Inspired By Stamping: Seaside Sentiments + Polka Dots Sneak Peek

Hiya, stamping friends! It's time for another day of the May release at the Inspired By Stamping online store! Today, we are showcasing the *NEW* Seaside Sentiments stamp set.  This set coordinates perfectly with the Seaside stamp set that we featured yesterday, so you'll need to grab BOTH!  Take a peek at my card for today...

I decided to do some shadow stamping with this beautiful sentiment from the Seaside Sentiments stamp set.  I chose two blues because, well...read the sentiment, lol!

I decided to use the yet-to-be-released Polka Dots stamp set to create a bubbly, watery background.  I first watercolored some different blue and aqua inks onto a panel, sprayed it with glimmer mist, then stamped different images from the Polka Dots stamp set with blue inks and silver ink.

All that I had to do to finish it up was to add some glitter paper and deep aqua cardstock mats.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way this turned out!  What do you think?  I'd love for you to tell me in a comment below!

That's all for me today!  Hop over to the Inspired By Stamping online store to grab this new set, and take some time to visit the Inspired By Stamping blog for more inspiration, too!  I'll be back tomorrow with more inspiration using more *NEW* products!  Until then, HUGS and happy stamping!

House of Cards: One Last Bokeh Card

Hi, friends!  I'm back with another card for this month's challenge at House of Cards--bokeh!  If you've never tried this, you totally should!  I LOVE it.  This card was my thrid try at this technique and I am IN LOVE with the way it turned out!  Come and take a peek...

I chose to go with a sponged background this time, and I spritzed it with Glimmer Mist to add shine, too.  I like the intensity of the colors this time around!  My sponging was done on Powdered Sugar cardstock from The Stamps of Life.

I used a sentiment from the upliftingwords2hear stamp set again.  I used some Licorice cardstock to create a very thin border around my panel, then I added some rhinestones to create some "rain".

The focal panel was then added to a Gingersnap cardstock card base that had been prepped with some patterned paper from the Celebrate Collection Patterned Paper Pad, also with a thin border of Licorice cardstock.  I super LOVE LOVE LOVE this fun card!  I think this one is going to be hard to part with!  What do you think?  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you come and join us at House of Cards this month, and make sure you check out the other cards that the gals on this amazing DT have made using this fun technique, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping! :)

House of Cards: More Bokeh

Hi, friends!  I'm back with another card for this month's challenge at House of Cards--bokeh!  If you've never tried this, you totally should!  I LOVE it.  This card was my second try at this technique and I am IN LOVE with the way it turned out!

I used some Licorice cardstock and a bit of patterned paper from the Celebrate Collection Patterned Paper Pad as banner accents, then added a button and some enamel dots to finish the focal panel.

The focal panel was then added to a Gingersnap cardstock card base.  I super LOVE LOVE LOVE this fun card!  I think this one is destined for my hubby...because he is all kinds of awesome!  What do you think?  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you come and join us at House of Cards this month, and stay tuned because I'll be back later this month with one last card that I made using this fun technique!  Until then, HUGS and happy stamping! :)

House of Cards: Bokeh Technique

Hi, friends!  I'm back with a card for this month's challenge at House of Cards--bokeh!  If you've never tried this, you totally should!  I LOVE it.  My first card (the one in this post) didn't turn out as nicely as I would have liked, but I'll be back throughout the month with other cards I made using this fun technique!  Come and take a peek at my card today...

This background was created with Faber Castell ink and a watercolor pen.  I then daubed the background with white ink and even some Wink of Stella pen.

The sentiment I used is from The Stamps of Life, from the upliftingwords2hear stamp set.  I layered my panel onto some Licorice cardstock to help the colors POP more, and added some sequins.

I then added my panel onto a card base that had been prepped with come paper from the Love Story Collection Patterned Paper Pad.  The base was made from Gingersnap cardstock.  I do like this, what do you think?  I'd love to hear in the comments below!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you come and join us at House of Cards this month, and stay tuned because I'll be back during the month with two other cards I made using this fun technique!  Until then, HUGS and happy stamping! :)
