Daydream Designs: Thankful Heart + Wednesday Wisdom

Welcome, dear friends!  I'm back again today with another creation that uses more amazing digital elements from the Daydream Designs store.  It's another autumnal themed card with a scriptural sentiment.  Take a peek!

This beautiful pre-colored digital image and sentiment are both from the glorious God's Bountiful Love set.  I just adore the shading and beautiful autumnal colors!

I added three kraft colored banners to accent my main panel and some heart rhinestones to mirror part of the scripture sentiment from the God's Bountiful Love set.  I also added some glitter glue around the main image and then it was all layered onto a patterned paper base.

This verse is a good reminder for me.  Sometimes life gets hard and people do not treat us as kindly as we would like them to treat us.  Sometimes things happen that are not what we had planned.  And sometimes life is truly just horrible.  BUT, all things lead us to realize that our Father knows best.  We should praise His name in both the sunshine and the rain.  With all our hearts.  No less.

That's all for me today, friends!  I hope you go and grab these fabulous digi elements and take some time to browse the rest of the store!  HUGS, grateful blessings, and happy {digi} stamping to you!

DDD: Happy Spring + Wednesday Wisdom

Hello again, dear friends!  Welcome to another weekly post for me for Diane's Daydream Designs!  This week, I've created a springtime card because it is about time for spring to spring! ;)  I've used images and digital paper from the Bitty Baby Girl Vintage set to create this one--I LOVE using my supplies for a myriad of different occasions, don't you?

Here's my card~

Details~
This card makes me think of all the gorgeous creations that God has made for us.  It reminds me of the hymn, "All Things Bright and Beautiful."  The chorus goes like this (please feel free to sing with me!),

"All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all."

I think of my sweet fur baby and all the tough times she's helped my through while struggling with infertility and I know that God has given us so many creations to bless our lives!  How can you not see God in everything around us?  He is truly the Creator and the most amazing giver of gifts!

Thanks for stopping by to look at my creation today!  I hope you take some time today to remember all the beautiful gifts that God has given you--no matter how "small" they may seem.  I also hope that you are able to feel God's love for you today and always--it never changes.  HUGS and happy stamping, friends!

DDD: Christmas Wreath + Wednesday Wisdom

Hello again, dear friends!  Welcome to another weekly post for me for Diane's Daydream Designs!  This week, I've got a CAS Christmas card to share with you using a GORGEOUS wreath from the Deck the Halls Color Set.  There are a ton of amazing images in this set, I just know that those of you who make holiday cards year round will NEED this one!

Here's my card~

Detail~

This card makes me reflect on all the wonderful verses in Isaiah about the Savior.  I'm sure you'll all join me in singing as you read Isaiah 9:6,

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

I love thinking of all the names given to Christ throughout His time here on the earth and even before and after.  His gift is Wonderful.  He can be our Counsellor at times when we need guidance or solace or healing.  He is mighty, everlasting, and eternally The Prince of Peace.  It is Him that I strive to emanate as I go about my daily life and His example that I try to follow in every situation.  I am so grateful for my Savior and His Atonement that makes it possible for me to repent and return to live with God.

Thanks for stopping by to look at my creation today!  I hope you take some time today to think on the names of our Savior and to utilize the gifts He gives us to better your life.  I also hope that you are able to feel God's love for you today and always--it never changes.  HUGS and happy stamping, friends!

DDD: Irish Blessing + Wednesday Wisdom

Hello again, dear friends!  Welcome to another weekly post for me for Diane's Daydream Designs!  This week, I've got a green creation for you--it's getting to be that time of year when leprechauns come out of the wood work, you know! ;)  I've used the Irish Blessings Sentiments set to create my card for this week.  Come and take a peek!

Here's my card~

Detail~

This card made me think of all the people that have blessed my life.  They have always blessed me by serving me.  Thinking of service reminds me of one of my all time favorite verses from The Book of Mormon.  In Mosiah 2:17, King Benjamin tells his people,

"And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God."

Each time we serve someone that is close to us, or even someone not close to us, we are literally becoming God's hands here on the earth and the service we perform for our fellow men is the same as if we were serving God Himself.  What a wonderful opportunity we have to show our love for God by serving each other!

Thanks for stopping by to look at my creation today!  I hope you take some time today to serve someone--even if it is just by giving a simple smile!  I also hope that you are able to feel God's love for you today and always--it never changes.  HUGS and happy stamping, friends!

Diane's Daydream Designs: Sweet Birdies + Wednesday Wisdom

Hi, friends!  I know that most of you know that I was asked to be on the design team for Diane's Daydream Designs, but for those of you that didn't...now you do! ;)  I feel SO blessed to get to be on this team with such an amazing array of women who are passionate about their work and about God.  I haven't worked with a lot of digis for a while, but these are ones that I will use for YEARS--they are amazing!

That said, I've got a sweet, or should I say TWEET, card to share with you today that uses an image from the Nest to Sky color digi set and some fabulous paper from the Nest to Sky digi paper set.

Here's my card~

Details~

For these fabulous challenges~

(Three flower sequins)

I fussy cut some of the clouds from a portion of the patterned paper that was "waste" to create a more 3D scene and then added some glitter to them to make them POP.  I also added some little flower sequins to the trees to make the card a bit more springtime fresh!  Liquid pearls gave the centers their yellow color and helps to adhere the sequins even more securely to the card stock.

These weekly DDD posts are going to become a way for me to share some of my favorite scriptures with my followers.  I'm going to call this portion "Wednesday Wisdom."  This sweet image reminds me of the following verse from Psalms 124:7,

"Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped."

God has given us a way to escape from the snares of sin that beset us each day of our life.  It is through His Son, our Savior.  Through the Atonement of Christ, we can repent and feel as free as a bird in the sky, soaring above the sin of the world.  Isn't that a wonderful gift?!

Thanks for stopping by to look at my creation today!  I LOVE the way it turned out and I hope you do, too!  I also hope that you are able to feel God's love for you today and always--it never changes.  HUGS and happy stamping, friends!
