Blaming the Tornado

WOW.  I didn't schedule my post for today's Make My Monday challenge--I am blaming the tornado, but really I have no other excuse.  I hope my DT friends will excuse my oversight!!!  Our challenge this week is to make a masculine card with a theme of hobbies or sports.

Pampered Pooch

Have you met my fur baby yet?  Her name is Hundie (hoon-dee) and she is the most darling creature you will ever meet!  Don't believe me?

Here she is~

I know.  I told you I wasn't lying!  Anyway, the challenge over at Try It On Tuesday is to create a project with the theme of "Pampered Pets".  My little darling has a rhinestone bow attached to her.  She gets to sleep with my DH and us almost every night.  She has over 50 toys.  Yes.  She is a pampered pet!  I only have one stamp that is a dog, and I bought it especially because it looks like my little girl.

What do you think?  Cutting this really close, so I'll leave you for now!  Oh, we're safe from the storms, by the way.  The tornado literally passed 5 miles north of us.  Scary stuff.  But, we're ok!  As is my craft stash...is it wrong that I was most worried about that?!  Maybe I need to rethink my priorities...Happy stamping!!! :)

 I've used a fairy image off of a collage sheet from Swing Shift Designs. Added some vintage embellishments including hand crocheted flower from my dear friend Ellen at In a World of Craft to keep with the Victorian feel of the image.  I adore how this card turned out--it's not a style I usually create, but I LOVE it! :)

Nervous blogging...

So, we just had tornado sirens go off and the tornado is literally headed towards us, so I am nervously blogging.  Just finished a card for the Gingersnap Creations "Last Century" challenge.  I'm calling it "Fashionable Century".  Perhaps the last card for quite a while...maybe I'm just freaking out...anyway...

Prayers are very much appreciated.  I've never been so nervous for a storm as I am about this one--it's a very large tornado that is heading towards us.  Even if we don't get hit, many friends around us will, so I'm sure we'll have a lot of opportunities to serve our fellow man!

Cards for Men: Spring Colors (these colors remind me of tulips...)

I had a lot of fun using different textures on this card.  I stamped my under the seahorses and elements, ran the panel through my dry embossing machine, sponged the "waves", added crackle accents, used Prima crystals as bubbles, and used a gold gel pen to create a sandy bottom.  My sentiment is covered in glossy accents with some Prima crystals anchoring the bottom of it.  TONS of fun.  I really wasn't sure how it would come out, and I am pleasantly surprised!!!

This one was also really fun to make and I had a blast creating my flower!!!  I used the baby wipe reinker technique to create a stamp pad for my flower images.  I used up some more of the green butterflies I had made for this card, as I do not like to waste.  And some Aurora Borealis Prima crystals for some added sparkle!

So, there ya go!  I also used some more of the green butterflies to create a panel that I'll be using in the near future.  Fancy a peek?!

52 CCT Color Challenge #4

Welcome, welcome!!! Ready for another color challenge from 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown?! Good, because that's what we've got for ya this week!!! :) Your colors this time are green and white.

Here's my first card and details~

I have had this snowman set for awhile now and rarely use it! And it's SO cute!!! So, I dragged it out! ;) I added some clear glitter onto the snowman and the trees for some added depth. :)

Here's my second card and details~

I wanted to keep this one a bit simpler. I LOVE this image and I haven't used it in quite some time, so it was time to get it out! All that it took to embellish this was to color and highlight the image with blender pens and then to highlight again with a clear glitter gel pen.
