Hi, friends!  Welcome to another fun technique tutorial week using the fabulous images by Great Impressions Rubber Stamps!  This week we’ll be learning how to do the CRAYON RESIST technique--hop on over to the Great Impressions Blog for the tutorial!  I’ll be making a fun gift tag that can go on any number of gifts!

Here’s a list of supplies you’ll need for this technique~

  • E767 Bubble Over
  • White crayon or colored pencil
  • Water color pen, blender pen, or small paintbrush
  • Cup of water*
  • Desired Inks
  • Paper and embellishments to finish your project

This stamp is SO versatile!  You can pair it as a sentiment with D715 Kitty in TubG478 Bubbly PigG46 Mouse with Bubble HeartsB168 Fish BowlF372 Cat and FishesF397 RainbowFishE649 A School of Fish, or G421 Bubble Fish.  You can use it alone as a sentiment on a card or use it as a gift tag as I’ve used it!  Some gift giving ideas using this sentiment for the tag include bubble bath, dish soap, bubbles, or even soda pop!  What a fabulous way to utilize your investment!

I hope you grab that image along with some of the other stamps mentioned as quick as you can and don’t forget to grab the supplies for next time’s tutorial!  I’ll be focusing on Halloween projects next month so our tutorials will be hauntingly sweet!  The first one is called Ghost Masking!

Here are the supplies you’ll need for that technique~

Thanks so much for stopping by!  See you next Thursday for another project using fabulous images by Great Impressions Stamps!  HUGS and happy stamping friends!

CYDI: Summer Smiles

 - Can You Digi It?

Hi, friends!  It's Tuesday again and it's been two weeks since my last Can You Digi It? challenge post, so welcome back for more digiliciousness!  Yes, that's a word...this time around we have a super fun theme--it's SUMMER SMILES!

Here's some inspiration for you~

When I thought about what makes me smile during the summertime, it was butterflies.  I hate going outside during the summer here in KS as it is incredibly hot and muggy, but when I do, I always smile when I see a beautiful butterfly!  What makes you smile during the summer?

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  I hope that you'll join us this fortnight for another super fun challenge!  I always love seeing what everyone comes up with--and don't forget to leave some love with the other DT members, too!  HUGS and happy {digi} stamping!

Scraps are people, too!

That's right.  I keep lots of scraps.  I have two LARGE drawers full of them.  One has all my patterned scraps and the other has my plain colored ones.  And they're people, too! ;)  So, it was time for me to dig through these drawers and see what I could do with them!

Here's what I made~

I've used patterned papers by Recollections (blue) and Stampin' Up!, a Hero Arts flower image, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  I hope that you like it and that you join in the fun with these fabulous challenges!  HUGS and happy stamping friends!

Lots of techniques going on here...

Hi again, friends!  Before I get started, I'd like to turn your attention to the top of this blog.  See those tabs up there?  I recently added a new one!  FOR SALE.  That's right.  I'm attempting to sell some of my stamps that need a home that will use them more than I will.  So please take a peek! :)

Also, I've deleted the tabs that took you to my other blogs.  Instead, I have a list on the sidebar to them.  Still available and easy to click, just not taking up a bunch of space at the top of my blog! :)

Anyway, I made a set of cards last night while trying out some new to me techniques.  I LOVE the way this set of cards turned out!

(Add 3 tiny embellies to your creation.)

I've used a dry embossing folder by Sizzix, a white crayon, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.  I've used the crayon resist technique as well as a technique where you use your die cuts to create a frame.  Perhaps video tutorials will pop up in the near future for these techniques. :)

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek at my creations!  I hope that you've been inspired to try something new today and to perhaps play along with these fabulous challenges!  HUGS and happy stamping friends! :)
