Finding Joy in Vintage Style Crafting

Hi, friends!  As most of you know, I'm starting a new challenge blog called House of Cards and our first challenge goes live on July 1, 2013.  The concept behind the challenge is different from any other I've come across--take a peek HERE to see what that is if you're interested.  I'm starting it to force myself to practice different card making styles.  My least favorite?  Vintage/Shabby Chic.  It is REALLY hard for me to craft in this style.  So I'm grateful for other sites who are hosting vintage challenges right now so that I can practice! ;)

Here's my latest attempt~

Detail~

For these fabulous challenges~

Inspired-by-Stamping-June-B

Well, this was a journey!  I've used some patterned and glitter paper by DCWV, gold glitter glue by Studio G, pearls and seam binding from my stash, pins by Maya Road, flowers by Prima, stamps by Inspired By Stamping, die cuts by JustRite, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.  I have to say that I really am happy with the way this turned out--and on my first try! ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a peek at my creation!  I really appreciate all your support and sweet comments--they mean the world to me!  I hope that my card has inspired you to create something today and that you join in the fun with these fabulous challenges!  HUGS and happy stamping friends!

Very pretty. I look forward to the new challenge. Like you, this isn't a style I often make. It's always fun to try something new.
