visit all the lovely ladies on my DT and leave them love as well--they're so talented and have amazing work to share with you!  HUGS and happy stamping! :)
