DDD: Graduation Card + Wednesday Wisdom?

Hi, all!  I'm back with another fun card using digital elements from Diane's Daydream Designs!  This one was made for my little sister who graduated from high school this past weekend.  I cannot believe she's old enough to do that! ;)

Here's the card~

Details~

Products used: Tibits of Turquoise (paper), It's a Girl Thing (sentiment)

This card and time of year is always a reminder to me that life is always ending.  I know that may sound depressing, but I find it to be something that keeps me looking ahead and trying to do my best.  I think that it is natural to become a better person when we realize things are coming to an end.  We are kinder and more thoughtful for the most part at endings.

No scripture to go along with these musings this week, just a thought I've been having!  I'm going to try to make all my ends kinder and happier, I think!  Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!  I hope you hop over to the Daydream Design's store and grab these fabulous elements!  HUGS and happy stamping, all!

Shabby taggy...

There's just something about double consonants...I am really acting weird today, pardon the title and the weird aside! ;)  I said I was done, but I wasn't.  I decided to try to make something shabby and so I came up with a taggy TAG for your viewing pleasure!

Here's the tag~

For these fabulous challenges~

I've used stamps and lace trim from Inspired By Stamping, a crocheted flower by Close to My Heart, glitter by Darice, rhinestones by Prima, a rhinestone brad from my stash, and all ink and paper used is by Stampin' Up!.

Thanks for stopping by today to take a peek!  I hope you join in the fun of these fabulous challenges!  Take some time to do what you love today, friends!  HUGS and happy stamping!

I LOVE THIS CARD

Yes, I do.  I hate to admit it, but I rarely get super excited about my cards.  Okay, sometimes I do, but I usually get exceedingly excited about other peoples' cards and then judge mine compared to theirs.  BUT THIS ONE is different.  It literally is my favorite card I've ever made!!!  Hopefully you agree with me...

Here it is~

SO, what do YOU think?!  Isn't it gorgeous?!  I mean, seriously!  I was totally surprised when this was the finished product!  I was expecting my vision to be the same hot mess most of my "good ideas" turn into...but this one actually came off well!!!  I've used lots of buttons and pearls plus some flowers--one hand crocheted by the lovely Ellen at In a World of Craft.  I also used dry embossing (on the black panel, even though you can't see it very well, and for the frame of the silhouette) and baker's twine to create this lovely thing.

I'm so proud of it, I'm entering it into 5 challenges.  That's A LOT for one of my cards!  But I want to shout it to the world!!!

Here are the amazing challenges I'm entering~

Thank you so much for stopping by--I appreciate your willingness to allow me to brag about myself! ;)  I can't wait to see everyone else's amazing creations, too!  Happy stamping, friends! :)

Di says, "I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with likeminded people.
I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.
This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!"

Here's my card for our challenge~

I've used a fairy image off of a collage sheet from Swing Shift Designs. Added some vintage embellishments including hand crocheted flower from my dear friend Ellen at In a World of Craft to keep with the Victorian feel of the image.  I adore how this card turned out--it's not a style I usually create, but I LOVE it! :)

So, what are you going to create for us to see this week?  I can't wait to see! :) Happy crafting! :)
