It's Fall, Y'all!

Hello, friends! I am back with another card for World Cardmaking Day! I recently found an adorable autumn image from The Paper Shelter, and I KNEW I had to make a card with it! Come take a peek...

I think this little gal is just too sweet! I knew as soon as I saw her that I would color her with autumn colors and surround her with die cuts!I also added some patterned paper that has a pierced border to echo the die cuts the image and framing layer.

I absolutely adored making this card, and I am super pleased with how it turned out! I think the colors are just perfect for fall, and the texture of the die cut leaves really helps finish this image off with an autumnal feel!

Great Impressions: Spotlighted Sunflower

Hi, friends!  I'm back today with another card using beautiful stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Today I have a fun autumnal card using one of my favorite techniques--spotlighting!  Take a peek at the completed project!

This is actually a pretty easy effect to create.  To start, you just need to stamp your image (G196 Sunflower Garden was used here) twice--once on a colored paper (I chose kraft) and once onto a neutral paper (I used cream).  You just punch a shape out of the colored paper, color in the image on the neutral paper (I used Sakura glitter gel pens), line them up, and adhere them together with dimensional foam to create a layered look.  You don't have to use the dimensional foam, but I think it adds a little something.  This is what it will look like up close...

After that, all you have to do is add it to a panel and put whatever bits you'd like for added texture!  I added part of sentiment E842 Happy Day to my panel along with some enamel dots and a bit of twine on the kraft pot.  I love it!

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at my creation!  Hop over to the Great Impressions blog for more inspiration and come play along with our monthly challenge, too!  If you use stamps from Great Impressions, you'll be able to link up your creation in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Golden Hello

Hello, friends!  I'm here with a "just because" one layer card for your viewing pleasure!  I had tons of fun stamping card and I hope you like it, too!  I've used stamps from the Inspired By Stamping store and I think they all mesh well.  Come and take a look...

Since this is a one layer card, all that really happened was some collage stamping and a bit of embossing...with some touches of bling! :)  I started by stamping the harlequin patterned strip from the French Country set.  I then added the chevron patterned strips using stamps from the Pretty Planners set.  I then added a sentiment from the Summer Fun set by heat embossing it in gold onto the card base.

I then stamped two leaves from the Happy Fall set near the sentiment and added a few gold sequins.  It's hard to photograph the shine of this creation, but it looks awesome in real life!  Anyone have any good tips for photographing metallic embellished creations?!  I'm all ears!

The finished product is a super fun CAS one layer autumnal greeting card!  This will definitely mail well and I think the recipient will like it, too.  Now to decide who to send it to! :)

That's all for me today!  I hope that you join in the fun of the fabulous challenges that I am linkin up with--you can find the list of them below my signature!  HUGS and happy stamping, friends!

Two Autumnal Offerings

It's time for another "just because" post from me! :)  This time, I'm using a card style that I have wanted to try that is aptly used by my friend Ruth at Flower Sparkle.  THIS CARD inspired me to give it a go!  And I'm trying to use my new and old stamps that haven't seen the light of day recently or at all, so I grabbed out some of the stash and got busy!  I've got another card to share, too.  Both are autumn themed! :)

Here's the finished project~
