Make My Monday: Floral/Lily of the Valley

Welcome to a new month at the Make My Monday challenge blog!!!  We've got a fabulous new theme this month: FLORAL.  This week, we're asking for floral creations featuring lily of the valleys or a white flower.  I LOVE lily of the valleys as May is my birth month and that means that this is my birth flower!  And I LOVE the meaning behind the flower--return to happiness!  SO TRUE, as an educator, school's out at the end of May and I can return to crafting all day long! ;D

Here's my card for this fabulous challenge~

Details~

I used a vintage digital image from The Graphic's Fairy, colored it in with blender pens and a glitter gel pen, and  then sponged around the image.  For the background panel, I stamped random images from a few of my Pink Paislee sets and dry embossed it.  Some ribbon and Prima crystals finished it off! What do you think?

Since I used a Graphic's Fairy image, I'm entering this into Brag Monday!  Thanks for stopping by--I hope you like what you've seen and come play along with us at Make My Monday!  And don't forget to pop along to the other DT's blogs to see they're stunning creations!  Happy stamping!!! :)

Shabby Tea Room Card

Thank you to Debbie from the Shabby Tea Room!  I try really hard to follow rules, but I totally appreciate it when someone let's me know I've broken one--I'm being sincere.  I really am.  We're all human, and I really truly love it when someone lovingly reminds me that I am and helpfully corrects me.  I also want to apologize to the fabulous ladies over there for NOT following the rules.  I'm here to fix the problem!  So, I've already shared this card, but here it is again in one post by itself so that I will be a rule follower (rules ARE made to be KEPT).  It's for the Shabby Tea Room photo inspiration challenge entitled  "Spring is Love".

Here's the card & inside~

Here's the photo inspiration~

For more details, and to see more of the inside, please see this post!  Happy stamping, friends, and thank you so much, Debbie!!! :)

National Scrapbooking Day

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!!  I don't do traditional scrapbooking...have TONS of stuff to do it, but I just get bogged down and upset about all the embellishments not fitting in the page protectors.  SO, what's a girl to do?

Well, I don't know how many of you know this, but I LOVE making digital artwork.  I even have a digi art blog called My Uni-Verse.  It started out as a place to write poetry, but I was too self conscious to share a lot of it, so I started using it to put self made handouts for church lessons out there for those who'd like to use them.  NOW, it's just ALL of my digi artwork--scrapbooking (just started this), favorite quotes, scriptures, home decor, EVERYTHING digital that I make!

I've included a sample of my work above--feel free to save it and print it for PERSONAL USE. :)  If you like the sentiment, but want another style, find more here!!!  Also, if you're wanting something specific for your home, contact me and I'll be happy to make a digi print for you! :)

SO, the long and short of this post is that I hope you pop over to My Uni-Verse to see some of the digital layouts/pages I've made for National Scrapbooking Day!  Happy scrapbooking, friends! :)

52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown: Sketch #5

Hi, y'all!  It's my month to host again over at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown, and I've got a NON-CAS sketch for you this time!  Surprised?  Me, too! ;)

Here's the sketch for you~

It's not really me, is it?  OR IS IT?!  I LOVED making cards to go along with this sketch.  I made them with traditional colors and one's rather retro while the other is classic.  Would you like to see them?

Here's the first one with details~

Lots of paper piecing, patterned papers, and dry embossing were used in the making of this card.  This is the retro one...do you agree?  If not, what style would you call it because it was really hard to pin one down!  Since I've used striped paper, I'm linking this to the Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge: Stripes. Since I used a few punches, I'd like to enter this card into this week's Christmas Card Challenges: Punches Challenge.

Here's my second card with details~

This is the classic one.  Right?  I used some gorgeous patterned papers, a dry embossed frame, and a fabulous Bo Bunny Santa image for this card.  I LOVE the way the Santa image came out!  I'd like to enter this one into the Jingle Belles: Embossing challenge. :)

So, what do you think?  I really hope you all come and join in the fun this week--I LOVE seeing what everyone creates!  And don't forget to visit my dear friend and challenge co-owner, Jacqueline, for more fabulous cards made with this sketch!  Merry stamping! :)

Another couple of cards...

Two more quick ones for you tonight.  Both very different in their styles, but similar in the bold and bright colors. :)

Here's the first one~

Details~

This is another card made with my brand spankin' new, from Great Britain, GORGEOUS Everything Eleanor set from Stampin' Up!  It's for the One Layer Wednesday Women Rule! challenge and the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Green Thumb challenge. :)  It's also for "Spread the L-O-V-E".  It's a birthday card for a friend who's celebration is tomorrow and that I haven't seen in awhile.  I'll be popping by tomorrow night with a treat for her! :)

Here's the second card~

Details~

This one was a bit harder to make.  It's only the second circular card I've made, so it was kinda slow going.  I used a Spellbinders Nestabilities die to create the circle card base and then added some Stampin' Up! patterned paper I forgot I had as well as a darling image from Stampin' Up! that I forgot I had and a sentiment from Kaiser craft.  Rhinestones and glitter and ribbon finished it off. :)  This one's for the Mojo Monday sketch, the Creative Belli Animals challenge, the Color Throwdown Color Inspiration challenge, and the Stamptacular Sunday Spring Bling! challenge. :)

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you can play along and that I've inspired you to craft and create today!  Happy stamping, friends!!! :)  PS: How do you like my attempt at photo placement today?  Is it working, or not so much?
