Not autumn...and autumn

Hi, again!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! :)  I had the chance to make lots of cards--some for DT projects coming up and a couple of "just because" cards! :)

Howdy, ya'll!  It's time for another challenge at House of Cards! It's a sketch month, and this week we want you to COMBINE THE SKETCH WITH CLEAN AND SIMPLE STYLE!  Since October is a busy birthday month for us, I've got a birthday card to share with you today!

I've used a sentiment by Great Impressions, ribbon from my stash, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.

This card is for my little sister--she's turning 11 later this month!  For those of you who don't know, I'm the oldest of 9 kids, so there's a large range in our ages.  Yes, she's my youngest sister. ;)  And purple is her (an my) favorite color, so there you have it!

Great Impressions: Watercolor Emboss Resist

Two Autumnal Offerings

It's time for another "just because" post from me! :)  This time, I'm using a card style that I have wanted to try that is aptly used by my friend Ruth at Flower Sparkle.  THIS CARD inspired me to give it a go!  And I'm trying to use my new and old stamps that haven't seen the light of day recently or at all, so I grabbed out some of the stash and got busy!  I've got another card to share, too.  Both are autumn themed! :)

Sunflowers

It's me again!  And I have one or two more posts after this, too...so get ready! ;)  This time I've got a CAS creation that's perfect for the autumn or summer.  I love the way the sunflowers I made turned out!

I've used stamps by Inspired By Stamping, enamel dots by My Mind's Eye, gold glitter by Studio G, twine from my stash, and paper/ink by Stampin' Up!.

TIP: When paper piecing, stamp the image once onto the main piece of paper and then cut off the black outline from the patterned paper in order to create a cleaner feel.
