TRCC #8: Passion for Purple
I decided to continue my "stash rummage" for this creation. This time around, I found two Hero Arts stamp sets that haven't been used in a long while, some Simon Says Stamps ink that still wasn't open, and some patterned paper from Stampin' Up! from a long forgotten pack. A few enamel hearts and purple rhinestones accent the fun CAS design I kept to the left side of the card!

MHKDesigns: April Challenge
Hello, everyone! Happy April! It's time for a new photo inspiration challenge to match at MHKDesigns! This month's inspiration is also a way for me to share a bit of a SNEAK PEEK at one of our *NEW* sets being released soon! Take a peek at the challenge...
I was inspired by the colors and birdcage in the photo. I chose to practice doing some digital design with Photoshop on my card, and I hope you like what I came up with! Check out my creation...
The image and sentiment on this card are from the *NEW* Birdcage Silhouettes set. I layered them on top of a digital panel that was created using different bold colors and textured digital brushes. Some enamel hearts and wash tape were added for more of a finished look.
I also added a border of faux stitching to the card panel. I love the way the black "stitching" looks against the bold colors! What do you think? I can't wait to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends! I hope you hop over to join in our monthly challenge at MHKDesigns! There are prizes for each one, and you can use any products you'd like! :) Don't forget to leave some love with the other gals on this wonderful DT, too!
I'll be back soon with more creations for the
upcoming release using *NEW* MHKDesigns products!
Until then, HUGS and happy {digital} stamping, friends! :)

MHKDesigns: Eat Your Veg!
Hello, all! It's time for the June 2016 release at MHKDesigns, and there are some fabulous sets coming your way! Today's set contains some fun veggies and punny sentiments--MY FAVE! Take a peek at...
This set just screams "I LOVE YOU" in all sorts of punny ways! I will definitely be using this set a lot to make cards for my hubby! Come and see the card I created...
I colored the carrot image from the Eat Your Veg! set with colored pencils, then added a sentiment from the same set over the top after printing it onto vellum. I added some enamel hearts and sequins with liquid pearl centers to accent this focal panel.
I added some papers from the Glorious Garden paper pack to a kraft card base, and matted everything with black cardstock. Some black stitched ribbon and black pearls, in addition to punched corners, finished off this fun card. I totally love it, and I hope you do, too! I'd love to hear your comments below! :)
So, now that we have that out of the way, let's talk about how to get this new set OR the entire release for FREE! Here's what you'll need to do...

MHKDesigns: Sending Prayers & Love
Happy Monday, all! It's my day to post on the MHKDesigns blog using products from the MHKDesigns Etsy shop. I chose to make a "thinking of you" or sympathy card. Take a peek...
The sentiment, from the Perfect Poppies set, was printed onto vellum and then added to a panel prepped with paper from the Damsel in Distress pack. I added some cardstock as a border, then layered on glittery punched and enamel hearts.
I added my focal panel to a card base prepped with glittery purple paper, to match the hearts, and a half doily topped with ribbon. I think this turned out pretty well--and I think it will be able to be mailed at a moment's notice, too! What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends! That's all I have for you today, but I will be back later this month with inspiration for our next challenge. Until then, I hope you join in the fun of our CURRENT CHALLENGE, and take a trip to the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop to grab these goodies! HUGS and happy {digital} stamping, friends! :)

MHKDesigns: Fruit Borders
It's time for a new release at MHKDesigns and the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop has been stocked with the new digital stamp set and digital paper packs! Today we are showcasing the *NEW* Fruit Borders set. Take a peek at what I made...
I decided to keep this light and springtime fresh, so I did some selective coloring of the lemon border from the Fruit Borders set with glitter gel pens. I matted everything with kraft cardstock to keep with the lighter color scheme, and punched the corners to create a faux frame effect.
The sentiment, also from the Fruit Borders set, was printed onto vellum and added to the card with staples. I used the yellow houndstooth paper from the Party Hardy papers for my card base. A few white enamel hearts helped to lighten up the black of the image and sentiment.
I really like the way this card turned out, and I hope you do, too! I would love to hear your thoughts about it in the comments below!
