MHKDesigns: So Grateful

Hi, friends! I hope your November treated you well! Mine started out a bit rough, but it got better! I am back today to share about my month and a digital mixed media, triple time stamped card and I made using products from the MHKDesigns Etsy shop. Take a peek...

I am extra grateful for a lot of things in my life today. I had to undergo emergency surgery at the end of October and the recovery took up about half of November. I am so grateful to everyone who helped me during that time, so I thought I'd share a card with a thankful theme! :) This card uses a sentiment from the Thankful Thoughts digital stamp set and images from the I've Been Framed, Chicken In, and Fabulously Fall digital stamp sets.

I printed the panel I created in Photoshop three times so that I could die cut them to create a triple time stamped focal panel. A few pearls and paper leaves finished this off. I LOVE the way it turned out! What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

That's all I have for you today, friends! Thank you so much for stopping by! I always love to hear from you, so please do let me know your thoughts in the comments below! Don't forget to head over to the MHKDesigns blog for more inspiration and join in our *NEW* challenge tomorrow for your chance at winning some digital goodies from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! Until next time, HUGS and happy {digital} stamping, friends!

MHKDesigns: Triple Time Stamping w/ Digis!

Hey, friends!  I am super excited to share my card with you today!  This card uses some lovely digital products from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop, and I've got a video tutorial on how I created the effect, as well!  Take a peek at the completed card...

Fun, right?!  I decided for this card that i was going to play around with the Triple Time Stamping technique, but with digis!  Here's a quick run down of what I did (video tutorial can be found HERE on my YouTube station):
  1. Print out the image (mine from the Blossoming digital stamp set) three times, in the same size.
  2. Die cut each panel using nesting dies in three sizes.
  3. Color all images the same way.
  4. Add sentiment (mine from the Pansy Corner digital stamp set) to the top panel. (Optional--you could also print the sentiment as part of your main panels, if desired.)
  5. Layer with simple matting.

Totally simple, right?!  I used Spectrum Noir markers to color the image from the Blossoming digital stamp set.  I went with oranges and yellows, and I love the way the colors POP with the black matting!

The sentiment, from the Pansy Corner digital stamp set, was printed onto vellum, then added to the top panel before I adhered it in place.  I decided to keep this card flat, so I didn't use dimensional foam.  It will be PERFECT for sending in the mail! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you join the monthly challenge we have going on at MHKDesigns!  Grab these goodies from the Etsy shop, take a peek at the video tutorial I have on how to create this technique, and get crafting today!  I'll be back later this month with more crafty posts!  Until then, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

House of Cards: Lots of Layers and/or Color Inspiration

Happy November, friends!  It's time for another fun challenge at House of Cards, and this month we'd like to see lots of layer and/or have you be inspired by this photo/color inspiration...

I decided to go with lots of layers, and share a card made using digital stamps from MHKDesigns to create a triple time stamping effect.  You can click HERE for a video tutorial on how I was able to do this!  Take a peek at my card...

I used the Blossoming digital stamp set to create the background panels of this card, then layered a sentiment from the Pansy Corner digital stamp set on top after printing it onto vellum.  The flowers were colored with Sakura glitter gel pens and the centers jazzed up with some gold Stickles.

To finish this card off, I added a bit more glitter to the panel edges, along with a smattering of dark pink sequins.  I think this turned out to be a super fun card, and I hope you agree!  I would love to hear your comments below!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you take a bit of time to come and play along with us at House of Cards.  Don't forget to stop by the other DT members' blogs for even MORE amazing inspiration--they always blow me away!  I'll be back later this month with more crafty posts!  Until then, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Beautiful You: Triple Time Stamping

Hi, friends!  Most of you heard the good news last week that I am now designing stamps for Inspired By Stamping!  I am SO excited about my first set, and so I wanted to share a card I made with my Beautiful You set.  I decided to do some triple time stamping on this one.  Take a peek!

I started by die cutting my background panels and then doing some triple time stamping with images from the Beautiful You set.  I then matted them with navy cardstock and layered them on top of each other again.  I also added come black seam binding ribbon from the Halloween Ribbon Collection, along with a couple of buttons and some navy baker's twine. I decided to go with circles for the sentiment panel.  I added some more of the same images from the Beautiful You set around the sentiment to tie it in to the background panels.

I added liquid pearls to the flower centers and Stickles to the centers of the dots for more texture and shine.  I used dimensional foam to add a bit more interest to the panels.  I really love this card and I hope you like it, too!  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends!  Your visits and comments brighten my day. :)  That's all I have for today, but I'll be back soon with more cards and paper crafts for you to check out!  Until then, HUGS and happy stamping, friends!
