Washi Tape Series 04: Pink & Black Owl

Hi, friends! I'm back with another card that uses washi tape, this time as a fun background for a sweet punched owl! How cute is he?! Or she??? Take a peek...

I LOVE using black and white with one color, and, since this card was for a special friend who loves owls and pink, I went with PINK as my color! I used a variety of washi tapes from my stash, a punch from Stampin' Up!, and a die sentiment and papers from The Stamps of Life.

I LOVE the way this card turned out, and I hope you like it, too! I would love to hear your thoughts on it in the comments below! I look forward to reading them! :)

I'm entering this card into these fabulous challenges~

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends! I hope you take some time to relax and create today. If you do, I hope you link up with these fabulous challenges! Until next time, HUGS and happy crafting, friends!

Paper Sweeties December 2015 Release!

Hello, all!  I am super excited to be back today to share my creations for the Paper Sweeties December 2015 release!  I get to share all FOUR of my creations with you today, so let's get started!

My first cards uses the *NEW* Merry and Bright stamp set and its coordinating Merry and Bright Sweet Cuts dies!  I stamped the tree onto pattered paper, then added some die cut garland and enamel shapes as ornaments.  I layered the die cut star with an enamel star to add more shine and tie in all the enamel going on here. ;)  The sentiment was stamped onto vellum, then die cut using the Be Happy Sweet Cuts dies.  A doily was used as a "snow bank".  Some patterned paper and ribbon finished this card off!

Next up, another card using the Merry and Bright stamps and Merry and Bright Sweet Cuts dies.  This time, I stamped the tree, watercolored it, added a shadow.  I stamped the garland and ornaments, colored the ornaments in, then added a die cut star and glitter for detail.  Some ribbon up top helps to make the card look more finished.

I then turned to the *NEW* Sugar and Spice stamps and Sugar and Spice Sweet Cuts dies.  I make a fun ginger-girl using the dies, added some Marshmallow sequins for a necklace and as added sparkle other places, and some googly eyes.  SO FUN!  I kept the colors girly and fun.  The little candy cane is also from the Paper Sweeties store.  This could be used for a holiday card OR for any occasion where a little girl is celebrated!

Finally, I chose to shy away from the upcoming holiday (kind of) and make another card using the Merry and Bright stamps and Merry and Bright Sweet Cuts dies.  This one was SUPER fun--I stamped the star image directly onto the card base in silver ink, then heat embossed them with some clear glittery powder.  I added some ribbon, a strip for the sentiment, and a punched and die cut embellie.  I was thinking this would be a fun birthday card, graduation card, OR if I added some red, how perfect for the 4th of July would this be?!  I LOVE the versatility of these new sets! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you hop over to the Paper Sweeties store and grab these goodies!  For more inspiration, make sure to check out what the other DT gals have made this month!

Here's your list~

And Here's What's New!

That's all for me today!  I'll be back in the New Year with more Paper Sweeties goodness for you!  Until then, HUGS and MERRY crafting, friends! :)

Hi, friends!  HAPPY DECEMBER!  I am so excited to get to share with you some of the *NEWEST* products from Paper Sweeties, along with our monthly challenge!  Take a peek at our inspiration this month...

I LOVE traditional holiday colors, so that was my inspiration.  One thing that brings me joy during the holiday season is to share little treats, decked out with handmade wrapping.  That was my inspiration for my creation.  Check it out...

I used the *NEW* Sugar and Spice stamps and Sugar and Spice Sweet Cuts dies to create my packaging.  I added a few Marshmallow sequins for "buttons" and some rusty jingle bells for some added interest.  I then decided to add some googly eyes...my ginger-guy just needed them! ;)

I added some velvet ribbon to my chevron envelope. then layered all my elements together.  What's inside, you ask?  Well, a hot cocoa packet and a candy cane, of course!  Sugar and spice! ;)  I LOVE this fun creation, and I hope you do, too!  Please leave me a comment below to let me know what you think!

The Stamps of Life: Felt Piggy Banks

Hi, friends!  I'm back with another fun piggy card--this time I used some beautiful felt to die cut a piggy bank!  This card also uses some of the newest stamps from The Stamps of Life, and fun patterned papers.  Come and check it out...

The bank was created by die cutting some Bubblegum felt with the new Piggy Bank Die Set.  I added some silver glitter paper coins and a Strawberry cardstock heart to make it feel more like a bank.  I also added a googly eye...it's just fun! ;)

My patterned paper is from the Love Story Collection Patterned Paper Pad and I used Strawberry and Powdered Sugar cardstock to accent.  I also added some gray grosgrain ribbon for added texture.

