Let us try once more...

...shall we?  I have another card for this week's LIM challenge--to use 3 shades of green.  This one is more up to par with what I had envisioned.  I got to use a brand spankin' new dry embossing folder, purchased this afternoon.  And butterflies!  I forgot I had this butterfly Embosslits die.  I know.  HOW?!  This is the first time I've used it!  I'll be back tomorrow with another card that uses up the rest of the green butterflies...but onto the card!

Here it is~

This is also my weekly "Spread the L-O-V-E" card, for a family who's father had a heart attack a few days ago and had heart surgery today.  Scary.  What else can you do but pray?!

Won't you join me in Spreading the L-O-V-E?  Click here to sign up!!! :)

Thanks for all the well wishes.  My week hasn't really gotten all that better.  I think it's just grief.  You know how when someone you know passes away and it brings back all the loss you've had?  I've had a lot of loss...probably not as much as some, but quite a bit.  And it's a bit of a downer at times.  Hopefully I will be back to my "happy" self soon...Happy stamping! :)

Make My Monday: Vintage

It's week two of our MASCULINE month at Make My Monday! :)  This week we'd like to see a masculine card in the vintage style!

Here's my card~

Details~

This one was so very fun to make!  I got to use a rarely used Father's day stamp that is from Inkadinkadoo and some images from the Daily Junque line from Pink Paislee.  I used a bunch of dry embossing using Tim Holtz folders and went with a brown monochromatic scheme.  I don't know why, but each time I hear vintage, I think of brown!  Sponged edges, metallic brads, and a heat embossed panel finished off my vintage look.

We are very fortunate to be sponsored by the fabulous Marianne Designs, who have provided an amazing bundle of goodies as a prize.

I hope you pop on over and join us!  I love seeing what all of you create--and don't forget to get more inspiration by visiting my fabulous design team members! :) Happy stamping!!!

A ton of cards...but not many GOOD ones...

Yes.  I've killed trees this week.  Many, many sad and frightened trees.  I'll show you all my mistakes today and we'll see if you like anything I've created.  UGH.  I promise to show you something beautiful tomorrow, as it IS Easter Sunday and our Lord deserves the best.

I've made quite a few cards for the OLW challenge this week--the challenge is to make a one layer card without a sentiment.  I made about 6, but only kept 4.  I'll show you the good, the bad, and the ugly (all according to my opinion).  I promise not to judge you if you think what I think is bad or ugly to be good.

Let's start with ugly~

Bad~

Good~

Yeah.  Not my best work.  Gonna try harder to make Susan and Jennifer proud next week...

But let's now look at a card that I really am happy with.  This one is for the Colour Create Challenge: dark purple, bright green, and cream.  My DH says it's one of my best.  I love him!

Here's the card~

52 CCT Sketch Challenge #4

Hello! It's a new month and so we've got a new round of challenge for you over at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown!!! It's Jacqueline's month and she's got a fabulous sketch for ya this week!!!

Here it is~

Isn't it fabulous?! I LOVE it--and please feel free to rotate it and use different shapes...just keep the layout the same! :)

Here's my first card and details~

I LOVE this heart image and so I try to use it for every holiday...but I usually just use it for Valentine's day and Christmas. But isn't it gorgeous?! I added a heart related sentiment on the inside so that the image really fits the category. ;)

Here's my second card and details~

This one was fun to make--I started with some non-traditional papers from my scrap drawer and flew with it! :)

I hope that you like what you see!!! I also hope that you play along with us--I just love seeing everyone's creations each week! And don't forget to stop by Jacqueline's blog for more inspiration! Merry stamping! :)
