Who's ready...

...for a bunch of cards from Mynnette?!  That's right, kids!  I've been making cards but haven't had time to show them to you, so now you have to endure tons of pictures in posts and multiple posts from me tonight!!! ;)  Let's get right to it--this post will feature my CAS cards and then we'll do another post for non-CAS cards! :)  Let's start with some faux stitching, shall we?

Here's my first "stitched" card & details~

My second "stitched" card & details~

For these fabulous challenges~

These cards were SO MUCH FUN to create!!!  I have a PTI set called "Faux Ribbon" that I usually just use the sentiments out of, but I knew immediately when I saw the stitching challenges that I'd have to use the stitched faux ribbon image in this set!  I had lots of fun randomly stamping my lines and then finding the perfect place for my sentiments and rhinestones.  I will definitely have to use this idea next time I need a super quick card!

Here's another CAS card~

(I made my own designer paper...)

When I saw that the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays, I immediately thought sympathy card.  But I didn't want it to be completely black, so to make my own designer paper, I started by dry embossing a piece of black cardstock with my Sizzix purse.  After it had gone through the machine, I sponged on  some silver ink and added some rhinestones.  Then I stamped a sentiment in the silver onto another small piece of black cardstock and punched it out, cut it down, and added it to my card.  Easy peasy, and I LOVE the way it turned out!

Thanks for taking a peek at my CAS cards--come back in a bit to see some non-CAS cards!  Happy stamping, friends! ;)

CASual Colors

Well, I've had an interesting weekend...Picasa.  That's all I'm going to say.  Some of you may know the issues I've dealt with--if you want more info about dealing with Picasa problems, email me and I will share what I've learned!  BUT, I do have a card to share with you today!!!

Here it is~

It was a fun card to make.  I used some cardboard from a package of patterned paper, cut a strip, added some washi tape.  Next, I put it onto my card, and added some elements!  That fabulous polka dotted arrow is from the die cuts that Katy sent me!!!  I'm loving them! :)  I'll be sending this to a special friend so it's also my weekly "Spread the L-O-V-E" card! :)

Thanks for stopping by--I hope you have a fabulous week and had a wonderful weekend!  Happy stamping! :)

Primrose Blessings & Simply Jane Framed

I've popped away for a bit to show you another couple of cards card I've made this past weekend...one using a free digital primrose image from Free Vintage Digital Stamps and can be found here!

I did some research to see how to color the delicious primroses, and found some fabulous pictures of blue ones--and it coordinated with the colors in the Frilly & Funkie inspiration picture, so I decided to go with that! :)

Here's the card (sorry for the poor photo quality)~

This card gave me fits.  I ruined about 5 pieces of acetate trying to get my vision into fruition!  But I have to say, it was worth it!  I LOVE the way this turned out! :)   Like I said above, this card really reflects my love for Jane Austen--I'm an Austen girl through and through!  I've learned so much about life from reading her books and I think I'd love to meet her right away when I get to heaven! ;)

Don't forget that I have blog candy, and I hope you join in some of these fabulous challenges!  Happy stamping, friends! :)

The last two for today...I think! ;D

LAST post for today, I promise, friends!  I've got two last cards to show you, and then I'll have to go and get crafty! ;)  Also, DON'T FORGET THAT I HAVE SOME DIGI BLOG CANDY I'M GIVING AWAY!!!  Let's get started with the actual post now, shall we...

For these fabulous challenges~

I've used the free digi from ADFD and then I decided to make teeny tiny pinwheels out of patterned paper.  This is the first time I've ever done it--and it was way easier than I thought it would be!  I LOVE the way this turned out--I think it's darling! And we may be making this card at my July workshop, I think!

Second card~

For these fabulous challenges~

Okay, this might sound silly, but I've had some washi tape for quite some time and haven't used it.  Because I was worried that I wouldn't use it RIGHT.  How do you use a craft supply WRONG? was my husband's question.  OKAY, he's right!  And this is what I came up with!  A washi tape sunrise!  Some strategically placed bling on top of the monochrome crumpled image with some pearly glimmer mist to finish it off!

I LOVE THIS CARD

Yes, I do.  I hate to admit it, but I rarely get super excited about my cards.  Okay, sometimes I do, but I usually get exceedingly excited about other peoples' cards and then judge mine compared to theirs.  BUT THIS ONE is different.  It literally is my favorite card I've ever made!!!  Hopefully you agree with me...

SO, what do YOU think?!  Isn't it gorgeous?!  I mean, seriously!  I was totally surprised when this was the finished product!  I was expecting my vision to be the same hot mess most of my "good ideas" turn into...but this one actually came off well!!!  I've used lots of buttons and pearls plus some flowers--one hand crocheted by the lovely Ellen at In a World of Craft.  I also used dry embossing (on the black panel, even though you can't see it very well, and for the frame of the silhouette) and baker's twine to create this lovely thing.

I'm so proud of it, I'm entering it into 5 challenges.  That's A LOT for one of my cards!  But I want to shout it to the world!!!

Here are the amazing challenges I'm entering~

Thank you so much for stopping by--I appreciate your willingness to allow me to brag about myself! ;)  I can't wait to see everyone else's amazing creations, too!  Happy stamping, friends! :)
