Back in the groove...

So, we're back for reallsies!  I got all the laundry done and the house cleaned.  I just didn't fold the laundry.  Is that bad?  I'm one of those people who feels that as long as it's clean, you can fold it yourself or else grab it out of the basket.  I need to make things--namely cards and crafts! ;)  So, that's what I did!  I made FIVE cards today!  One is a DT card for later, but I'll show you 2 of the other four tonight!

Here's the first card~

(Find my scrumptious digi HERE)

This card was fun to make.  I started by creating a panel with a photoshop program using the delicious strawberry digi from Free Vintage Digital Stamps and then printed it out.  I then colored the strawberries, dry embossed the panel with a folder from Stampin' Up!  I then added some ribbon, a twine tied button, and a cute sentiment from the Fresh Fruits set by Fiskars.  Voila!  Card finished and it looks oh so delicious!  And now for another card!

Hero Arts: CAS w/ sketches
(I've used a sentiment by Hero Arts & Basic Grey
 from the Kissing Booth Collection
in a set called "Friend Your The Best".)

This was such a fun card to make!  I just grabbed a bunch of bright cardstock and ribbon, dry embossed the blue panel with a Darice folder, put the papers and ribbon together, added a sentiment and some rhinestones, and here you go!  SO much fun!

Thanks for coming by and saying hi!  I've missed everyone and cannot wait to really get back into the groove!  I hope to be back tomorrow night with some more cards, but it's my first day back to work after summer break and we'll see. BOO.  I want more summer!  Happy stamping! ;)

PS: I had to post this darling picture of my fur baby!  I've missed her so!  Isn't she a doll?!

Not as CAS...

Hello!  Ready for some more cards?  These ones are not so CAS (one is kinda, but not really) but were equally fun to make!  I've gotta get to some real life things soon, so I'll make this quick!  I'm sorry for this, but there are three cards in this post...

First card~

(Inspired by the vase of roses and the Victorian feel.)

(I water colored my image.)

(Inspired by the colors and the simplicity of the photo.)

This card was really fun to make.  I made a card front using a free digi image found HERE and then water colored it.  I added some glitter glue, a sentiment from PTI's "Simply Jane" stamp set, and then some bits of bling.  I LOVE IT.  I think this will be one of those cards that I have a hard time giving away.  I actually might frame it and put it somewhere in my home.  Let's keep going!!!

For these fabulous challenges~

I also used an old sketch from Sketchbook Saturdays~

This card was inspired by the book/movie "Little Dorrit" by Charles Dickens.  There is a scene in the most recent film adaptation where a room has this luscious red and black wallpaper with a brocade pattern.  Hence my brocade embossing.  The sentiment is also about the two main characters in the movie--Amy Dorrit and Arthur Clennam.  They are so fantastic!!!  You should check this book/movie out--it's fabulous!  I also used punches on this card, since it's the dessert option at Dynamic Duos.  I used a border punch and my main image is made from two punches, plus the red punched leaves!!!

Third & last card~

(I've used a brand new to me digi from ADFD!)

This card uses a brand new to me digi from ADFD!  I masked off the image in order to get script only on the background of the image and then colored the peacock, added glitter and pearls, and put it on the card!  There is also script on my patterned paper and lots of circles throughout this card!  Here is a TIP: when you print off a page of digis onto cardstock, print another copy of it onto plain computer printing paper in case you decide you want to use masks later.  You can keep these in a file folder for later use!

That's it.  Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you're having a fabulous day and I will see you soon!  Happy stamping! :)

Here's my card~

Thanks so much to the girls at JUGS--I had never tried this technique and LOVE it!  I got to use 2 Kaiser Crafts stamps that haven't gotten much, if any, use so that makes me very happy!  I stamped the images in Baja Breeze and then used a watercolor pen to color the roses pink and add more blue to soften the scene.  Oh, and of course some glitter for a little bit of fun!  I decided that my window needed some shabby chic drapery, and so I added some lace, punched paper, and satin stitched ribbon to create a soft and feminine feel.  Did I succeed?  I like to think I did!  I LOVE the way this turned out--so pretty!

Thanks for stopping by--I hope to see some of YOUR creations soon, so please come and play along at these fabulous challenges!  Don't forget to join my BLOG CANDY and my challenge at TECHNIQUE TUESDAY as well!  Happy stamping!!!

The First One....

Yes.  I have been very busy avoiding any housework that needs to be done today!  What have I been doing, you ask?  Well, I have made 5 easel cards!  I made my first one yesterday and I like to practice a lot so that I can perfect something.  I will show you all 5 over the next few posts, but I'll only show you one of them in this post as I took lot's of pictures...and all the other ones are patriotic! ;)

Here's the first one~

Yes.  Lots of photos!  I chose Pear Pizzaz to go along with my crumb cake this week!  I was thinking some sort of purple, but it just wasn't working with any stamp images, and then I saw this bird stamp from SU! that I've had for quite a while and haven't used and the rest is history!  What do you think?  I rather like it!

Thanks so much for stopping by today--I hope  you come and play along with these amazing challenges!  Happy stamping friends!!! :)

This is not a digi card...

I know, you were expecting a digital image, weren't you! ;)  Well, my blog candy is still up for grabs, and I'll have a digi card for you here in just a bit.  BUT FIRST--I have a "real" card! ;)  Just kidding--this is just a card I made using rubber stamps!

Here it is~

For these fabulous challenges~

I made my designer paper by taking a piece of Pink Paisley paper, adding a bunch of stamped Regal Rose butterflies, and sponging the edges.  I used my Spellbinders scallop circle dies along with my SU! butterfly embosslit--sorry that I can't remember the name of it right now!  A bunch of bling and a few hat pins, and voila!

What do you think?  I think it's pretty...but I may be entering into these challenges again as I'm not 100% happy with it.

I hope that you are having a fabulous day!  Thanks for stopping by and saying hi!  Happy stamping! :)
