Paper Sweeties July 2017 New Release Party!

Hi, friends! It's time for another release at Paper Sweeties, and we have some super sweet products to share with you this month! Today I'm sharing a fun shaker card using the *NEW* Scallop Rectangle Sweet Cut dies. Take a peek...

I started by creating the shaker element using the *NEW* Scallop Rectangles Sweet Cut dies. I then added a sentiment from the *NEW* Kindness Matters stamp set. Some Marshmallow and Sugar sequins make up part of the shaker filling! SO fun!

Finishing touches include some ribbon, shaped rhinestones, and dry embossing. I wanted to keep it elegant and easy to mail, and I think I achieved my goal! What do you think? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you hop over to the Paper Sweeties store and grab these goodies in a couple of days!  For more inspiration, make sure to check out what the other DT gals have made this month!

Here's the list~

And Here's What's New!

Until tomorrow, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

House of Cards: LOVE!

Hello, all!  It's the first of the month--a busy time here on my blog--and I'm sharing my card for this month's challenge over at House of Cards!  We're starting to add "cue words" to our challenge repertoire and this month our first cue is...

You can be inspired by the word however you like!  I took the word literally and used it as my sentiment!  I also decided to go for a shaker card, since they are so fun!  Take a peek at my creation...

I started by creating the shaker portion of the card.  If you've never made one, they are actually quite simple.  Just punch or die cut your shape out of the top portion of the shaker panel (the silver glitter paper on my card), glue acetate to the back of it, add a solid line of dimensional foam around the window shape, add your filling (I used sequins), then add the back portion of the panel (the patterned paper portion with the sentiment on it on my card).  Then you jazz it up!  I used some punched leaves, a small paper flower, and some hot pink pearls.

Before you add your shaker to the card base, jazz that up, too.  I used a punched border, some ribbon, some patterned paper, and some more hot pink pearls to cute-ify (yes, it's now a word) my card base...

I have to say, I LOVE my completed card!  I think it's really pretty and I like how it turned out!  It's destined for a very special someone this Valentine's Day season. :)  What do you think?  I'd love to hear your opinion, so please leave me a comment below!

That's all for now!  I'll be back another time for some more fun and crafty things to share with you all.  Thanks for stopping by--I hope you come and play along with us at House of Cards, too!  HUGS and happy stamping, all!

Technique Time Tuesday: Caught In Crystal

Hiya!  How's your month going so far?  I hope it's off to an amazing start! :)  Since it's the first Tuesday of the month, it's time for a new technique challenge at Technique Time Tuesday!  This month we're doing a little CAUGHT IN CRYSTAL action!

Here's the tag I made~

Detail~

I've used Glossy Accents by Ranger and Sparkling Diamonds glitter for the effect, Staz-on ink to stamp my silhouette image onto the acetate, and all other supplies used are by Stampin' Up!.

I hope you hop over to the TTT blog to check out my video tutorial on how to create this effect--it is SO easy and amazing, I was blown away when I first tried it!  Don't forget to leave some love with the other gals on this talented DT, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

MMM-Things With Wings Continued!

Okay, I'm gonna be EARLY this week! I missed out on uplinking my card last week, so I HAVE to be early! :) I am so glad to be able to use more butterfly stamp sets! This weeks Make My Monday challenge was to make something with wings and use acetate on the project.

My first thought was do do a black and white card...but it was just so...well, boring! SO, I used black and white for cardstock, stamped my image onto the acetate with black ink, and then used TON of accent colors!

Here's what I came up with:

Like I said before, I stamped with black Stazon ink for my acetate panel and then colored the images on the back with Sharpies.

Here's a closer look:

Then, I stamped the butterfly with black ink onto white cardstock, cut it out and then colored the accents with Sharpies. I popped it up off the acetate panel and added BLING! :)

Here's a closer look at the pretty flutterby!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm so glad you did! Thanks to the ladies at Make My Monday!!! I hope you take time today to create something new! Happy crafting! :)