The sentiment is from the morepiggy2stamp set and was stamped in Licorice ink.  I LOVE these punny sentiments--that's my THING! ;)  What do you think of this card?  I would love for you to leave me a comment and let me know!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend and that you get some time to craft!  I'll be back soon with another creation using fabulous products from The Stamps of Life!  HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Paper Sweeties March Release Rewind!

Well, Sweeties pals, I hope you've enjoyed this month's release inspiration!  I know that I had a BLAST creating with these amazing new products!  Don't forget to go and grab them all from the Paper Sweeties store TODAY!

I decided to save my favorite card for last. :)  I created a fun little springtime scene for your viewing pleasure...come and take a gander!

I started by paper piecing Abigail with the out fit from the new I Pick You stamp set.  She's colored with Spectrum Noir markers and had a rhinestone and liquid pearl accent added.  I think these little gals are all such dolls, don't you?  The Abigail Sweet Cut made her very easy to create and add to the card. :)

Next, I turned to making a springtime scene.  I added some flowers, the frog, and the basket from the new I Pick You set.  I gave the frog some googly eyes!  Some sequins in Bubblegum, Cookie Dough, and Robin Egg finished the grassy part of the scene.  They're held in place better with liquid pearl centers.

Lastly, I added some clouds from the Showering You With Love stamp set.  They were stamped onto some patterned paper to add more texture to the scene.  I stamped one with a sentiment from the I Pick You set and the heart in the sentiment was highlighted with some Sakura glitter gel pen.

I know!  TOO CUTE, right?!  I just adore how this turned out and I think I know the perfect little gals who will be receiving this sometime SOON. :)  What do you think?  I hope you share in a comment below!

That's all for me this month!  I hope you come back NEXT MONTH when I share MORE release creations using more NEW release products from Paper Sweeties!  Don't forget to check out all the other beautiful DT creations today, though...

Here's that list~

Great Impressions: BOO! Banner

Hi, everyone!  It's NO CARD/TAG week this week at the Great Impressions blog this week and our theme is HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS.  Today I have a fun Halloween banner that uses some Halloween stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Take a peek...

Here's my banner~

Details~

Great Impressions products used:

This is the same little ghost that I used on my card a few weeks ago, but here I removed the sentiment from him.  I heat embossed the BOO! and the ghost images in sparkly black (hard to see in these photos) and then filled in these little ghosts with glossy accents.  I'm not sure where this little banner will go, but I LOVE the way it turned out!

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at my creation!  Hop over to the Great Impressions blog for more inspiration and come play along with our monthly challenge, too!  If you use stamps from Great Impressions, you'll be able to link up your creation in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Fun Valentine Treats

I have just a few more Valentine treats to share with you today and then I will probably be done with this holiday until next year.  Well, after tomorrow, that is.  Tomorrow is actually the day that my DH and I celebrate--it's more frugal cheaper that way. ;)  I've made some fun treats to take to friends and I thought some of you might like to use these ideas next year!

First up: Vintage Kisses Holder~

For these fabulous challenges~

This and two others just like it are going to some very special friends for a little treat to let them know how much they're loved.  I've used up some paper that has been in my scrap drawer begging to be used for about 2 years, stamped heart by Stampin' Up!, a little tiny heart rhinestone by Studio G, eyelets from my stash, some gold tissue paper from Hallmark, and a gold pipe cleaner.  OH, the tube is....wait for it...a TOILET PAPER ROLL!!!  That's right!  I used a toilet paper roll!  A DT teamie made one of these and I just had to try it out!

Second up: Mustache Kisses Holder~

For these fabulous challenges~

(Googly eyes are my detail--get it?!
Okay, maybe that's stupid...)

This one is for my DH--think he'll like it?  I hope it makes him smile!  The paper is by DCVW, the heart stamp is by Stampin' Up!, the mustache is by Hero Arts, googly eyes and eyelets from my stash, some red tissue paper from the Dollar Tree, and a silver pipe cleaner.  And, yes, a tp roll!

Third fun project: Kisses Rings~

These were SO easy and fun to make!  I'm not entering them into any challenges, and I don't even know who I'm going to give them to, but if you'd like to make them yourself, follow these easy steps:

1. Take a pipe cleaner and cut it in half.
2. make an x with the two halves and twist in the middle to hold them together.
3. Place the Kiss flat side down in the middle of the x.
4. Twist the pipe cleaners around the point of the Kiss and make a circular shape at the bottom!

See, easy peasy!  There are tons of picture/video tutorials out there on how to make them.  I'm sure if you Google these, they'll all pop up!

Anyway, there you have it!  Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Stamping, friends!  HUGS to you all and thanks for stopping by!  See you soon!!!
